Until now, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/milestone">Milestone</a> owners could do nothing but to envy <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/droid">Droid</a> users rocking the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/11/motorola-droid-android-2-2-froyo-ota-updates-are-go/">Froyo upgrade</a>; however, according to <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/motorola">Motorola's</a> recently published timeline, the former device is now slated for the same dessert party in Europe and Korea in Q4 -- specifically, "beginning at the end of this year," which could well mean the majority of users won't get the update until 2011 (!). Meanwhile, said upgrade is still "under evaluation" for Canada, Latin America, Mexico and Asia-Pacific sans Korea.<br />
<br />
But here's the real heartbreaking news from the same chart: unlike their American counterparts, the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/dext%2Cmotorola">Dext</a> and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/backflip">Backflip</a> will <em>not</em> be getting an <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/eclair">Eclair</a> update in Europe, Latin American and Mexico, while Canada and Asia-Pacific still have a glimpse of hope. Sure, it's not like Motorola's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/15/motorola-publishes-schedule-of-android-upgrades-for-its-handsets/">earlier timeline</a> laid any concrete details for the European Dext, but there was definitely a date for the Latin America flavor. What concerns us the most is that back in January, Motorola did make a promise -- which has since been deleted but forever cached by Google -- to its European fans on Facebook: "[the] Dext will get the Android 2.1 upgrade as well." We have the full shameful statement after the break.<br />
<br />
In case you still care, other devices mentioned in the timeline include the US-only <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/devour">Devour</a> (no 2.1 update), <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/cliq+xt">Cliq XT</a> / <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/quench">Quench</a> (2.1 in late Q3 / early Q4; under evaluation for Canada and Asia-Pacific), <a href="http://www.engadget.com/product/droid-x">Droid X</a> (Froyo upgrade in late summer, which we <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/05/droid-x-update-to-android-2-2-coming-by-early-september/">knew</a>), <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/motoroi">Motoroi</a> and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/titanium,motorola">Titanium</a> (2.2 in Q4 in Korea for both). If you're still mourning over the canned update for your Dext, let us remind you that there's no stopping you from updating your Android slider <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/07/22/motorola-cliq-dext-gets-leaked-android-2-1-update-not-pinch-t/">manually</a>; alternatively, there's no harm in sending <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Sanjay+Jha">Sanjay</a> a nice postcard, either.<br />

The <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Droid/">Droid</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/DroidEris/">Droid Eris</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Devour/">Devour</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/DroidIncredlble/">Droid Incredible</a>, and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Ally/">Ally</a> are all equipped to take advantage of the app, which claims to offer over 230 full-length shows spanning over 40 programming providers -- but the downside is that it'll cost you $10 a month on top of your data plan, the same that V CAST Video On Demand runs on Verizon's other phones. If you're willing to take the plunge, look for it in the Market right away.<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/07/verizons-v-cast-video-for-android-now-available-runs-10-a-mon/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Verizon's V CAST Video for Android now available, runs $10 a month</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/07/verizons-v-cast-video-for-android-now-available-runs-10-a-mon/">Verizon's V CAST Video for Android now available, runs $10 a month</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Mon, 07 Jun 2010 08:00:00 EST. Alright, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Devour/">Devour</a> users, we know the very first thing you want to know is whether this is <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Android21/">Android 2.1</a> we're dealing with here -- and sadly, the answer to that is a forlorn "no." That said, it looks like this update is going to tidy up a whole bunch of stuff for you with improved call performance, better UI response time, stability enhancements, a handful of minor email tweaks, better audio over headsets, and updated Google apps. As usual, Verizon and Motorola are rolling out this OTA in phases, so if you haven't gotten it yet, just hang tight and see what the Firmware Fairy brings you over the next few days.