The latest Dojo update seems to be an exercise in masochism; Diddy's wooden pea(nut) shooter is pretty cool and all, but you'd better be careful with it. Otherwise, you'll do a lot worse than shoot your eye out. Lesson: slow and steady wins the shooting race.In case you hadn't guessed, it's Diddy Kong all the way today, and the Dojo has offered up a look at his special moves, which include eating the occasional peanut from his gun. Hey, peanuts are nutritious and delicious! Also, they restore a little health, which is generally a good thing when getting your smash on. If peanut guns aren't your style, not to fret ... there's also a rocket jet pack attachment.%Gallery-6869%

If you've ever wanted to physically assault Donkey Kong's diminutive and overly cheery pal, Diddy Kong, you'd best make plans to purchase Super Smash Bros. Brawl on December 3rd. Smash Bros. DOJO!! (it's them shouting, not us) has revealed that the pesky primate will be part of the growing list of combatants and plans to get by with his "whimsical fighting moves" and "Peanut Pop Gun." We look forward to knocking off that cap and wiping the smile off his face -- it'll certainly put one on ours. Alright Nintendo, let's get Tingle in here next.[Thanks, Drew]

  • Rare on Banjo VC: "It's possible"

In a response to a young Rare fan's letter posted in their Scribes column, Rare discussed the possibility of some of their franchises coming over to the Virtual Console. The Donkey Kong Country sequels are likely, because Donkey Kong is a Nintendo-owned property. But games starring Diddy Kong, the Rare-created pal of DK, are not as clear-cut.The main focus of the letter was Banjo-Kazooie, which is a Rare-owned property. The Rare "scribe" diplomatically said that "it's possible" for Banjo games to appear either on the VC or on the Xbox 360 Live Arcade. Our advice? Don't wait for any N64 games to come to VC, because they are slow in arriving.[Via Play-Nintendo]
