Never heard of Bēm Wireless? Don't worry, it's our first time, too. The audio company has taken to this year's CES to show of quartet of interesting wireless speakers. First up, its $300 Speaker Trio consists of a charging base that houses three wireless speakers -- no word on whether it's inductive, though, we'd hope so for that price. The cube-shaped sound pushers have a 120 foot range in total over Bluetooth, and come in either black or white. If you like the aesthetic of the Trio but only need one for traveling, the company also offers its Mobile Speaker. The unit runs over Bluetooth, comes in a few colors and costs a cool $70. Beyond those, Bēm is highlighting its larger Boom Box 2.1 Bluetooth system with a handle, which looks similar to Sony's NFC-loaded $99 SRS-BTM8. Sadly, it may be harder sell at $250 (if it's similar in size to Sony's), but it'll net you 10 hours of wire-free music streaming per charge. Last up in the lineup is the "juice box-sized" Outlet Speaker, priced at $99. Similar to an offering by JBL, the unit plugs directly in your power outlet, letting you stream music over Bluetooth from "up to 25 feet" away. We'll do our best to check these out on the show floor, so check out the press release past the break to find more info in the meantime.

  • Your Guide to Dailies: Unlocking Blade's Edge

Once you are familiar with the daily quests offered in Skettis, you will begin searching for more dailies. After all, you can complete up to 10 of them per day. By completing only two or three, you are bypassing a large amount of guaranteed gold. Unlocking these quests will also increase your grind toward a nether ray flying mount. The next step then is to set your sights on Ogri'la and the Skyguard Outpost in Blade's Edge Mountains (see map above). Unfortunately, you won't be able to fly up there, do a little dance, and expect them to hand you out the quests. In fact, you might as well buckle in, because the upcoming chain is long and involved. Fear not; by following this guide, and consulting the map, you should be welcomed by Ogri'la in no time.It all begins with a naaru residing in the Terrace of Light, a long way from the mountainous regions inhabited by ogres.

For today's Around Azeroth, we're featuring a fantastic screenshot from Blade's Edge Mountains that was sent to us by Athmeno from the Moonrunner server. Here's what he had to say:I think this shot perfectly captures the attention to detail of The Burning Crusade. I love how little things like this immerse you in a wider, more colourful world than just what the player would normally see doing quests. Obviously this is natural selection at work; you've got to be a pretty dumb dragon to fly into the spikes of the Blade's Edge Mountains at speed! We have to admit, we've flown a little too close to those spikes ourselves, but spiking yourself on them takes some real talent! If you have a unique shot of Azeroth or Outland that you'd like to show off to the rest of the world, tell us about it by e-mailing aroundazeroth@gmail.com. You could find your pictures and story featured next on Around Azeroth! %Gallery-1816%

  • Blue Notes: Aran's Flame Wreath and Blade's Edge graveyards

I have two quickies for you all in the wake of the Alchemy issues. One bug with the Shade of Aran has been fixed:Beneficial immunity effects from abilities such as Ice Block and Divine Shield will no longer cause the Shade of Aran's explosion effect from Flame Wreath to proc when the duration has faded.I'm sure he'll still wipe my guild without breaking a sweat -- he's what we're currently stuck on in Karazhan. Aran is the sixth boss in Karazhan (or so). Flame Wreath is an effect that puts a ring of fire around you; if you move, thus placing your character in the flames, it pretty much wipes the raid. And another piece of bug-fixing goodness, they've fixed that ridiculously obnoxious graveyard bug in Blade's Edge Mountains. I'm sure I'll still hate the zone when I take my third Outlander through there (Mage perhaps?), but a little less, now:All characters that die on the Northwest plateau of Blade's Edge Mountains will now be sent to the Evergrove graveyard.Previously, if you died up in the northwest of BEM, your ghost appeared at the Sylvannar graveyard (for Alliance; I'm not sure what the Horde equivalent is). While this is geographically closer to the northwest part of the zone than Evergrove is, due to BEM's labyrinthine layout, it takes a good ten minutes to run back to your corpse from there.

  • Wiltshire inventor perfects egg boiling sans water

Sure, you might have a microwave that automatically analyzes your food and cooks it to perfection without any culinary knowledge whatsoever, but boiling an egg is an art form mastered by few. Simon Rhymes, however, has put his curiosity to work by crafting the Bulbed Egg Maker (BEM), which boils an egg without a single drop of water or hint of kitchen prowess. Apparently our pals across the pond take this egg cooking ordeal quite seriously, as the Bournemouth University student one upped the inked shell solution already available by utilizing excess heat from "high-powered halogen bulbs." His contraption stands 12-inches tall, and four halogen lights surrounding the delectable oval transfer just enough heat to "perfectly boil" an egg in exactly six minutes. Of course, it took 600 trial runs and an awful lot of trash bags to finally ace the challenge, but now Rhymes is scouting investors to push his product to market. So if we've got any famished VCs in attendance, maybe you can give Simon a hand in realizing his ultimate dream of making "BEMs as popular as toasters" (or MacBooks).
