Microsoft has announced three new bundles for the holiday season featuring its soon-to-be-replaced home console, the Xbox 360. Two bundles are priced at $299.99: a 250GB system packaged with Halo 4 and Tomb Raider and a 4GB system with a Kinect sensor and Kinect Sports: Season Two as well as Kinect Adventures. If you're looking for next-gen pricing but prefer living in the past, a $399.99 bundle will also be made available, featuring a 250GB console, Kinect sensor, the two aforementioned Kinect games and the fantastic Forza Horizon. Each bundle includes one month of Xbox Live Gold service. Microsoft's Major Nelson notes that from October 13 until January 14, "US retailers will be having a Holiday 2013 price promotion in which you'll get $50 off each bundle." Prices for the bundles vary worldwide. The Xbox family adds its latest member on November 22, when the Xbox One launches for $499.99 in North America. On November 15, Sony opens the door to the next-generation with the PS4, priced at $399.99.

If you're buying a Wii this November, what are you doing? But if, for some reason, you do end up buying the last-generation console as the new one arrives, you could do worse than the two new bundles revealed today, which will be in North American stores on Nov. 4.A $129.99 bundle replaces the Wii Sports pack-ins with Just Dance 4. For $20 more, there's the blue Wii with a copy of Skylanders Giants, the Portal of Power peripheral, two figures and an exclusive Giant Skylander. Oh ... no. Someone's going to spend $150 on that Wii bundle just for the exclusive figure. That's going to happen.%Gallery-169194%

Just in case you were worried that there weren't quite enough Xbox 360 bundles to choose from, it looks like Microsoft has another one headed down the pike. The bundle in question includes a 250GB Xbox 360 S console as well as Alan Wake and the eternal pack-in, Forza Motorsport 3. The image above -- pulled directly from one of Microsoft's retailer resource services -- is denoted as a Canadian bundle. Siliconera also reports that the bundle has been announced for South Korea at a price of 398,000 won ($356). A tipster has informed Kotaku that the bundle is available in Europe as well, retailing for €250 ($348). We've contacted Microsoft to find out if the bundle is coming stateside as well. One intriguing note about the bundle: It doesn't actually include a physical copy of Alan Wake, instead offering a code to download the game in its entirety (see a close-up image in the gallery below). While it's likely to be a Games on Demand title in the near future, it's also worth noting that Remedy has expressed interest in releasing the game in downloadable episodes, a la Fable 2. %Gallery-105176%

News coming out of the Tokyo Game Show is Microsoft's announcement of the once rumored Xbox 360 holiday bundles that'll be releasing to retail this month. And note that all 360 console SKUs come with at least one free game. The $199 Xbox 360 Arcade holiday bundle comes with SEGA Superstars Tennis and both the $299 Xbox 360 Pro and $399 Xbox 360 Elite consoles come bundled with LEGO Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda this holiday season. Also, after sniffing through press materials, we spotted holiday box stickers and they mention a free Netflix trial. You know, because Netflix is doing that whole 360 streaming thing.%Gallery-34078%

Update: Swedish retailer Webhallen.com has the rumored Arcade, Pro and Elite holiday bundles for sale and pictured on their site. It's more proof, but we still have no "official" word from Microsoft. Thanks Dirty Whirlwind.Just as was done last year, Microsoft may be looking to release special Xbox 360 packages that are bundled with a few free games to entice holiday console purchasers. And according to our insider Gamestop tipster, this holiday Microsoft will be bundling family friendly games with all three major 360 consoles. We've been informed that the Xbox 360 Arcade model will come packaged with SEGA Superstar Tennis and both the Pro and Elite models will come bundled with Kung Fu Panda and LEGO Indiana Jones. Sadly, we don't have any picture proof of the new bundles or a solid release date, but we'll keep digging to see whether or not the holiday game bundling is legit. For now, we advise being optimistically skeptical.[Thanks, Travisto]

We just received a tip and the image above via electronic mail which help to prove that Microsoft is indeed planning on releasing three new Xbox 360 offerings this holiday season. The image posted above is a screen-grab from what looks to be Best Buy's corporate SKU finder program showcasing three new holiday offerings: Xbox 360 Elite Holiday Bundle, Xbox 360 Pro Holiday Bundle and the Xbox 360 Arcade. This of course directly relates to the bundle rumors we've been hearing new console SKUs hitting store shelves in time for holiday fun. So, if we were the betting types, we'd be on the lookout for some Forza 2 / Marvel Ultimate Alliance bundle action later this month with the Arcade 360 possibly kicking the Core to the curb. Holiday bundles FTW![Thanks, Jill]
