With the holidays right around the corner, carriers will pull out all the stops to attract new customers and Verizon's no exception to the rule. First up, it's the Motorola's elusive <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/16/verizons-roadmap-for-remainder-of-07-gets-liberated/">Q9c</a> -- cousin to the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/15/hands-on-with-the-motorola-q9m-for-verizon/">Q9m</a> -- outfitted with a 1.3 megapixel camera, expandable memory via miniSD, 128MB of RAM and 64MB of ROM, Windows Mobile 6 Standard, and Bluetooth 2.0. Next up, it's UTStarcom's QWERTY-sliding <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/04/20/htc-libra-clears-fcc/">SMT5800</a>. The device will rock a 1xEV-DO Rev. A radio (which unfortunately looks like it will be held to Rev. 0 at launch), 2 megapixel shooter, microSD support, 128MB of RAM and 64MB of ROM, Windows Mobile 6 Standard, and Bluetooth 2.0. UTStarcom looks to finally bring the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/search/?q=xv6800">XV6800</a> running WM6 Professional, too -- but sadly, it will also have the EV-DO Rev. A radio downgraded to Rev. 0 at launch. Rounding out the November launch schedule is the Palm <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/07/19/verizons-palm-treo-755p-in-the-flesh/">Treo 755p</a>, trailing Sprint by a country mile, but Palm OS faithful are probably thinking it's better to launch this one late than never. Let's hope these dates stick, yeah?<br /><br />[Thanks, HTC Kid]<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/is-this-verizons-pda-line-up-for-november-1/">Is this Verizon's PDA line-up for November?</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/is-this-verizons-pda-line-up-for-november-1/#439336"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadgetmobile.com/media/2007/10/vzw-nov-1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/is-this-verizons-pda-line-up-for-november-1/#439337"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadgetmobile.com/media/2007/10/vzw-nov-2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/is-this-verizons-pda-line-up-for-november-1/#439338"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadgetmobile.com/media/2007/10/vzw-nov-3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/is-this-verizons-pda-line-up-for-november-1/#439339"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadgetmobile.com/media/2007/10/vzw-nov-4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/is-this-verizons-pda-line-up-for-november-1/#439340"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadgetmobile.com/media/2007/10/vzw-nov-5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/handsets/" rel="tag">Handsets</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/motorola/" rel="tag">Motorola</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/palm/" rel="tag">Palm</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/verizon-wireless/" rel="tag">Verizon Wireless</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/palm-os/" rel="tag">Palm OS</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/windows-mobile/" rel="tag">Windows Mobile</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/ev-do/" rel="tag">EV-DO</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/cdma/" rel="tag">CDMA</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/10/14/is-this-verizons-pda-line-up-for-november/">Is this Verizon's PDA line-up for November?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Sun, 14 Oct 2007 11:09:00 EST. Is Verizon having a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/06/06/a-look-at-verizons-busy-summer/">busy summer</a>? We guess it <a href="http://www.engadget.com/search/?q=htc+kid&amp;sort=date">depends on who you ask</a>. For some, the time for the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2006/09/13/htc-libra-utstarcom-5800-also-revealed/">HTC Vox</a> (aka <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/06/08/telus-htc-s720-in-the-wild/">UTStarcom XV5800</a>) finally hit the hands of employees last week and the device should be available for sale sometime in August. All the stats remain the same like a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/03/23/broadcom-wants-to-ban-all-u-s-phones-with-qualcomm-chips/">Qualcomm</a> 7500 series EV-DO Rev A chipset and a 400MHz processor. The only thing we noticed was the change for internal storage which is claimed to be 162MB, which sounds a little strange to us. Let's hope that <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/verizon-wireless/">Big Red</a> can pull this one off in time for Labor Day. <br /><br />[Thanks, HTC Kid]<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/handsets/" rel="tag">Handsets</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/htc/" rel="tag">HTC</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/verizon-wireless/" rel="tag">Verizon Wireless</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/windows-mobile/" rel="tag">Windows Mobile</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/1xrtt/" rel="tag">1xRTT</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/ev-do/" rel="tag">EV-DO</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/cdma/" rel="tag">CDMA</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/02/verizon-preps-for-launch-of-uts-xv5800/">Verizon preps for launch of UTS XV5800?