<p>After winning yesterday's Corsair Overclocking competition at <a href="http://engadget.com/tag/computex2013?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Computex</a>, the same folks were brought over to ASUS' ROG event earlier today, where they overclocked an Intel <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2013/06/01/intel-haswell-launch/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Haswell</a> Core i7-4770K from its typical 3.5GHz to a staggering 6.88GHz -- just a tad less than yesterday's 6.98GHz -- on an ASUS <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2013/06/04/asus-rog-the-ultimate-gaming-machine-poseidon/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Maximus VI Extreme</a> motherboard. As a bonus, the DRAM frequency was also pushed to 4.1GHz, which is believed to be the fastest yet on Haswell. As usual, the overclockers poured liquid nitrogen onto the chip every now and then to keep it cool, thus giving us the above photo opportunity. <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/visualized-asus-overclocks-intels-haswell-core-i7-to-6-88ghz/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Visualized: Intel's Haswell Core i7 overclocked to 6.88GHz on an ASUS motherboard</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/visualized-asus-overclocks-intels-haswell-core-i7-to-6-88ghz/5932678?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2013/06/asus-rog-cooling-2013-06-04-0_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/visualized-asus-overclocks-intels-haswell-core-i7-to-6-88ghz/5932681?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2013/06/asus-rog-cooling-2013-06-04-3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/visualized-asus-overclocks-intels-haswell-core-i7-to-6-88ghz/5932684?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2013/06/asus-rog-cooling-2013-06-04-6_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/visualized-asus-overclocks-intels-haswell-core-i7-to-6-88ghz/5932680?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2013/06/asus-rog-cooling-2013-06-04-2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/visualized-asus-overclocks-intels-haswell-core-i7-to-6-88ghz/5932679?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2013/06/asus-rog-cooling-2013-06-04-1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div></p>

In an effort to expand its reach, Simple Audio hopes that this multi-million dollar deal will help bring its products stateside sometime this year. While there's no word how many doubloons Corsair shelled out, the company stated that it had been eyeing Simple Audio since 2010 and felt that it was the right time to make a move. The keyboard was a little less expensive for the effort, but was nearly universally reviewed as a "really weird decision." Corsair got the message, and is now releasing the Vengeance K95, a black anodized brushed aluminum take on the K90, but with fully mechanical Cherry MX Red switches on every single key, including 18 dedicated macro toggles. In addition to normalizing the keyboard's tactile pleasures, Corsair has also upgraded its backlighting, allowing each key to individually enable or disable its illumination. Eliminating its predecessor's cheapo membrane keys <em>does</em> kill their savings, however, giving the K95 a $150 price tag.</p><p> Corsair's filling out its pointer line-up too, trotting out the M95 and M65 gaming mice. Both of these rodents feature an 8200 DPI sensor and an aluminum unibody chassis, but veer off wildly when it comes to toggles. The M95, for instance, features 15 programmable buttons and onboard storage for six switchable profiles, whereas the M65 is a more modest clicker -- featuring little more flair than a DPI dropping sniper button. Choose your weapon in a variety of colors for $79 and $69, respectively.</p><p> </p>

It's looking to cut the cord in style through its new Voyager Air. You'll have seen some of what it does with a predecessor like <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/07/09/kingston-wi-drive-wireless-storage-for-ios-review/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Kingston's Wi-Drive</a>, with media streaming to Android and iOS devices, a WiFi repeater mode and USB 3.0 support, but Corsair's drive goes the extra mile by serving as network attached storage through a gigabit Ethernet link. The 7-hour battery life when completely wireless certainly helps its prospects, at least among its immediate rivals. Corsair plans to ship the Voyager Air by early February in a 500GB version for $180 and 1TB for $220; either price sounds reasonable for a home media server that ultimately doesn't have to stay at home.</p>

The SSD sizes start from 180GB, reaching the capacious heights of 480GB, and each offers SATA 6 Gb/s connectivity. The SSDs tote a sequential read speed of up to 555 MB/s, while it tops out at 530 MB/s during writing. The 2.5-inch drives will all arrive with an adapter for 3.5-inch cubbies in tow, while you can expect to pay between $190 to $490 -- depending on your storage needs.</p>

Though read / write specs are relatively uniform across the line, barring some slight dips in speed, they dug up a few juicy morsels of info that could benefit both frugal and performance-minded shoppers. In a read intensive gaming test, the 60GB entry drive performed similarly to the 480GB behemoth. Another notable result was a 60% jump in throughput between the 120GB and 180GB models. Keen on eking out the most performance-bang for your buck? Hop over to the source for the full skinny and a bevy of charts.</p>

The results aren't clear cut and depend heavily on what you're looking for. <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Corsair/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Corsair's</a> 1,866MHz Vengeance kit and a similarly clocked G.Skill RipJaws Z set are recommended for striking good balances between low lag and raw speed, while Patriot's Viper X Division 4 is lauded for having the best value and the best stock cooling. That's not to say that Kingston's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/HyperX/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">HyperX</a> line isn't worth it for some speed demons, but the testers suggest hitting the middle of the road to get a good trade-off between speed and the cash outlay you'll need to get there.</p>

