<div style="text-align: center;"> <img alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/02/asus-transformer-padtf300red-1330305862.jpg" style="width: 538px; height: 445px;" /></div>Remember when we said ASUS <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/02/27/asus-rebrands-its-tablets-transformer-pads-announces-the-infi/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">was adding</a> another tablet to its stable? Let's bump that number to an even two. ASUS just announced the Transformer Pad 300, a lower-end match to the new Infinity Series (and also made a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/02/02/asus-tf300t-tablet-shows-up-in-leaked-pictures/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">quick appearance</a> earlier this month). Hilariously (if rapidly aging gadgets can ever be funny), the 300 is, for all intents and purposes, a watered-down version of the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/12/01/asus-eee-pad-transformer-prime-review/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">original Transformer Prime</a> -- until recently the most lustworthy tablet. So far as we can tell, the only differences are that it offers different color choices (blue, white and red), a slightly downgraded display and optional LTE. Also, the back is made of plastic. Once again, it has a Tegra 3 chip, 8MP / 2MP cameras, HDMI and a 10.1-inch, 1280 x 800 IPS display. Interestingly, this guy has a regular 'ole IPS screen, not the 600-nit Super IPS+ panel used on the original Prime and the new Infinity tab. The 300 also comes with a fixed 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD), whereas the original Prime packed 32GB at the lower end. Still, ASUS won't skimp on some things: it ships with ICS, like its brother, and promises up to 10 hours of battery life (that's 15 with the optional keyboard dock, which is an hour less than what the Infinity Series claims). No word yet on availability, so expect some further announcements in the coming months with pricing specific to different regions.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/asus-transformer-pad-300/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">ASUS Transformer Pad 300</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/asus-transformer-pad-300/4846653?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/02/asus-transformer-padtf300-1330331106_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/asus-transformer-pad-300/4846654?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/02/asus-transformer-padtf300red-1330331107_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div>

<div>
	Say hello to Spar -- a newcomer to the land of wireless audio. Today, the company is officially accepting pre-orders for its Zephyr lineup of rechargeable <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/bluetooth+speaker/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Bluetooth speakers</a>. The portable units are similar to others such as <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/12/28/jawbone-jambox-vs-soundmatters-foxl-v2-fight/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Jawone's Jambox</a>, offering wireless music streaming, speakerphone functionality and portability, but also feature the ability to juice up your smartphone over USB. In total, you'll have a your pick of three Zephyrs, priced from $99 to a moderate $160 (including cables, a case and a charger). First up is the "pocketable" 300 model, which has a 12-hour battery and a black paint scheme (along with red and blue for a limited time). If that won't cut it, the slightly larger 500 variant packs 18-hours of battery life and comes in choice of white or black. Rounding out the bunch is the aluminum-housed 550; it features a massive 28-hour battery and comes in a either silver or black. If you're willing to give this new kid on the Bluetooth-block a try, the Zephyrs are set to ship by year's end and you'll find more info at the source link below. Full press release after the break.</div>

<a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/tesla?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Tesla</a> took the opportunity just before <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/ces,2011?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">CES</a> to reassure potential buyers that its <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/models?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Model S</a> wouldn't follow the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/fisker,karma?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">competition</a> by creeping up in price ahead of release, and now we have what looks to be final confirmation: a full MSRP, complete with prices for all the different battery options. A base Model S, with an estimated 160 miles of range, will retail for $57,400 and will of course be eligible for the $7,500 federal tax credit. The 230 mile range version will carry a $10,000 premium, and if you want a chance at making 300 miles on a charge it's another $10k on top of that. <br />
<br />
So, $77,400 then if you want the top of the line Model S 300, which initially will be called the "Model S Signature Series" in the US, a limited edition run of 1,000 autos with big batts. Deliveries are expected to begin sometime around the summer of 2012, with the 230 and 160 versions coming later in the year. Tesla hopes to produce 5,000 of the cars in total in 2012, a whopping 20,000 in 2013. Oh, and should you live in a market that requires a right-hand drive model you have about a two year wait ahead of you. That's what you get for driving on the wrong side of the road.

