After what we're guessing was a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/11/23/razers-tron-gaming-mouse-now-available-for-100/">fruitful tie-up</a> with Tron, the fine folks at Razer are back at a similar well; this time, the company's dishing out a limited run of gear that's been splashed with color and branding from the upcoming Michael Bay <strike>train wreck</strike> blockbuster, Transformers 3. Outside of being doused with red, yellow, silver and purple paint, the special edition DeathAdder mice ($69.99 a pop) are identical to the version <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/28/razer-trots-out-mildly-overhauled-deathadder-black-edition-usb/">already on the market</a>. If that's just not enough, there's also a dual-sided Vespula mouse mat ($44.99) to commemorate the film, not to mention a foursome of colored laptop sleeves ($49.99 each) that'll make public your infatuation. Curiously absent? A handwritten letter of congratulations from Shia LaBeouf.<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/06/29/razer-trots-out-transformers-3-edition-deathadder-vespula-and-l/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Razer trots out Transformers 3 Edition DeathAdder, Vespula and laptop case</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/06/29/razer-trots-out-transformers-3-edition-deathadder-vespula-and-l/">Razer trots out Transformers 3 Edition DeathAdder, Vespula and laptop case</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Wed, 29 Jun 2011 04:31:00 EST. <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/kirf">KIRFing</a> isn't just for cellphones, friends. Anything with good design is in danger of being knocked off, and Razer sent word that it too has fallen victim. Meet the Imouse MI-092, a peripheral that couldn't look any more like the Razer <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/deathadder">DeathAdder</a> if it came in a DeathAdder box -- which it pretty much does, as the company copied the packaging design, too. Imouse even ripped off the Razer website, but did at least come up with its own charming slogan, which translates to "Mine, I'm the boss." Sadly, not even Tony Danza can get any respect from these guys. <p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/12/keepin-it-real-fake-imouse-mi-092-is-one-dull-razer-ripoff/">Keepin' it real fake: Imouse MI-092 is one dull Razer ripoff</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 12 Aug 2010 10:13:00 EST. Say it with us, southpaws: "finally!" <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Razer/">Razer</a> is finally taking a stand for the under-appreciated (and vastly underserved) left-hand gamer market, and while we would've given these guys even more credit for developing an all-new mouse for lefties, we'll take a redesigned <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/DeathAdder/">DeathAdder</a> any day of the week. In essence, the DeathAdder Left Hand Edition is the exact same mouse that <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/09/24/razer-refreshed-deathadder-gaming-mouse-is-more-accurate-still/">debuted last September</a>, but in left hand form. The best part? Razer's not charging a dime more for this version than the obviously more viable right handed model. Hey, guitar makers -- care to take a hint?<br />

Zanily enough, nearly <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/19/razers-deathadder-gaming-mouse-reviewed/">three full years have passed</a> since Razer first introduced what would eventually become one of its best-selling gaming mice, so it goes without saying that the aging <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2006/12/01/razers-deathadder-gaming-mouse/">DeathAdder</a> was due for an update. For those looking for a clean cut, straight-up gaming mouse to use between the hours of 10PM and 5:30AM, this revamped critter might just fit the bill. The biggest change is the inclusion of a 3.5G 3500dpi infrared sensor and a tangle-free braided cable, and fans of the existing design will greatly appreciate the fact that it's essentially the same (externally, of course). It's still not ambidextrous in nature (sorry, lefties), but you will find on-the-fly sensitivity adjustments, five independently programmable buttons and all the blue glow your retinas can handle. It should be available to order momentarily for $59.99 (US) / &euro;59.99 (Europe).<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/razer-refreshed-deathadder-gaming-mouse-is-more-accurate-still-hates-southpaws/">Razer refreshed DeathAdder gaming mouse is more accurate, still hates southpaws</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/razer-refreshed-deathadder-gaming-mouse-is-more-accurate-still-hates-southpaws/#2315021"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/09/deathadder-3500_6_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/razer-refreshed-deathadder-gaming-mouse-is-more-accurate-still-hates-southpaws/#2315020"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/09/deathadder-3500_5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/razer-refreshed-deathadder-gaming-mouse-is-more-accurate-still-hates-southpaws/#2315019"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/09/deathadder-3500_4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/razer-refreshed-deathadder-gaming-mouse-is-more-accurate-still-hates-southpaws/#2315018"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/09/deathadder-3500_3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/razer-refreshed-deathadder-gaming-mouse-is-more-accurate-still-hates-southpaws/#2315017"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/09/deathadder-3500_2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />

They took the sinisterly-named peripheral for a spin, all the while pitting it against their previous fav, the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2005/08/11/logitech-g5-gaming-mouse-reviewed/">Logitech G5</a>. Well after some grueling rounds in the pits, the DeathAdder eked out a tie with the champ, garnering a 10/10 rating and the lofty distinction of being one of the best mice they have ever used; Team ExTech loved everything about the slithery rodent, from the feel of the rubberized shell to the perfectly placed thumb buttons to the fully customizable drivers. So based on the review, it seems that any gamer even remotely serious about their ranking should be considering, if not knocking down the doors to add this glowing glory to their arsenal -- if they can deal with "only" five buttons, that is.<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gaming/" rel="tag">Gaming</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/peripherals/" rel="tag">Peripherals</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/19/razers-deathadder-gaming-mouse-reviewed/">Razer's DeathAdder gaming mouse reviewed</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 19 Jan 2007 07:03:00 EST. While we're slightly uncomfortable with the idea of wrapping our hands around something called a "death adder" on a day-to-day basis, peripheral-maker <a href="http://www.engadget.com/search/?q=razer">Razer</a> seems to think there's enough gamers in touch with their dark sides to make its latest corded mouse a hit. Helping the DeathAdder earn its sinister moniker is the so-called 3G infrared sensor at the heart of the mouse, boasting an impressive 1800 dpi resolution, as well as Razer's trademark 1000 Hz "Ultrapolling" technology and a barely there 1ms response time. To keep all that precision under control, Razer's outfitted the mouse with rubber-coated buttons up top and some smooth-sliding Teflon feet on the underside -- lefties, however, are out of luck, as this one's tailor made for right-handed use. Look for the DeathAdder to hit just in time for the holidays at a not-unreasonable price of $59.99.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.randomlyaccessed.com/bleedingedge/news.php?action=fullnews&amp;id=14">Randomly Accessed</a>, thanks, Steve]<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gaming/" rel="tag">Gaming</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/peripherals/" rel="tag">Peripherals</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2006/12/01/razers-deathadder-gaming-mouse/">Razer's DeathAdder gaming mouse</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 01 Dec 2006 14:46:00 EST.