Consumers may choose between four configurations, which feature AMD processors on the low-end and Intel counterparts on the high-end. For example, the entry-level Marauder sells for $799 and offers a quad-core 3.6GHz AMD FX-4100 CPU and a Radeon HD 7750 GPU, whereas the most expensive variant sells for $1,299 and includes a quad-core 3.3GHz Intel Core i5 2500K CPU and a Radeon HD 7870 GPU. In every case, the prices rival the DIY alternative quite well, and if you'd like to take a look at the full array of configurations, just hop the break for a spec sheet and the PR.</p>

	<a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/12/19/corsairs-sandy-bridge-e-compatible-liquid-coolers-get-plumbed-i/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/12/corsair-coolers.jpg" style="border-width: 0px; border-style: solid; margin: 4px;" /></a></div>
You'd be crazy to embark on a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/14/intels-sandy-bridge-e-gets-rounded-up-and-reviewed-the-e-is-fo/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Sandy Bridge E</a> upgrade without anticipating all the costs involved. Some might argue you'd be crazy, period, but that's only because they're haters. The fact is, if you can drop a grand on an i7-3960X (or $600 for a more sensible i7-3930K), then you can probably find some spare brass for a decent liquid cooler. So, which to get? The crew at <em>HotHardware</em> just reviewed Corsair's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/lga2011?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">LGA2011-compatible</a> H80 and H100 water systems, spiced up with a look at Intel's own RTS2011LC cooler for comparison. They concluded that both Corsairs were a cinch to install and easily surpassed Intel's offering by allowing higher stable overclocks without <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/10/08/cooler-master-launches-silent-pro-hybrid-fanless-series-of-power/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">excessive decibels</a>. However, they also cautioned that the hefty $90-$120 investment in a Corsair or any other high-end liquid cooler won't necessarily yield quieter performance than an air system, because you end up with fans <em>and</em> a water pump chugging away in your rig. See the source link for the full results and then click 'More Coverage' for Bit.tech's review of the H80.

Remember that Vengeance line of gaming products that Corsair <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/09/16/corsair-vengeance-gaming-keyboards-mice-and-headsets-hands-on/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">outed</a> a few months back? We'll forgive you if not, and we'll also take this opportunity to refresh your memory while affirming that the company is shipping the bulk of 'em out just in time for the holidays. The Vengeance K60 and Vengeance K90 gaming keyboards and the Vengeance M60 and Vengeance M90 laser gaming mice and all clad in aluminum, with the K Series aimed at first-person shooter loyalists and the Ms aimed at those who just generally want to be awesome. You can catch up on the nitty-gritty just after the break, but here's the bad news: the K90, K60, M90 and M60 will go for $129, $109, $79 and $69 in order of mention. <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/corsair-ships-vengeance-k90-k60-m90-and-m60-gaming-mice-and-keyboards/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Corsair ships Vengeance K90, K60, M90 and M60 gaming mice and keyboards</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/corsair-ships-vengeance-k90-k60-m90-and-m60-gaming-mice-and-keyboards/4682685?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/12/m90viewlunlit_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/corsair-ships-vengeance-k90-k60-m90-and-m60-gaming-mice-and-keyboards/4682686?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/12/m90viewllit_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/corsair-ships-vengeance-k90-k60-m90-and-m60-gaming-mice-and-keyboards/4682687?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/12/m90viewkunlit_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/corsair-ships-vengeance-k90-k60-m90-and-m60-gaming-mice-and-keyboards/4682688?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/12/m90viewklit_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/corsair-ships-vengeance-k90-k60-m90-and-m60-gaming-mice-and-keyboards/4682689?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/12/m90viewiunlit_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div>

Notably, desktop users will be pleased to know that the drives will mount into 3.5-inch slots via an included adapter. If you're interested, $280 will snag you a 128GB version, while $530 doubles the capacity to 256GB. You'll find more details in the press release past the break.

<a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/09/09/corsair-flash-voyager-gt-survivor-get-a-usb-3-0-boost/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/09/2011-09-09-survivorregangle2.jpg" style="border-width: 0px; border-style: solid; margin: 4px;" /></a><br />
Call us jaded, but most USB flash drives just don't get the juices flowing like a new <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/tablet/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">tablet</a> or <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/smartphone/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">smartphone</a>. Nonetheless, they've become a critical component of many a workflow, and for a device where speed is key, a USB 3.0 boost is certainly welcome. And Corsair did just that with its Flash Voyager, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/03/corsairs-128gb-flash-voyager-gtr-thumb-drive-takes-usb-2-0-to-n/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Flash Voyager GT</a>, and "adventure-proof" <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/24/corsair-flash-survivor-gtr-keeps-up-enduring-tradition-of-rugged/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Flash Survivor</a> lines. The entry level Voyagers ship in 8GB ($17) and 16GB ($24) capacities, while the premium model offers 32GB and 64GB of storage, for $59 and $129, respectively. 8GB ($28) and 16GB ($35) drives in the ruggedized Survivor series are constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum and are water-proof all the way down to 200 meters -- that algae-covered Survivor you found 650 feet down at the bottom of the ocean floor? Yup, it probably still works. The new drives are shipping now, and you can find the full scoop from Corsair just past the break.

