We looked for something unrelated to Halo for our video pick, but eventually just learned to stop worrying and love the bomb. This Spike TV GameHead clip shows Halo fan, Devin White's rough process in creating Master Chief armor. (We'd call it cosplay, but that's like calling G.I. Joe a doll.) White casts molds from his clay sculptures to create plastic, glistening armor and helmets. The race is on to hollow-out the Legendary box into a small, pet-wearable helmet. Watch this fan build a human-wearable one from scratch after the break.

  • Rockstar bringing new franchise exclusively to PS3

In a new interview with Game Head, SCEA president Jack Tretton, let loose that Sony was working with Take Two and Rockstar on a brand new IP, exclusive to PS3. Sony wanted to respect Take Two's wishes to bring Grand Theft Auto IV to both the 360 and PS3. However, they asked if they could continue the relationship they had developed over the years to work on the "next big franchise" for the controversial game publisher. SCEA's director of 3rd party relations, Michael Shorrock, updated the official US PlayStation blog, confirming this new relationship. "Rockstar really wanted to make a game that you can truly only do on PS3, harnessing the power of CELL and Blu-ray disc and this deal lets them do just that ... This is really a win-win situation for both companies."However, considering how Microsoft had to loan out $50 million to make GTA downloadable content exclusive to Xbox 360, one has to wonder if Sony had to shell out any cash as well. Sure, Sony and Take Two are friends ... but this is a business, right?[Via Joystiq]

At this rate, it's becoming difficult not to play Cliffy B's roadie-running extravaganza. During an interview with Game Head's Geoff Keighley, Epic VP Mark Rein revealed that Gears of War is in development for Mac OS X, along with Unreal Tournament 3. This news follows Epic's E3 announcement that Gears is in development for PC, with additional features not seen in the Xbox 360 version. No development details or release dates were mentioned. Given the casual nature of this announcement, however, one can assume that both Gears and UT3 will be ported from the PC to OS X using Cider, rather than being developed natively. No love for PowerPC users; though it might be time to consider that Intel-based Apple you've been eyeing ...[Update: It appears these are coming to the Mac natively, not through the magic of Cider, according to this comment from MacSoft's Ryan Gordon: "And no, neither game is using Cider." Impressive. Thanks for the link, David!][Via X3F]

Set your TiVo (who really has a TiVo anymore?) or stay up for this week's Game Head ... our Bawls are already chilled.[Via Digg]

  • April Fool's Alert #2: David Jaffe explodes on Geoff Keighley

David Jaffe will finally lose it tomorrow on GameTrailers.com during an interview with Geoff Keighley. The cubby Jaffe will finally have a lover's quarrel on camera with the twinkie Keighley and say, "$%@& you man, why do I have to be humble to you? I'll $%&@ you up your @$$!" Yeah David, don't let Keighley push you around, enough is enough! This April Fool's Day joke is based on Jaffe's previous outbursts. There was the drunken tirade at the Playboy Mansion and once on Keighley's show, GameHead, Jaffe had some choice words about a Gamespot story on him. We certainly look forward to seeing what scripted crazy-talk Jaffe will unleash on Keighley. Then again, taking Jaffe into account, it could all be real!

Imagine sixteen gamers getting tossed into a real-life deathmatch. It could happen -- but not tonight.Spike TV's Gamer Head series is airing its Call of Duty 3 promotional competition at 12:30 am ET/PT. It's unclear what the producers have cooked up to simulate the game's experience, but we're guessing the budget didn't include beach landings, mortar shells, and death, lots of death. Still, tossing these virtual wannabes into boot camp training should yield some puke and a pair of soiled drawers. And when has that failed to entertain?[Via The Last Boss]