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/21/motorola-devour-graced-with-update-bug-fixes-are-the-main-story/">Motorola Devour graced with update, bug fixes are the main story</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Wed, 21 Apr 2010 18:44:00 EST. Motorola's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/09/motorola-devour-review/">Devour</a> has somehow managed to get a little lost in the mix, primarily due to the wealth of <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Android/">Android</a> options on America's two main CDMA carriers right now. The design is certainly appealing, particularly to those still averse to virtual keyboards, but it's the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Blur/">Blur</a> user interface that really sets this apart from the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Droid/">Droid</a>. Of course, we didn't exactly find a whole lot to love about the total package (compared to the other Android options, anyway), but that's not to say there's nothing to discuss. On the contrary, actually. Did you plop down a crisp Benjamin to get yourself a Devour? Are you still happy with the decision? How's Blur been treating you? Would you retool any of the hardware / software aspects? Get honest down in comments below, and yes, feel free to consider this the group therapy you've thus far refused to pay good money for.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/16/how-would-you-change-motorolas-devour/">How would you change Motorola's Devour?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 16 Apr 2010 22:23:00 EST. If the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/droid">Droid's</a> a little too much phone for you, you like the color silver, or you're just a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/blur,motorola">Blur</a> kind of guy, we've got a fantastic reminder for you: Motorola's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Devour/">Devour</a> for Verizon is available today. Previously a Best Buy exclusive, the phone is hitting the carrier's stores for $149.99 after a $100 rebate on a new two-year contract, but what's interesting is that the rebate is of the mail-in variety if you don't buy it online -- in other words, it's $50 cheaper to buy a Droid online today than it is to buy a Devour in-store. So yeah, basically, you'd better be <em>really</em> sure this is the phone you're looking for -- and don't forget, you're giving up the Droid's glorious 854 x 480 display to get in on this. No pressure!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/25/motorola-devour-available-on-verizon-today-for-149-99/">Motorola Devour available on Verizon today for $149.99</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 25 Mar 2010 11:02:00 EST. We <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/16/verizon-to-allow-unlimited-skype-calling-over-3g-starting-next-m/">knew it was coming</a>, and now we have a concrete date. Starting this Thursday, March 25th, Verizon Wireless customers with one of nine select smartphones (Motorola Droid and Devour, HTC Droid Eris, various BlackBerrys) and data plan will be able to use <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Skype/">Skype</a> over the 3G network. As we heard before, Skype-to-Skype calls will not affect your VZW minutes, and now you've got the option to use the app for cheaper international dialing using the mobile app. Full list of compatible devices after the break, a list we're hoping gets expanded in the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/18/verizons-incredible-new-phone-may-be-in-stores-within-two-week/">not-so-distant future</a>.<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/23/skype-mobile-heading-to-verizon-smartphones-on-march-25th/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Skype mobile heading to Verizon smartphones on March 25th</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/23/skype-mobile-heading-to-verizon-smartphones-on-march-25th/">Skype mobile heading to Verizon smartphones on March 25th</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 23 Mar 2010 15:40:00 EST. While Motorola's vanilla-Android <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Droid/">Droid</a> has become the most recognizable Android device on the market -- thanks in part to a bombastic ad campaign -- Motorola's primary focus has been on its own custom Blur UI. At least, if quantity of devices are any indication. Hitting Verizon just as the Blur-powered <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Backflip/">Backflip</a> heads to AT&amp;T, the new <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/devour">Motorola Devour</a> is an odd cross section of the "consumery" Backflip and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Cliq/">Cliq</a>, and the high-end Droid slider. We've been playing with the phone for a week or so (you can find our initial hands-on, video walkthrough and unboxing <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/22/motorola-devour-goes-hands-on-hits-best-buy-for-150-this-week/">here</a>), so follow us after the break as we walk through the triumphs and tragedy that is this device. <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-devour-goes-hands-on/">Motorola Devour goes