<div>
	Been thinking <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Corsair?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Corsair's</a> Force SSD lineup was too small at 60GB, but too darn capacious at 120GB? Well Goldilocks, we've got good news, as the company's unveiled two middling models that might be just right. We begin with the 90GB <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/16/corsair-force-series-3-ssds-sandforce-speed-for-modest-money/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Force 3</a>, which wields 550MB/s reads and 500MB/s writes at a $159 price point. For an additional $40, you can bump speeds up by 5MB/s on both counts with the identically sized <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/07/05/corsairs-speedy-flaming-red-force-gt-ssd-goes-on-sale-this-mon/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Force GT</a>. Just like their smaller <em>and</em> larger brethren, the two additions tote SandForce SF-228x controllers as they haul bits over SATA 6Gbps. They're supposedly available "immediately," but, like <em>AnandTech</em>, we couldn't find either in stock. If middle of the road is your thing, then Godspeed, but we'll stick with the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/03/04/behold-corsairs-force-gt-ssd-flaming-red-shell-and-500-mb-s/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">big one</a>.</div>

Another season, another <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/SSD/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">SSD</a> roundup. This go 'round, its a six-pack of SATA III units -- the speediest of the speedy -- all angling for your hard-earned greenbacks. The benchmarking gurus over at <i>Hot Hardware</i> have assembled quite the guide for those currently in the market, hosting up a variety of top-tier drives from the likes of OCZ Technology, Patriot, Crucial and Corsair. We'll leave the nitty-gritty for you to discover, but those hungry for spoilers will be elated to know that the SandForce-built OCZ Vertex 3 Max IOPS, Corsair Force GT and Patriot Wildfire proved to be the best performers in terms of transfer rates. That said, the whole lot managed to impress, and while the average user isn't apt to feel the real-world differences among them, there's a safe bet you aren't in that "average" crowd. Cliff's Notes? The Crucial M4 was deemed superior in terms of value, while the Vertex 3 Max IOPS and Wildfire just about tied for sheer speed.

	Corsair's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/03/04/behold-corsairs-force-gt-ssd-flaming-red-shell-and-500-mb-s/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Force GT</a> solid-state drives caught our eye earlier this year, and their fire engine-red shells were only half the reason. These bad boys also promise up to 85,000 random write IOPS and are rated for impressive read / write speeds of 550 MBps and 525 MBps -- a shade higher than the specs being bandied-about when Corsair showed it off back in March. The drive also supports SATA 3, is backward-compatible with SATA 2, and ships with a 3.5-inch adapter that'll work with both desktops and laptops. Look for it this month in two sizes: 60GB ($149) and 120GB ($279). No word, alas, on the 240GB version that was strutting its stuff on the show floor in <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/cebit+2011?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Hanover, Germany</a>. Living amongst us right now, on our street, metro carriage, or section of highway, there are people who have recently bought a Corsair 120GB Force Series 3 with product code CSSD-F120GB3-BK. If you're one of them you need to know that this particular drive is subject to a recall due to "stability issues". <em>Sweclockers</em> has reported rumors that other SSDs might also be affected, but the manufacturers in question have swiftly denied it -- so it is only this very specific Corsair drive that is being recalled. Backup your data and hit the source link for further instructions. Don't get mad, get a replacement.

<a href="http://www.engadget.com/all/corsair?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Corsair</a> is sending out another raiding party into <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/01/corsair-sails-into-gaming-headset-waters-with-noise-isolating-hs/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">gaming audio</a> waters today with the introduction of its very first set of speakers, the SP2500. Priced at $249 and boasting 232 watts of floor-shaking power, this jumbo 2.1 package is an unabashed play for PC gamers' hearts. We've spent some quality time with the SP2500s hooked up to our own desktop and can tell you that the company's boasts about these speakers' full volume range being usable is no lie. They're basically designed to be loud ... really, really loud. Check out the gallery to see just how massive they are and hop, skip, jump, or leap past the break for our fuller impressions. Spoiler: we'll be discussing loudness a lot.<br />
<br />
Additionally, lest your wallet's not padded enough or your aural needs not quite so extreme, today sees the debut of Corsair's more modest SP2200 2.1 set for $99 alongside the introduction of an HS1A gaming headset, the latter being an almost carbon copy of the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/12/corsairs-ear-straddling-hs1-earns-high-marks-in-early-reviews/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">well received</a> HS1 from last year, save for the replacement of the USB connector with a more conventional analog one.<br />
