As members of LG's fashion line, neither the KF600 nor KF750 Secret were ever designed to be completely anonymous, per se, and they definitely won't be if you procure yours through the folks at Goldstriker. The masters of conspicuous embellishment have added gold-plated versions of the new LG sliders to its line -- 24 karat gold, natch -- which should go nicely with the gilded Mercedes Benz medallions that Goldstriker also sells. It seems that your choice of the KF600 or Secret will run £329.95 or £529.95 respectively (about $648 or $1,035), which at least in the case of the KF600 isn't much of a premium over what you'd pay for a standard unlocked version. Just don't let that micron of gold rub off, and you should be golden. Yes, pun intended.[Via Pocket-lint]

You've seen these babies in one form or another over the past year or so (give or take), but now LG has gotten all mushy and official with us on its lineup of handsets. First up on the board is the KF700 -- a phone we've only seen grainy spy shots of -- which features a 3-inch touchscreen, sliding alpha-numeric keyboard, and a slew of multimedia functions. The KF600 is a similarly minded slider, but with a split touchscreen (one for navigation, one for major fun), a 3-megapixel camera, MP3 player, and video recorder. The other new entry is the KF510, another skinny (you guessed it) slider, this time with haptic feedback, an LCD covered in tempered glass, quick start camera with flash, the ability to record QVGA video, and "emotional animation." The KF700 and KF510 will be available in March in Europe, with other regions to follow, and the KF600 is available now. Hit the gallery to see luscious photos of the whole set just oozing silicon chic.[Via MobileTechNews]%Gallery-15773%Read - Triple Your Efficiency with LG-KF700Read - LG Introduces Mind-reading Interactive PhoneRead - Inimitable Style, Slender Strength

  • LG goes global with KF600, says it "cannot compete" in the low end

Well, that certainly didn't take very long -- that Venus-esque piece from LG, the KF600, has already broken out of China for launches in Brazil and Turkey. At around $350, the dual-screen "touch navigation" slider is far from entry-level -- and that's just the way LG likes it, apparently. The company has gone on record saying that it's all but ceding the low end of the mobile spectrum to Nokia and Samsung, instead focusing its efforts on the $300 range globally as the key to reaping "stable and strong profits." With the Chocolate and Shine series seemingly doing so well across the globe, we'd venture to guess that might not be a bad niche for LG to fill.

  • LG's Venus-alike for China, the KF600

Look familiar? Yeah? LG's never been one to pass up an opportunity to milk a good design for all it's worth, and it seems that Verizon's Venus is the latest to get swept up in LG's merry-go-round of globalization and localization. The KF600 for China looks virtually identical to the Venus at first glance, but the similarities stop there; this one is a GSM / EDGE powered beast (sans 3G, it seems) with a 3 megapixel autofocus camera, as opposed to the Venus' 2. Now that we know LG has it in 'em to craft a GSM version of the Venus, it'd be nice to see it go unlocked and global, would it not?[Via Unwired View]