<div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/02/07/canon-intros-powershot-sx-230-elph-100-300-500-hs/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="0" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/02/sx-230-hs-rm-eng.jpg" alt="" /></a></div>
Eschewing the CCD of the past, Canon's new PowerShot lineup -- we know, it sounds like a familiar tune, but hear us out, these are new -- all boast a 12.1 megapixel CMOS sensors. The quartet enjoys the 12.1 megapixel HS (High Sensitivity) sensor, an improved variant of the ones introduced a year back with the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/08/19/canons-powershot-lineup-hands-on-the-best-of-the-rest/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">S90</a> and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/10/22/canon-powershot-g11-review-roundup/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">G11</a>. In fact, the ELPH nomenclature has nixed "digital," "SD," and "IS" in favor of the more simplistic (but still elongated) "ELPH HS." So without further ado, the PowerShot ELPH 500 HS features a 3.2-inch touch panel screen, 4.4x optical zoom, ultra-wide angle 24mm lens with optical image stabilization, and color options including siiver, brown, and pink. The ultra-slim ELPH 300 HS has a 2.7-inch LCD, image stabilization, 4x zoom and a 24mm wide angle lens. On the lower end of the spectrum, the 100 HS comes in five colors, has a 4x optical zoom, a 3-inch LCD, and a 4x optical zoom -- otherwise, it shares many features of its bigger 300 HS brother. Meanwhile, the (non-ELPH) SX230 HS has a 14x zoom, GPS, and a 3-inch LCD. Price and release date? All are due in March (the 100 HS in the beginning of March, the rest by the end), with the 100 / 300 / 500 HS going for $199.99, $249.99, and $299.99, respectively, and the SX-230 for $349.99. Peruse the pics below -- enjoy!<br />

When Polaroid <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/02/08/polaroid-no-longer-does-polaroids/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">left the instant film market</a> back in 2008, it left a gaping hole that <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/impossibleproject?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Impossible Project</a> has attempted to fill with its overpriced reproduction paper. We're guessing <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/06/lady-gaga-named-polaroid-creative-director-puts-that-liberal-ar/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">someone</a> at Polaroid saw that and thought: "Hey, why don't <em>we</em> charge too much for instant film, and make an overpriced camera to use it in?" And thus the $90 Polaroid 300 was born. Yes, $90 for the sort of instant point-and-shoot that, a few decades ago, you could pick up for under $20. And the film? Ten shots for $10. Nostalgia don't come cheap, people. The camera and the film release in May, and if this is how the reborn Polaroid is hoping to stay afloat we're thinking the death of instant film is at hand -- again.<br />
<br />
<strong>Update: </strong>As Peacock has pointed out in comments, this isn't even an original product. It's a rebranded Fujifilm Instax Mini 7 -- which costs a slightly less egregious $67 at various online retailers.

