The brothers Carter have reunited, and it must feel good. Former Lionhead staffers Dene and Simon Carter have made good on their promise to form a new UK-based studio, aptly calling the venture Another Place Productions, according to Gamasutra. The pair were key players in the development of the Fable franchise, and bring with them a number of other essential players from that team.Former art director John McCormack, technical director Guillaume Portes, and executive producer Jeremie Texier have all stepped away from their former home at Lionhead to join Another Place.Simon Carter left his position last year, after co-founding the Lionhead satellite studio, Big Blue Box, which was responsible for the Fable series. Eventually, all satellite studios were absorbed into Lionhead as one complete entity, which is owned by Microsoft. At the time of his departure, Carter said he hoped to work on games for digital platforms like XBLA, PSN, Steam, and mobile titles, but it's unclear what Another Place will work on first. It's unclear how their departure will affect development of the upcoming Kinect-specific title Fable: The Journey, which is scheduled to launch at some point this year, which we're hoping works out better than Fable 3 did.

Fable 2's tale is almost ready to be told and IGN has put together a video introducing a few of the NPCs players will find in the game. The site also speaks with Dene Carter, creative director for Fable 2, who says that the characters introduced in this video don't affect the main storyline, but interacting with them will function as "morality signposts." We're still just excited about having a dog.%Gallery-4807%

Loinhead has a new interview up with Dene Carter, Fable 2's creative director, in which he answers some of the hard-hitting questions on the minds of Fable fans. Questions like:"So does that mean nudity?" "Sorry?""Nudity?""Oooh, ah, that's a very good question. Well if you remove all your clothes your hero will, again, be dressed in underwear. Even the female heroes."Thankfully, they go on to cover some new ground that hadn't been covered in the previous Molyneux interview, namely how the game is accessible to all players and skill levels, how the quest system has been cleared up and simplified, and how big the game world is. They've decided to make the game as simple as possible by eliminating things like contextual menus, and it isn't aimed at hardcore gamers. When asked about the dog, they said the model will be changing to a more Brotherhood of the Wolf model. before, they'd been looking at Labyrinth and other Jim Henson-based models before moving on. What's ironic is the Jim Henson's Creature Shop created and designed the wolf in Brotherhood of the Wolf, but c'mon ... we're just being picky.Check out the video interview after the jump, just prepare yourself for no nudity.
