With the way CompAmerica goes around bragging about the superiority of its laptops, you'd think that the company was some high end, boutique gaming manufacturer -- instead of one of the many companies simply offering rebadge after rebadge. Just like other 'bigger than life' players such as Eurocom and Rock, ol' CA makes most of its loot selling machines originally available from Clevo, so it should be no surprise that its latest 'most powerful laptop on Earth' -- the 17-inch Orca Extreme -- is really just that D900C we saw last month. You know, Core 2 Extreme CPU, dual GeForce 7950 GTX cards in SLI, up to 4GB of RAM, and of course those three hard drives that can offer up to 600GB of storage in RAID 0. This whale of a laptop can be yours immediately -- that is, if you don't already own one of its doppelgangers -- starting right around $2,600.[Via laptoping]

CompAmerica is taking its Tiger Shark lineup to new heights by introducing the 9500 x2, which joins the elite (and ginormous) crowd of ridiculously large 20-inch laptops. While not directly dubbed as yet another "most powerful laptop on Earth," this behemoth packs quite a wallop, including an AMD Turion 64 X2 processor, WSXGA+ LCD, dual NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX or Quadro FX 2500M SLI graphics sets, 512MB to 2GB of DDR3 RAM, up to 120GB SATA hard drive, a built-in 1.3-megapixel webcam, optional TV tuner, and a dual-layer DVD burner. Additionally, you'll find a 7-in-1 flash card reader, gigabit Ethernet, 802.11a/b/g, full sized keyboard with number pad, four speaker sound system (including a "subwoofer"), front panel audio controls, DVI / S-Video / composite outs, FireWire, serial port, audio output, and five USB 2.0 ports to round things out. This 15-pound machine starts out around $3,399, but you can tweak this bad boy 'til your credit card cries uncle if you so desire.[Via CompAmerica]

Better known for its ultra-wide and uber-powerful lap-burners, CompAmerica is taking things down a few notches with its newly-released Snow Leopard 6220. Complimenting the high-end machines, this ultralight "bundle of mobile computing joy" sports the usual me-too white enclosure, 12-inch WXGA LCD, 1.2GHz Intel U1400 Core Solo processor, 512MB of RAM, 40GB 5400RPM hard drive, dual-layer DVD±R / RW burner, 802.11a/b/g, integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics set, and a 4-in-1 flash card reader. This 2.8-pound (including battery) notebook also sports a myriad of ports, including 4-pin FireWire, PCMCIA, 56k modem, audio out, Ethernet, VGA output, and a trio of USB 2.0 connectors. While the Windows XP-powered machine may mimic the ole MacBook at first glance, the magnesium alloy casing should withstand a bit more abuse, and the built-in fingerprint scanner offers up a warm feeling of security to boot. The Snow Leopard 6220 can make your holidays white regardless of locale for $1,399.[Via Laptoping]