hands-on</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-devour-goes-hands-on/#2732249"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/02/moto-devour-01-hands_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-devour-goes-hands-on/#2732248"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/02/moto-devour-02-hands_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-devour-goes-hands-on/#2732247"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/02/moto-devour-03-hands_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-devour-goes-hands-on/#2732245"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/02/moto-devour-04-hands_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-devour-goes-hands-on/#2732244"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/02/moto-devour-05-hands_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/09/motorola-devour-review/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Motorola Devour review</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/09/motorola-devour-review/">Motorola Devour review</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 09 Mar 2010 13:13:00 EST. We've got Motorola's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/devour">latest Blur handset</a> in hand, Devour-ing ill-advised puns like it's a full time job. You can check out this aluminum slider in all its consumer-friendly glory in the gallery below, see it sized up against big brother Droid right below that, and there are some initial impressions and a video walkthrough after the break. <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-devour-goes-hands-on/">Motorola Devour goes hands-on</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-devour-goes-hands-on/#2732249"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/02/moto-devour-01-hands_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-devour-goes-hands-on/#2732248"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/02/moto-devour-02-hands_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-devour-goes-hands-on/#2732247"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/02/moto-devour-03-hands_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-devour-goes-hands-on/#2732245"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/02/moto-devour-04-hands_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-devour-goes-hands-on/#2732244"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/02/moto-devour-05-hands_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-droid-faces-off-with-devour/">Motorola Droid faces off with Devour</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-droid-faces-off-with-devour/#2732737"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/02/moto-devour-vs-droid-01-hands_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-droid-faces-off-with-devour/#2732736"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/02/moto-devour-vs-droid-02-hands_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-droid-faces-off-with-devour/#2732735"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/02/moto-devour-vs-droid-03-hands_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-droid-faces-off-with-devour/#2732734"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/02/moto-devour-vs-droid-04-hands_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-droid-faces-off-with-devour/#2732733"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/02/moto-devour-vs-droid-05-hands_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/22/motorola-devour-goes-hands-on-hits-best-buy-for-150-this-week/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Motorola Devour goes hands-on, hits Best Buy for $99 this week (update: video!)</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/22/motorola-devour-goes-hands-on-hits-best-buy-for-150-this-week/">Motorola Devour goes hands-on, hits Best Buy for $99 this week (update: video!)</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Mon, 22 Feb 2010 16:19:00 EST. We're only a few breathless days away from the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/03/motorola-devour-officially-coming-to-verizon-next-month/">Devour</a> hitting <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/12/motorola-devour-launching-somewhere-on-february-25th-everywhere/"><em>some</em> retail locations</a> ahead of nationwide US availability in March, so what better way to fill that gap than with an official teaser video? Moto's Rick Osterloh is our tour guide in a seven minute hands-on demo of the device, which takes us through the major attractions on offer. He firstly calls out the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/04/motorola-devour-has-flash-support-makes-pixi-look-like-an-under/">Qualcomm CPU inside</a> and points to the phone's responsiveness, which is (quite naturally) followed by a couple of instances of perceptible lag between his input and the phone's reaction. All the same, it does look like a sprightly little machine, and the inclusion of <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/blur">Blur</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/google+maps+navigation">Google Maps Navigation</a> with turn-by-turn voice instructions, and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/10/06/motorola-phone-portal-enables-wifi-pc-to-phone-connection-brows/">Moto Phone Portal</a> makes for a compelling software package. Head past the break to see them in action and to catch <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/19/motorola-devour-in-the-wild-once-again/">another eyeful</a> of the hardware as well.<br />

