We've already seen it out in the wild, but those intrigued by Samsung's shiny new i7110 candybar handset will no doubt want to head on over All About Symbian, which has just delivered part one of an expectedly thorough review of the phone. Not too surprisingly, the phone's 2.6-inch OLED screen proved to be the real stand-out feature, with the site even going so far as to describe is as "something of a revelation." It was also especially impressed by the phone's 5-megapixel camera and dual-LED flash, which stood up well to and sometimes surpassed the one on the Nokia N82 (video capture, however, proved to be considerably more lackluster). On the downside, the optical joystick and control cluster, while "interesting," proved to be "somewhat flawed," with the joystick occasionally resulting in the wrong item being selected. As you might expect, they're reserving final judgment for part two of the review, which also promises to delve into the phone's software suite in greater detail.

Samsung's Symbian S60-based i7110 has barely been official for 24 hours, and here we have the very first in the wild shots to get your saliva glands working overtime. Granted, the handset was tethered to some table wherever it was found, but that doesn't detract too much from the overall sex appeal. Check the read link for a couple more photographs.[Thanks, Martin]

Hardware fanatics, listen up -- a golden egg has been laid in the form of the Samsung I7110. Arriving with a slightly sleeker design than on the earlier spotted i7110c, this Symbian S60-based candybar has been revealed to the world today in London. Specs wise, you're looking at a luscious 2.6-inch AMOLED display, FM radio / transmitter , GPS navigation (with geotagging functionality), an accelerometer, "3D graphics," Bluetooth 2.0, HSDPA and WiFi. Additionally, it packs a 5-megapixel camera (with Auto Focus and a LED flash), robust multimedia player (DivX support included), 50MB of internal memory, a microSDHC slot, video recording, 11-hours of talk time and a 12.9-millimeter thin body. Price remains a mystery, but those in Russia will be the first in the know when it launches there next month. As for everyone else? Patience.

No, no -- Sammy wouldn't dare dub this the Mullet, although we have a sneaking suspicion it would sell quite well here in the south if such a bold decision were made. Nevertheless, the i7110c (that's more like it, no?) has just been revealed, and while a great deal of mystery still surrounds it, we are told that it will likely boast a QVGA display, a navigational cube that acts as a cursor controller, 5-megapixel camera (with flash), microSD expansion slot, multimedia player, Bluetooth and an FM tuner. We must say, we're strangely attracted to the harmonious mix of business-like design cues and consumer-friendly attributes, though it would be nice if Samsung came on out and made this thing official.