<div style="text-align: center;"><img hspace="4" vspace="4" border="1" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/10/hp-touchsmart-hands-02.jpg" /></div>
While the hardware on the outside looks to hardly be a departure from the norm for <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/touchsmart?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">HP's TouchSmart line</a>, there's some exciting stuff going on under the hood. Of course, multitouch is the big buzz this season with Windows 7 onboard and those fancy Surface apps are fine to play with, but more important is what HP is doing with its own TouchSmart application. It's added panes for Hulu, Netflix, Twitter and an HP Music Store powered by Rhapsody, which work in nicely with the rest of the touch-friendly apps onboard and a bit of underlying Microsoft technology keeping things humming -- like a nice big handwriting pane for quick Rhapsody searches. There's also a voice controlled recipe app that can capture recipes from popular recipe sites and read them out loud to you, and the photo app can hook up with a phone over Bluetooth and pull off photos. The other big new touch is the addition of HDMI and composite inputs, specifically for use with gaming consoles on the colorful 20-inch (300) and 23-inch (600) screens. What we would've really liked to see at this point would be a bit of that stylus-friendly capacitive Wacom tech, since a computer like this is dying to be turned into an easel, but this infrared camera-based stuff will have to do for now. HP had to hit these friendly $899 and $1,049 respective pricepoints somehow. Specs are nothing too special, but TV tuners, discrete graphics and Blu-ray are all in the offing. Meanwhile, HP's tossing all that fancy new software onto the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/11/19/hps-touchsmart-tx2z-multitouch-convertible-tablet-starts-at-1/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">TouchSmart tx2</a> convertible multitouch tablet, which starts at $800, and the dv3 is also getting a touchscreen <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/09/28/touchscreen-hp-pavilion-dv3-leaks-out-brings-dm1-ultraportable/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">as rumored</a> -- thought details are slim there. The tx2 and 600 launch on October 22, while the 300 lands November 1. <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hp-touchsmart-300-and-600-hands-on/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">HP TouchSmart 300 and 600 hands-on</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hp-touchsmart-300-and-600-hands-on/2359427?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/10/hp-touchsmart-hands-03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hp-touchsmart-300-and-600-hands-on/2359442?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/10/hp-touchsmart-hands-04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hp-touchsmart-300-and-600-hands-on/2359441?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/10/hp-touchsmart-hands-05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hp-touchsmart-300-and-600-hands-on/2359440?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/10/hp-touchsmart-hands-06_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hp-touchsmart-300-and-600-hands-on/2359437?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/10/hp-touchsmart-hands-07_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hp-touchsmart-300-and-600-press-shots/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">HP TouchSmart 300 and 600 press shots</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hp-touchsmart-300-and-600-press-shots/2359462?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/10/hp-touchsmart-pr-03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hp-touchsmart-300-and-600-press-shots/2359461?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/10/hp-touchsmart-pr-04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hp-touchsmart-300-and-600-press-shots/2359452?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/10/hp-touchsmart-pr-05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hp-touchsmart-300-and-600-press-shots/2359447?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/10/hp-touchsmart-pr-06_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hp-touchsmart-300-and-600-press-shots/2359460?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/10/hp-touchsmart-pr-07_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div>

Sony's PlayStation 3 already <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/08/27/sonys-new-ps3-slim-ads-prove-it-gets-the-internet/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">only does everything</a>, so what more could you possibly need? Australians can find out for themselves with the Ultimate Blu-ray Movie Kit. Don't let the name fool you, it's really just the PS3 remote and two discs, but at $60 AUD (that's $51 for US), it's only one Banjo Paterson / $10 AUD more than what the remote retails on its lonesome. Both bundles include <i>300</i> as the first film, so you're really choosing between <i>10,000 B.C. </i>and <i>Batman Begins. </i>Not exactly a tough decision unless you already own <i>Batman</i>, but then again, you still might opt for a second copy instead.<br />

It's been some time since CES 2009 and the requisite flood of brand new Blu-ray hardware flooding store shelves. Now that most of them are for sale, Scott has the same question I'm sure many of us are wondering - which one is the best?<br /> <br /> "I'm finally ready to jump on the Blu-ray bandwagon and move up from DVDs, but I have no idea which player to buy. I'm not really looking for a universal player like the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/BDP83/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">BDP-83</a>, and I'm not sold on streaming services just yet and I'm not in need of discrete analog outs. I just want a high quality picture, support for all the audio codecs and fast load times. With a budget of around $300, where should I turn for the Blu-ray player that fits me, or should I just grab a PS3?"<br /> <br /> You have your mission if you choose to accept it, now that many of us have some hands on time with the latest and greatest hardware so let him know which one you like.<br /><br /><em>Got a burning question that you'd love to toss out for Engadget HD (or its readers) to take a look at? Tired of Google's blank stares when you ask for real-world experiences? Hit us up at </em><strong>ask at engadgethd dawt com </strong><em>and keep an eye on this space -- your inquiry could be next.</em>