We've already seen the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/devour">Motorola Devour</a> <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/03/motorola-devour-spotted-in-the-wild-sized-up-against-a-nexus-on/">in the wild</a> once, but with the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/12/motorola-devour-launching-somewhere-on-february-25th-everywhere/">official Verizon launch</a> right around the corner and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/16/best-buy-kicks-of-motorola-devour-pre-sale-no-rebate-required/">pre-sales underway</a>, it looks like at least one more unit has made it out into the world. Great -- but we'd like a video of this thing and its mid-range processor <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/04/motorola-devour-has-flash-support-makes-pixi-look-like-an-under/">running Flash</a>, please.<br />

You've just<em> got</em> to love the slow trickle of information about your next <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/smartphone/">smartphone</a>, right? Just days after hearing that Best Buy would <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/16/best-buy-kicks-of-motorola-devour-pre-sale-no-rebate-required/">gladly accept your pre-order</a> on Motorola's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/devour">Devour</a> (without actually telling you the final price, comically enough), this leaked flyer has flown into our inbox to clear up the mystery. Unless we've got some seriously awesome Photoshop work going on here, it seems as if the Flash supporting handset will sell for $149.99 on a 2-year Verizon contract, and of course, that's sans mail-in rebate if you snag one from the Big Yellow Tag. Not bad given the specs, wouldn't you say?<br />
<br />
<strong>Update</strong>: Looks like a case (shown after the break) has popped up as well. Thanks, H.R.!<br />

The only catch is that you'll have to buy a $50 Best Buy gift card to hold your spot for the phone, but the good news is that you won't have to deal with any of those pesky mail-in rebates -- just a simple instant discount at the check-out. Eager to get your mitts on the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/03/motorola-devour-officially-coming-to-verizon-next-month/">first Motoblur-enabled phone</a> to land on Verizon? Sorry bronco, it ain't happening today. Or tomorrow. Or next week. According to the leaked flyer above, however, the impatient among us should be able to secure a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Devour/">Devour</a> on the 25th of this month. After it filters out through those "indirect channels," the phone will make its way into all VZW channels on March 15th, though it's still anyone's guess as to a price. Speaking of guesses -- got any insight you'd like to share in comments?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/12/motorola-devour-launching-somewhere-on-february-25th-everywhere/">Motorola Devour launching somewhere on February 25th, everywhere on March 15th</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 12 Feb 2010 01:24:00 EST. That's pretty cool -- it gives the Devour one small leg up on its <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Droid/">Droid</a> big brother and matches capabilities that HTC has rolled out in the past on the <a href="http://engadget.com/tag/htc,hero">Hero</a>, but what's more interesting is that the Devour allegedly uses the same next-gen low-cost smartphone processor from Qualcomm, the MSM7627, as the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Pixi/">Pixi</a>. Palm has elected not to roll out the Pre's upcoming Flash support to the Pixi on account of its lower-end specs, which begs the question: is Android's Flash Lite 3.1 player significantly more efficient than webOS' Flash 10.1 player, does the Devour have more horsepower packed in there than it's letting on, or does Palm just have higher performance standards for annoying ads than Moto does?<br />

While just recently <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/03/motorola-devour-officially-coming-to-verizon-next-month/">made official</a>, there have been plenty of Motorola Devour leaks over the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/12/18/verizon-getting-palm-pre-plus-and-android-powered-motorola-devou/">years</a> (er, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/01/motorola-devour-for-verizon-gets-boxed-shares-pixis-processor/">months</a>) to keep us occupied. This latest one has the aluminum colored phone sized up in bokeh-filled and yet surprisingly small, compressed and grainy shots -- as if Mr. Blurrycam is holding up a nice, low aperture DSLR lens to his RAZR's sensor. Oh well, it's the thought that counts. What's particularly helpful here is this comparison shot with the Nexus One, which shows the Devour to be a good bit larger, despite its significantly smaller screen size. Size isn't everything, of course.<br />

