Netflix is adding high dynamic range (HDR) support to more mobile devices. A handful of Android handsets are already benefitting from the picture upgrade, including the LG G6, Sony Xperia XZ Premium, and Samsung Galaxy Note 8, among others. Now, thanks to the release of iOS 11, iPhone users suffering from FOMO can get in on the action too. You'll be able to binge watch in Dolby Vision HDR on the newly launched iPhone 8, 8Plus, and the upcoming iPhone X. Along with Apple's new smartphones, iPad Pro (2nd-gen) owners will also receive the bump in picture quality -- that goes for both the 10.5 and 12.9 inch models of the tablet.

Barreling their way to 100 3D titles this week, Hollywood adds Yogi Bear to the list of 3D Blu-ray titles, it is the 7th so far this year so there's a long way to go. With that being our title of the week it shouldn't be that hard to figure out that there isn't much going on in the world of Blu-ray releases this week. In fact the only other title that caught our attention was from Sony, with the classic Stand By Me. Against All Odds (Image) Alien 2: On Earth (Midnight Legacy) Anastasia (Fox) Arthur and The Invisibles 2 & 3 (Fox) Awakenings (Image) Because of Winn-Dixie (Fox) The Bible: In the Beginning... Home Media fans have been waiting a long time to finally see last year's Academy Award winning titles and the first big one we're looking forward to post-award show is finally here; The Fighter. On the other end of the spectrum, but still gives us good memories of a Summer wasted watching the same movie over and over again on HBO, is BMX Bandits. Another that might be worth a look is one we haven't heard of until just now, but with Matt Daemon in front of the camera and Clint Eastwood behind it, Hereafter should be worthy of two hours of your free time. Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (DreamWorks) Battle of the Warriors (Weinstein) BMX Bandits (Severin) The Fighter (Paramount) Extraordinary Birds (PBS) Predators (PBS) Hereafter (Warner) Heroic Age: The Complete Series (Funimation) Sharktopus (Anchor Bay) The Switch (Lions Gate) The True Story of Wrestlemania (WWE) The Losers (Warner) Yi Yi (Criterion)

It might be post-Oscar season, when most are anticipating Academy Award winning titles on Blu-ray, like Inside Job, but we can't make the best documentary winner our pick of the week when Jackass 3 is on the list. Sure it is just plain silly and absolutely ridiculous, but what can we say, we enjoy a good laugh. We do want to watch Inside Job, but it isn't even our documentary of the week, as we love football more than we like to learn about the greatest economic crisis of our time -- besides, after you've seen Frontline's Inside the Meltdown, how much more can there be to know? Every Day (Image) Excalibur (Warner) Exit Through the Gift Shop (Oscilloscope Laboratories) Four Lions (Magnolia) Inside Job (Sony) Jackass 3 (Paramount) Jonah: A Veggie Tales Movie (Lionsgate) The Man from Nowhere (Well Go USA) The Miracle Maker: The Story of Jesus (Lionsgate) Morning Glory (Paramount) The Next Three Days (Lionsgate) NFL Super Bowl XLV Champions: Green Bay Packers (Warner) The Reef (Weinstein) The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season (Anchor Bay)

We've been looking forward to the first HD release of Disney's classic Bambi and its Second Screen app for some time, but after watching the Academy Awards presentation we've pushed something else to the top of our list. 127 Hours didn't actually win any awards on Sunday night, but it was nominated enough to make us take notice and add it to our queue -- not at the top though. Also of interest this week is two more 3D titles, but we have to admit we only find these two interesting because there aren't enough 3D titles for us to get picky. 127 Hours (Fox) Bambi (Disney) Burlesque (Sony) The Cable Guy (Sony) Daughters of Darkness (Blue Underground) Dinosaurs: Giants of Patagonia 3D (Image) Faster (Sony) Genius Within: The Inner Life of Glenn Gould (Lorber) Love & Other Drugs (Fox) A Marine Story (Wolfe) Michael Jordan to the Max (Lionsgate) Out of Sight (Universal) S.W.A.T.: Firefight (Sony) Scooby-Doo!: Curse of the Lake Monster (Warner) The Ultimate Wave Tahiti 3D (Image)

