DC Universe Online fans who've long wanted Legends PvE learned at SOE Live that the feature was finally on its way to the game. And now patience is about to pay off! Legends PvE is launching with GU43, along with plenty of other goodies like new underwater bases and a new legends character. There's even something for the PvPers: revamped arena award rules. Executive Producer Larry Liberty and Creative Director Jens Andersen recently led a media tour of this upcoming content, showcasing Deathstroke in all his Legends glory along with sharing a few other tidbits of news (like the release window for Amazon Fury Part II). As Liberty put it, "Game Update 43 wound up becoming quite a bit bigger than we initially anticipated."

After being conspicuously absent from the original announcement's press release, confirmation of Deathstroke's playable presence in the Wii U version of Batman: Arkham Origins comes to us from the land down under. Warner Bros. has affirmed in a statement to Aussie Gamer that the pre-order DLC found in other versions, which also bundles extra maps and costumes, is also included on the Wii U, as made evident by the above advertisement. Also made evident: Batman is going to need a new cowl.

A leaked pre-order image tipped us off yesterday and the press release past the break confirms it: Deathstroke is a playable character in Batman Arkham Origins. He'll be unlocked in the game's challenge mode, and all who plunk down cash early will enjoy some exclusive maps and character skins associated with him. Deathstroke is seemingly a leading man in the video game world now, with Batman: Arkham Origins his second role of the year after Injustice: Gods Among Us in April. His real name is Slade Wilson, a mercenary and assassin created by teenage cartoonist Gary Wilson in 1980.

A Batman: Arkham Origins pre-order image on Amazon offers Deathstroke as a playable character via DLC. Check it out in a rolling image header here. Batman and Deathstroke went head-to-head in last week's teaser video, but there was no word on how the striker of mortality would be incorporated into Arkham Origins. This could be a Catwoman in Arkham City situation, where she got an entire spin-off campaign, or it might be something entirely new. One aspect of Arkham Origins is confirmed today – Kevin Conroy will return as a voice actor.

Just as Mortal Kombat did before it, Injustice: Gods Among Us will employ the increasingly popular Season Pass monetization model convenience option for the game's inevitable character DLC. Who those characters actually are, of course, remains a mystery, though we do know that there will be four of them. The pass costs $14.99/1200 MS Points and includes four characters for "the price of three," according to the press release, which means we can safely infer that Injustice's character DLC will cost $4.99/400 MS Points a pop when purchased individually. You may begin theorizing over the identities of the above silhouettes at the sound of the beep.Three bonus costumes are also included, based on Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Deathstroke's alternate timeline personas from the plot arch that lead to the New 52 relaunch in 2011, "Flashpoint." For the uninitiated, Flashpoint is known as being the small splinter of the DC universe where Wonder Woman actually wore some damn clothes that made sense for a conquering warrior princess.Update: As a small aside, Harley Quinn's story trailer has been tucked away after the break. We'll keep this description brief in case anyone is avoiding such things because spoilers, but let's just say that the Joker is involved. Right? We couldn't believe it either.

  • Deathstroke carves himself into the Injustice: Gods Among Us roster

Slade Wilson is a mercenary and assassin (and hater of teenagers) in the DC Comics world known as Deathstroke – and now he's the latest brawler to throw down in NetherRealm's Injustice: Gods Among Us. Keen observers will remember he also made an appearance in Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe.Deathstroke likes guns and has a steel sword for close-quarter combos, evidenced in the video above. Plus, he's kinda got this whole Two-Face thing going on with his mask, but we're sure Batman accidentally punched him like eight times so he must know already.