And just like that, it's official. Verizon Wireless has today announced that <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Motorola/">Motorola</a>'s scrumptiously named <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/DEVOUR">Devour</a> will be heading to its network next month, with it being the first VZW phone to feature Motoblur. Not that we're seeing any surprises here, but a quick specification run down draws our attention to a 3.1-inch capacitive touchscreen, a touch-sensitive navigation pad, a pre-installed 8GB microSD card and Bluetooth support. Unfortunately, there's no apparent mention of multitouch -- and we wouldn't expect it out of the box, since the Devour runs Android 1.6 -- but we're crossing our fingers (and toes, for that matter) for Google to sling that <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/02/nexus-one-gets-a-software-update-enables-multitouch/">delightful Nexus One update</a> to the rest of its high-powered Android phones in the very near future. There's nary a mention of an asking price, but we'll be sure to keep an eye out as launch day approaches.<br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-devour/">Motorola Devour</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-devour/#2674975"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/02/motorola-devour1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-devour/#2674976"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/02/motorola-devour2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/motorola-devour/#2674977"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/02/motorola-devour3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/03/motorola-devour-officially-coming-to-verizon-next-month/">Motorola Devour officially coming to Verizon next month</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Wed, 03 Feb 2010 09:56:00 EST. Motorola's so-called <a href="http://mobile.engadget.com/tag/calgary,motorola">Calgary</a> has found itself on a lengthy, fascinating journey from rumor to retail -- a journey that began <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/12/16/motorola-apparently-planning-another-year-of-existence-with-clai/">way back in 2008</a>. Finally, here we are a whole bunch of months later, the high-end <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Droid/">Droid</a> having been released back in November and Verizon still without a midrange choice for Android hopefuls -- but that's about to change. Right, Verizon? <em>Right?</em> The latest intel from <em>Android and Me</em> suggests that the Devour (as it'll almost certainly be known to the public) will feature a Qualcomm MSM7627 -- the same next-gen entry-level core being used by the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Pixi/">Pixi</a> that's designed to replace the aging MSM7600 series, very likely a chip that we're going to be seeing a whole lot of over the next 12-18 months in devices that manufacturers don't deem worthy of <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Snapdragon/">Snapdragon</a>. Meanwhile, <em>Android Central</em> seems to have scored a shot of some promotional material for the Devour suggesting that it's not far off -- the site says we're looking at a retail box here, but considering how small and narrow the Droid's box is, this could actually be some in-store signage or something to that effect. We'll know soon enough, hopefully.<br />

<strong>Update:</strong> And look at this, Motorola's <a href="https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/40963">support documents</a> for the Devour are now live (we count 10 pages' worth, total). Not too much interesting in here, but we can confirm that the name will be Devour, it's <a href="https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/40875/p/30%2C6720%2C7301/access_id/37%2C1/page/4/r_id/138858">got WiFi</a>, and <a href="https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/40923/p/30%2C6720%2C7301/access_id/37%2C1/page/7/r_id/138858">there'll be a car kit available</a>. We're still not totally clear on how exactly Verizon intends to enter (or rather, re-enter) the Palm stage in 2010; we know there's definitely a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/12/13/palm-pixi-clears-fcc-with-verizon-frequencies-and-wifi-in-tow/">WiFi-equipped CDMA Pixi</a> out there that'll likely find its way into Big Red's clutches, but otherwise, we really need to wait for this <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/12/15/palm-invites-us-to-see-and-hear-whats-new-at-ces-2010/">event</a> at CES next month. Well, maybe -- we've got another little clue here in the form of some tips to <em>PhoneArena</em> stating that a "Pre Plus" has found its way into the carrier's systems, which fits in nicely with info we'd previously received from one of our trusted sources that Verizon's Pre would be somehow "different" from Sprint's though we don't yet know how. As far as we can tell, this isn't the same as that WiFi Pixi (wouldn't it be confusing if it was?), so we should probably expect at least two webOS models on Verizon over the next few months. In other news, that Motorola <a href="http://mobile.engadget.com/2009/10/20/motorola-calgary-to-bring-blur-to-verizon-droid-not-looking-w/">Calgary</a> (pictured) appears to be shaping up as the "Devour" with a 3 megapixel cam and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Blur/">Blur</a> running on Android 2.1 -- yes, 2.1, not 1.5, which should give hope to <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/CLIQ/">CLIQ</a> owners that an update is probably in the works. Finally, there's talk of an LG VS750 in a mega-thin form factor running WinMo 6.5 with global roaming capability, but we don't have a picture of that one just yet. Anyhow, back to the Pre Plus, we're accepting all guesses as to what the "Plus" in the name might stand for -- 16GB of integrated storage or a microSD slot seem like obvious candidates, but feel free to get creative with us.<br />