If the cover art of a comedy somehow finds a way to mention Old School and The Hangover, you can count us in. Seriously, have there been two funnier movies made in the past 10 years? If so, we sure haven't seen 'em, but we do look forward to the end of the 30 day Netflix delay so we can watch Due Date. Besides the few documentaries that look good, Get Low caught our attention but only because we like Robert Duval and Bill Murray; although we can't ever think of a time we saw them together before now though. Next week is the big release of Bambi and soon after the Academy nominees will start rolling in. Due Date ( (Warner) Fish Tank (Criterion) The Last Unicorn (Lionsgate) Megamind (DreamWorks) Senso (Criterion) Sweet Smell of Success (Criterion) Get Low (Sony) 48 Hrs. The march to the Oscars continue and what better time to take in some 80's classics like Rain Man and Network as well as a few Adam Sandler movies and TV shows from BBC and Image. Not a lot of day and date titles to choose from, but one that looks worth catching is Unstoppable -- obviously not called untaxable for a reason though -- and for no other reason is worth picking up for Android fans. We've been writing this post just about every week for the past four or so years and never have we seen so many titles, with so little we'd like to watch. There are a few classics worth mentioning and although we aren't trying to say this is a classic, we do remember John Candy and his Uncle Buck fondly. Sure, it isn't Planes Trains and Automobiles, but it isn't Canadian Bacon either. We are hoping we're missing something though, and will be paying close attention to the comments where we expect you to tell us exactly what that is. The biggest title this week also happens to be the one that was probably a Oscar hopeful and had its dreams dashed the same day it hit Blu-ray, Secretariat. While we do continue to wait for those that did get nominated, there are some classic you might've been waiting for like A Beautiful Mind or one of our fav's Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Another title we enjoyed, but also saw already, are the Nature ones from PBS. There is even a 3D title, so there, truly something for everyone. We have to assume we're missing something worth watching this week though, so please help us out and let us know what it is. While we still wait for the Oscar hopefuls to hit Blu-ray, we might stop and enjoy one of the two 3D titels this week such as the day and date Piranha 3D or The Universe: 7 Wonders of the Solar System. 3D not your thing, well then perhaps you prefer the classics? Good thing for you there are a few to enjoy for the first time all over again in HD, like Dances with Wolves, The Endless Summer, Once Upon a Time in America or even the 30th anniversary of Raging Bull. But that doesn't mean we aren't looking forward to the ridiculously fun, and empty, Machete. Stop motion fans will be happy to finally get the real 3D version of Coraline this week and Dinner with the Schmucks makes us wonder why Steve Carell is leaving The Office -- hopefully not to make more movies like that. There isn't something for everyone this week, but there are a few that might interest you. First off, if you'd like to relive the greatest 80's action actors reliving their glory, then you just have to check out The Expendables -- if it's half as good Rambo, we're in for a fun ride. Not your thing? Well maybe you're a huge Tyler Perry fan and you've been waiting to enjoy the collection on Blu-ray, well good news as Madea and her family is coming at ya. If these don't interest you, then Wish IT, Want IT, Have It Eat Pray Love will; us? Well we agree with Bill Maher and Brian on this one. The wait is over and the 3D week is upon us and it isn't all old IMAX movie either. Nope, in fact the studio with the biggest modern collection of 3D movies, Disney, released one of its biggest titles of 2009 with A Christmas Carol. In addition Warner has six 3D movies themselves with one being the Summer blockbuster Clash of the Titans and the other notable being The Polar Express. Before this week Sony had the most 3D movies available to consumers with two, and it doubles that count this week with a World Cup film as well as the first Open Season movie. These nine 3D movies probably won't be the last released this year, but we'd be shocked if we saw this many released on the same day again. Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore - 3D (Warner) A Christmas Carol - 3D (Walt Disney) Clash of the Titans - 3D (Warner) Deep Sea - 3D (Warner) The Official 2010 FIFA World Cup Film - 3D (Sony Open Season - 3D (Sony) The Polar Express - 3D (Warner) Space Station 3D - 3D (Warner) Under the Sea - 3D (Warner) 16 Wishes (Image) Ancient Aliens: The Complete Season One (A&E) Avatar - Collector's Edition (Fox) Children of the Corn (Anchor Bay) Crowley (Anchor Bay) Falling Down (Warner) The Last Airbender (Paramount) The Lightkeepers (Image) Lottery Ticket (Warner) Modern Times (Criterion) Mutiny on the Bounty (Warner) Space: 1999: The Complete Season One (A&E) Special Ops (Screen) Spider-Man (Sony) Spider-Man 2 (Sony) Staunton Hill (Anchor Bay) The Tournament (Weinstein) The Twilight Zone: Season 2 (Image) Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (Warner)

If you like Adam Sandler movies -- and if you like to laugh, we're sure you do -- then great news for you as Grown Ups hits Blu-ray this week. If you don't like Adam Sandler than you might like some of the other titles available this week, and while we can't speak for anyone else, we know we haven't heard of any of them. There are a few BBC TV shows in there which should be appreciated by those who still don't get BBC America HD. Overall we're pretty disappointed, maybe next week. 5.K.1 (E1) Antichrist (Criterion) Charlie St. Cloud (Universal) The Chosen One (Allegro) A Christmas Carol (Fox) Damned by Dawn (Image) Doctor Who: The Complete Fifth Series (BBC) ESPN Films 30 For 30: The Two Escobars (ESPN) Grown Ups (Sony) Hunt to Kill (Anchor Bay) Knucklehead (Vivendi) Locked Down (Lionsgate) Metalocalypse: Season Three (Warner) The Nature of Existence (Walking Shadows) Ramona and Beezus (Fox) Robin-B-Hood (Weinstein) Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (Universal) Sherlock: Season One (BBC) Superman/Shazam!: The Return Of Black Adam (Warner) Tremors (Universal)

But then we saw the lineup, realized how forgettable it was, and everything made perfect sense. There is one big day and date title, but with an IMDB score of 6.7, we doubt we would've missed Predators much. We're not sure what is up with there being yet another highly rated animated feature but there is. Don't get us wrong, we enjoy watching movies like How to Train Your Dragon as much as the next, but no way any animated film could deserve an IMDB score of 8.3, there's just no way. We do hate to tell you that the 3D version is yet another one that's tied to hardware so unless you want to pick up two pairs of Samsung 3D glasses, you're out of luck on that one for now. That's right, the Fall season has officially begun and brought with it the first Summer blockbuster on Blu-ray, Iron Man 2. If you aren't into that one, there might still be something out there for you this week. One that caught our attention was from the Criterion Collection.