It appears Warner has finally <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/26/warner-bringing-300-again-jfk-and-casablanca-to-blu-ray-this/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">gotten around to this double dip</a>, with the (re)release of <em><a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/300?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">300</a>: The Complete Experience</em>. For fans (who will probably be in stores at launch July 21 picking up Zack Snyder's <em>Watchmen: Director's Cut</em>) there should be plenty to make up for the extras <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/06/29/warners-300-to-sport-bonus-features-on-hd-dvd-not-blu-ray/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">left out last time around</a>. Besides the formerly HD DVD-only blue screen picture-in-picture video track, there's three new Blu-ray exclusive PiP features: Creating a Legend, Bringing the legend to Life and The History Behind the Myth. No word on price, but the three disc set will include a digital copy DVD, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/BDLive/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">BD-Live</a> My Community Screening and My WB Commentary support, all the old extras included with previous releases, a Dolby TrueHD soundtrack and 50 page collectible booklet. That enough to get you to buy again?<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/300-the-complete-experience/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">300: The Complete Experience</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/300-the-complete-experience/2015619?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadgethd.com/media/2009/05/300pics_3_051409_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/300-the-complete-experience/2015618?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadgethd.com/media/2009/05/300pics_2_051409_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/300-the-complete-experience/2015617?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadgethd.com/media/2009/05/300pics_1_051409_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/300-the-complete-experience/2015616?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadgethd.com/media/2009/05/300pics_4_051409_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div>

It's been a while since Garmin dropped any <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/06/hands-on-with-garmins-latest-gps-lineup/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">new gear</a> on us, but it looks like we're about to get a whole new series of nav units soon -- Buy.com and Amazon just put up listings for the Garmin Oregon 200, 300, and 400. The new boxes are a little smaller and lighter than the Colorado series, with a rugged, waterproof casing, 3-inch 240 X 400 sunlight readable touchscreens, customizable user profiles, and the ability to transfer waypoints, tracks, routes, and geocaches between units. We're assuming pricing will change when these things get real, but for now the 200 is listed at $420 and the 400C is listed at $558. It's not exactly clear what the specific differences between the line is, except that the 400 will come in several flavors, with the 400C variant sporting BlueChart g2 marine maps for the coastal US and Bahamas. Hopefully we'll get some more details soon, as these bad boys seem ready to go.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.buy.com/prod/garmin-hand-held-north-america/q/loc/111/208180092.html">GPS Tracklog</a>]<br /><br /><a href="http://www.buy.com/prod/garmin-hand-held-world-wide/q/loc/111/208180089.html">Read</a> - Oregon 200 listing<br /><a href="http://www.buy.com/prod/garmin-hand-held-north-america/q/loc/111/208180092.html">Read</a> - Oregon 400C listing

It was but a few weeks ago that we got wind of HP's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/06/hp-announces-hp-ipaq-300-series-travel-companion/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">iPAQ 300 Series Travel Companion</a>, and now the folks over at <em>AVing</em> have had the chance to wrap their palms around the slim navigator and browse its features. Granted, you're already well aware of the 312's specifications, but if you're interested in taking a closer look at the exterior (and the 3D maps, too), feel free to tag the read link for the full spread.<br /><br />[Thanks, Robert M.]

Reportedly, the copy of <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/300/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">300</a> that comes bundled alongside the Bourne Identity in any of Toshiba's third-generation HD DVD players completely omits the DVD side found on the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/07/27/300-hd-dvd-and-blu-ray-review-roundup/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">traditional</a> combo disc. Granted, the content on the HD DVD side remains exactly the same, but since the vanilla DVD held exclusive audio commentary, it seems that this particular disc adds "its own exclusive picture-in-picture video commentary" to compensate.

We know you've been dying to find out who's taking home that <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/07/31/win-a-super-rare-signed-300-edition-xbox-360-elite-and-300-hd-dv/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">super rare signed 300-Edition Xbox 360 Elite</a>. Well, you can all officially bum rush Erik Burgardt, since he's the lucky sucker taking this thing home.<br /><br />Just for good measure, in addition to the signed Xbox and 300 HD DVD, Microsoft also hooked him up with a copy of Forza 2, Crackdown, a year's Xbox Live service, and 1600 Microsoft points. Congrats Erik, everyone -- <em>including and especially us</em> -- is incredibly jealous.