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 02 Aug 2007 14:03:00 EST. We can take this picture and file it under "<a href="http://www.engadget.com/search/?q=sneak+peek">sneak peek</a>" and "blurry" all at the same time. From what we can make out here, it seems <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/verizon-wireless/">Verizon</a> sets in motion plans to launch several devices in the month of August. From the Motorola <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/05/22/motorolas-motorizr-z6tv-mediaflo-phone-outed-by-fcc/">Z6tv </a>at top left, to the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/06/18/motorola-q9m-in-the-wild/">Q9M</a> (remember the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/search/?q=iphone+killer">iPhone killer</a>?), the Motorola <a href="http://www.engadget.com/search/?q=razr+2">RAZR 2</a> (aka <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/07/18/motorolas-v9m-up-front-and-center-for-verizon/">V9m</a>), <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/02/11/more-shots-of-samsungs-i760/">Samsung i760</a>, and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/02/09/verizon-xv6800-in-the-flesh/">UTStarcom XV6800</a> should all be making an appearance this coming month. Word on the street is that several phones should be launching shortly including UTStarcom <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/04/20/htc-libra-clears-fcc/">Libra</a> at the end of June, the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/04/13/treo-755p-coming-to-verizon/">Palm Treo 755p</a>, UTStarcom <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/19/htc-titan-in-the-wild/">Titan</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/03/26/sierra-wireless-aircard-595u-ev-do-rev-a-usb-modem-coming-in-ap/">Sierra Wireless 595U</a> USB aircard, and the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/05/26/verizon-prepping-iphone-killers-from-motorola-and-lg/">Motorola Q9M</a> (aka <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/06/03/iphone-release-date-confirmed-yours-on-june-29th/">iPhone</a> Killer) rounding out the month of July. New intel suggests that <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/verizon-wireless/erizon-branding/">Verizon</a> is planning to release the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/04/05/blackberry-8830-cyclone-peeped-with-verizon-branding/">BlackBerry 8830 (aka Cyclone)</a> on May 14 for the business channel and May 29 for consumers. A couple other bits of information as well: there's support for microSD cards up to the standard 2GB, and the media player supposedly supports -- get this -- iTunes music. Check out an additional pic (fuzzy, but helpful, we promise) after the break.<br /><br />[Thanks, HTC Kid]<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/04/19/more-blackberry-8830-details/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>More BlackBerry 8830 details</em></a></p><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/handsets/" rel="tag">Handsets</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/rim/" rel="tag">RIM</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/verizon-wireless/" rel="tag">Verizon Wireless</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/1xrtt/" rel="tag">1xRTT</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gsm/" rel="tag">GSM</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gprs/" rel="tag">GPRS</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/edge/" rel="tag">EDGE</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/ev-do/" rel="tag">EV-DO</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/cdma/" rel="tag">CDMA</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/04/19/more-blackberry-8830-details/">More BlackBerry 8830 details</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 19 Apr 2007 09:00:00 EST. Looks like <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/verizon-wireless/">The Network</a> has finally been piecing together the puzzle for the globetrotters who need a fresh BlackBerry. The latest word on the street has the device possibly getting launched some time in the next 30 to 60 days. In case you don't remember, we'll jog your memory and run down some of the features: a dual band 800 / 1900 MHz CDMA radio for the States, GSM / GPRS support for international roaming, trackball navigation, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/search/?q=os+4.2">OS 4.2</a>, media player, and removable memory. It looks like <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/18/blackberry-worldphone-coming-to-sprint/">Sprint</a> customers wont' be the only ones in the spotlight this spring as Verizon Wireless will also get their hands on the global BlackBerry codenamed "Cyclone." The details are pretty slim at this point other than it's going to be built on the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/24/blackberry-8800-to-be-announced-next-month/">8800</a> series, runs OS 4.2, has a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2006/08/21/verizon-releasing-8700-with-gsm-support/">hybrid CDMA / GSM</a> radio for talking on the other side of the pond, and a media player with expandable memory. RIM was even so kind to through in a some AGPS and Bluetooth 2.0. All we have to say is WOW!