Twitter's stricter approach to verification isn't just taking checkmarks away from the leaders of racist groups. The social network has pulled the verified badge from conspiracy peddler Liz Crokin after Chrissy Teigen and her husband John Legend reacted to Crokin's unsupported claims that the two were trafficking their child in a Washington, DC pedophile ring. As Teigen explained, it didn't make sense that Twitter would verify someone who was accusing her of horrific acts, especially not when this person has nearly 50,000 followers.

For all the ground Netflix has covered with its original shows, there's one area it has yet to touch: the talent show. If you ask Variety, however, that's about to change. It understands that Netflix is partnering with John Legend's production company Get Lifted Film Co. on Rhythm & Flow, a music talent competition series. It's still in the early stages (they haven't chosen any hosts yet), but it would focus on R&B and soul music. A former NBC executive, Jeff Gaspin, is reportedly involved through his Primary Wave Entertainment business.

Sony BMG is adding some music muscle to the Blu-ray lineup, announcing two discs featuring Rod Stewart and John Legend they will be releasing on the format. Rod Stewart: Live at Royal Albert Hall and John Legend: Live at the House of Blues are both described as summer releases, but no specific date or price yet. Both were originally recorded in high definition and will feature uncompressed audio, as well as various behind the scenes features from both concerts. Rod Stewart fans can look forward to Maggie May, Stay With Me, and selections from his Great American Songbook series. R&B singer John Legend's disc will feature his hit Ordinary People as well as guest appearances from Snoop Dogg and Kanye West. After Paramount has delayed their high definition releases including U2: Rattle & Hum, Blu-ray may have the first concert releases between them and HD DVD. That said, the first one to put the Beyonce special that used to air on INHD all the time onto a round disc may get my dollars.