According to <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/sales/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">sales</a> figures from the title's first week on shelves, more than 250,000 copies were moved on HD DVD and Blu-ray. Moreover, this mark makes it the fastest selling high-definition disc to date, and enables Warner Home Video to claim six of the top ten selling HD flicks. Of course, the news we're truly interested in -- which format made up the majority of the sales -- was unsurprisingly omitted.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.movieweb.com/dvd/news/07/21707.php">MovieWeb</a>]

Not only is the console above (which we happen to be giving away) one of twenty super limited edition 300-themed Xbox 360 Elites, it's -- are you ready for this? -- signed by 300 creator and comic legend Frank Miller, as well as Zack Snyder, director of the eponymous film. We've given away any number of Xbox 360s on Engadget in the past, but never one with the level of awesome turned up to 11 (or, in this case, 300). Today we're giving away one of just 20 super rare Xbox 360 Elite consoles printed with blood designs from 300 -- but rarer still since it's friggin' signed by Frank Miller. The details of what the winner takes:<br />
<ul>
    <li>300-Edition Xbox 360 Elite (120GB drive, wireless controller, etc.)</li>
    <li>Console is signed by 300 creator and comic legend Frank Miller, as well as Zack Snyder, director of the eponymous film</li>
    <li>300 combo DVD / HD DVD (which is, <a href="http://www.engadgethd.com/2007/07/30/hd-dvd-and-blu-ray-releases-on-july-31st-2007/">incidentally, out today</a>) to go right along with it.</li>
</ul>
Look, we'll admit it, we really don't want to give this thing away -- so make sure you follow the contest guidelines, ok?<br /><br /><strong>The rules (yeah, there are always rules):</strong><br />
<ul>
    <li>Leave a comment below -- tell us your fave scene from the movie. (It's ok if you haven't seen it, but where the hell have you been?)</li>
    <li>You may only enter this specific giveaway once. If you enter this giveaway more than once you'll be automatically disqualified, etc. (Yes, we have robots that thoroughly check to ensure fairness.) In other words, be careful when commenting and if you submit more than once, only activate one comment, ok?</li>
    <li>If you enter more than once, only activate one comment -- otherwise we'll send Leonidas after you.</li>
    <li>Contest is open to anyone worldwide!</li>

Frank Miller's previous effort Sin City was already well-received in HD with its highly stylized green screened special effects and <em>300</em> follows in the same vein. <em>High-Def Digest</em> didn't exactly love the "flat" look of the movie, but found the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/vc-1?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">VC-1</a> transfer an "accurate representation of the theatrical experience", while <em>IGN</em> couldn't find enough superlatives to describe the video on its way to a 10 of 10 rating. The Blu-ray version includes a PCM soundtrack alongside standard and TrueHD versions, but it didn't seem to add or detract much from a highly rated aural experience. The <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/06/29/warners-300-to-sport-bonus-features-on-hd-dvd-not-blu-ray/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">HD DVD exclusive features</a> include a PiP look at the film in preproduction, as well as an option to edit together favorite scenes and post them online for other fans to download via the player. <em>300</em>'s groundbreaking internet features are also tied to the anchor of Warner's ringtone and other paraphernalia advertisements, but in the end, all rated it a must-buy for your format of choice when released next week.<br /> <br /> <a href="http://hddvd.highdefdigest.com/300.html">Read</a> - <em>300</em> HD DVD review High-Def Digest<br /> <a href="http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/300.html">Read</a> - <em>300</em> Blu-ray review High-Def Digest<br /> <a href="http://dvd.ign.com/articles/807/807121p1.html">Read</a> - <em>300</em> HD DVD review IGN<br /> <a href="http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htf/showthread.php?t=259965">Read</a> - A Few Words About...<em>300</em> HD &amp; BD