<br /><br />[Thanks, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/search/?q=htckid">HTC Kid</a>]<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/handsets/" rel="tag">Handsets</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/rim/" rel="tag">RIM</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/verizon-wireless/" rel="tag">Verizon Wireless</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/1xrtt/" rel="tag">1xRTT</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gsm/" rel="tag">GSM</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/ev-do/" rel="tag">EV-DO</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/cdma/" rel="tag">CDMA</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/31/new-blackberry-appears-on-verizons-radar/">New BlackBerry appears on Verizon's radar</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Wed, 31 Jan 2007 15:50:00 EST. Every now and then, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/20/samsung-i760-for-verizon-yep-it-runs-crossbow/">Verizon</a> will play with our emotions by setting a launch date for a device and then pulling it back when that info gets leaked by one of our tipsters. It wasn't <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2006/11/19/verizon-wireless-branded-pantech-pn-820-pictures-leaked/">too long ago</a> when <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/17/verizon-wireless-to-launch-samsung-u340/">The Roc</a> showed us pics of the device. Since then, the stores have received the dummy units and the price points have been set, so the actual launch can't be too far off. Thanks to <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/17/verizon-prepares-to-launch-fire-red-krzr/">HTC Kid</a>, he was able to smuggle out the pricing which is listed as $349.99 commitment free, $299.99 on a one year, and $249.99 on a <strike>life long</strike> two year contract. Oh yeah, he reports that it should be in retail for launch on February 16th. Hopefully, it won't get delayed any longer as it may turn out to be last year's news if it does.<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/handsets/" rel="tag">Handsets</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/pantech/" rel="tag">Pantech</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/verizon-wireless/" rel="tag">Verizon Wireless</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/1xrtt/" rel="tag">1xRTT</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/ev-do/" rel="tag">EV-DO</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/cdma/" rel="tag">CDMA</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/22/more-details-surface-for-verizons-pn-820/">More details surface for Verizon's PN-820</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Mon, 22 Jan 2007 19:30:00 EST. OK, well it's really not a secret thanks to a few friends of ours but we have some more details on the launch for you. The Network <em>intends</em> to launch their own branded MediaFLO product (aka VCast TV) March 1, 2007 with the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/07/hands-on-with-the-samsung-sch-u620-for-verizon/">Samsung U620</a> instead of the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/07/hands-on-with-the-lg-vx9400-for-verizon/">LGVX9400</a> due to the device having trouble in testing. It's expected to cost $15.00 per month and will initially launch in such cities as Minneapolis, Kansas City, and Chicago. Word on the street is that Verizon even has an exclusive on the product through October. <br /><br />[Thanks, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2006/12/22/verizons-samsung-i760-out-blackjacks-the-blackjack/">HTC Kid</a>]<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/multimedia/" rel="tag">Multimedia</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/lg/" rel="tag">LG</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/samsung/" rel="tag">Samsung</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/verizon-wireless/" rel="tag">Verizon Wireless</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/ev-do/" rel="tag">EV-DO</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/cdma/" rel="tag">CDMA</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/22/verizons-vcast-tv-launch-plans/">Verizon's VCAST TV launch plans!</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Mon, 22 Jan 2007 15:00:00 EST. Enter in the latest addition to Verizon's expanding lineup of <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2006/12/15/more-details-surface-for-verizons-aircard-595/">Rev. A Aircards</a>, the Novatel MCD3000. It supports speeds up to 3.1 mbps through its small flip up antenna, USB 2.0, and is backwards compatible with Rev. 0. The manufacture states that it supports Vista, XP, 2000 and Mac <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/09/the-apple-iphone-runs-os-x/">OS X</a>, so the bases are covered from the operating system standpoint. One of our favorite tipsters, HTC Kid, says it's going to be available in the very near future -- so stay tuned for pricing details and launch date!<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/handsets/" rel="tag">Handsets</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/others/" rel="tag">Others</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/verizon-wireless/" rel="tag">Verizon Wireless</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/1xrtt/" rel="tag">1xRTT</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/ev-do/" rel="tag">EV-DO</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/cdma/" rel="tag">CDMA</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/16/novatel-planning-another-rev-a-product-for-verizon/">Novatel planning another Rev.
