If you're an IT professional supporting Apple software and hardware, or you are an Apple Consultant, you might want to check out the MacTech series of BootCamp events. Actually, I'm going to upgrade that to you should check out the MacTech BootCamp events. They take place all over the country, and as with any conference, you're absolutely going to get your money's worth just on the hallway track alone. Interacting with other technicians/consultants is always valuable time. Not only do you get to chat up fellow Apple tech types, you also get sessions with a variety of topics. MacTech's first BootCamp of 2013 is in Seattle on March 6, and this one adds an interesting feature. Those familiar with MacTech's conference later in the year may recall the opportunity to test for Apple Certification at the end of the conference. Earlier this week, MacTech announced the Microsoft Office for Mac Accredited Support Professional accreditation pilot program. This is a half-day program the day before each BootCamp event. Microsoft's program will cover information for supporting Microsoft Office for Mac and Microsoft Office 365, particularly for Apple users. And it's free, MacTech's gift to you as part of attending MacTech BootCamp. Let's be honest, there's not a lot that Microsoft gives away, particularly when it comes to Apple or certifications. If a free certification wasn't bonus enough, MacTech BootCamp Seattle will now include yours truly. I'll be there looking for stories, so if you have something you want to pitch to TUAW (and you've read the book to know how to do this properly), now's your chance! I know budgeting can be a concern, so I have a deal for you. If you register using this extra special TUAW link, you'll get a pretty fantastic deal (regular price is $499, TUAW reader price is $299 with six months of MacTech magazine). I will see you in Seattle!

Hey, everybody -- it won't be me on TUAW TV Live today. Instead, Kelly Guimont will be hosting today's show, providing your weekly hour of entertainment live from Portland, Ore. Kelly says she'll be wingin' it today, which means that this week's hot topics -- the VP over iOS Maps at Apple getting canned, the non-appearance of iTunes 11 and the "let's squeak it in on the last day of November" introduction of the new 21.5" iMac -- will most likely be discussed in detail. As usual, I'll be starting the show at 5 PM ET (2 PM PT / 10 PM GMT) sharp, and we'll take a few minutes to chat before the demos start. To join in on the chat and watch the live streaming video, drop by TUAW about five minutes before the start time to get your instructions on how to participate. If you're unable to join us for the show, remember that you can always subscribe to the video podcast and watch the show at your leisure in iTunes or any other favorite podcatching app. The past shows are also available on the TUAW YouTube channel. The chat is on IRC: join us on server chat1.ustream.tv, chat room #tuaw-tv.

As usual, I'll be starting the show at 5 PM EDT (2 PM PDT / 10 PM BST) sharp, and we'll take a few minutes to chat before the demos and/or fun stuff start. Once again it's Wednesday, which can mean only one thing: TUAW TV Live is...well, it's live! At 5pm Eastern, 2pm Pacific, you can see Kelly G and Doc Rock attempt to cover an hour of Apple news and speculation and, let's be honest, Zod knows what else. They have a tendency to wander. Below, you'll find a Ustream livestream viewer and a chat tool. The chat tool allows you to participate by asking questions or making comments. You'll be watching the show in glorious HD! If you're driving somewhere and would like to watch TUAW TV Live while you're stuck in traffic, please don't -- keep your eyes on the road! However, if someone else is doing the driving, you can watch the show on your iPhone and join the chat by downloading the free Ustream App. It's a universal app and is wonderful on an iPad, both for viewing and participating in the chat. In addition, the live stream and chat will be available through our Facebook page. Just point your browser here to watch the show and chat with other viewers while you're on Facebook. We'll start at about 5 PM ET, so if you're seeing a prerecorded show, be sure to refresh your browser until you see the live stream. For those of you who are not able to join us for the live edition, you'll be able to view it later this evening on our TUAW Video YouTube channel and as part of the TUAW TV Live podcast viewable in iTunes or on any of your Apple devices.

WOW -- the WWDC 2012 Keynote was incredibly exciting this morning, and the adrenalin is still pumping through our veins here at TUAW. This afternoon, we're doing another special edition of TUAW TV Live, featuring Kelly Guimont and myself. As with this morning's TUAW TV Live, this one will be coming to you through YouTube live streaming. You have a choice of either watching the stream below or going to http://youtube.com/tuawvideo to watch the insanity in action. We'll also be using the same IRC chatroom used this morning -- that's irc.freenode.net, chatroom #tuaw.

We meet again, Sunday. This week it's a nice entree of WWDC confirmed items, with a nice desert of theories from my House. We will certainly be discussing iOS 6 wishes and a little bit of whatever strikes the fancy of the live studio audience. Kelly hosting can only mean one thing: Aftershow! The never recorded, ever amusing free-ranging discussion and aftermath. All bets are off. Since it's really all about you, the community, join us ,won't you? To participate, you can use the browser-only Talkshoe client, the embedded Facebook app, or download the classic TalkShoe Pro Java client; however, for +5 Interactivity, you should call in. For the web UI, just click the Talkshoe Web button on our profile page at 4 HI/7 PDT/10 pm EDT Sunday. To call in on regular phone or VoIP lines (Viva free weekend minutes!): dial (724) 444-7444 and enter our talkcast ID, 45077 -- during the call, you can request to talk by keying in *8. Not just Sunday, but Mother's Day Sunday! Once you've wrapped up brunch and presents for Mom, join us for the show tonight! We'll have a little news about system updates and new maps but mostly we want to talk to moms. We'll spend some time with a few of our favorites, provided they aren't still off getting massages or enjoying a Mother's Day that extends well into the evening. Kelly hosting the show means Kelly hosting the aftershow, and you know that's always a good time. Join us for the non-recorded, off-topic, random conversation. Since it's really all about you, the community, join me won't you? Unless you've been hiding under a rock or under general anesthesia for the last few hours, you know that Apple today made some amazing announcements. There's a new iPad, a new Apple TV, iPhoto for iOS, updated iWork for iOS, GarageBand, and iMovie, and even a new version of iOS -- version 5.1. Kelly "proprietress of the house of crackpot theories" Guimont will be my co-host today, and we invite you to join the IRC chat, sit back with a cold (or warm) one, and enjoy the show. I'm sure we'll be having a pile of fun, since we'll probably be trying to pre-order iPads while talking. Below, you'll find a Ustream livestream viewer and a chat tool. The chat tool allows you to participate by asking questions or making comments. If you're driving somewhere and would like to watch TUAW TV Live while you're stuck in traffic, please don't -- keep your eyes on the road! After the excitement of the March 2012 Apple Event Metaliveblog has worn off a bit today, you can still discuss the good or somewhat questionable announcements that were made. What did you like? What made you red with anger? Inquiring minds want to know! Today at 5 PM, the lovely and talented Kelly Guimont will be joining me (the not-so-lovely and quasi-talented Steve Sande) for an hour long no-holds-barred discussion of what has transpired. As usual, I'll be starting the show at 5 PM EDT (2 PM PDT / 10 PM BST) sharp, and we'll take a few minutes to chat before the demos start. To join in on the chat and watch the live streaming video, drop by TUAW about five minutes before the start time to get your instructions on how to participate. Once again it's Understudy Wednesday on TUAW TV Live, meaning you get a bonus dose of TUAW Talkcast host Kelly, and co-host (or partner in crime, depending who you ask) Doc Rock. Since Apple didn't have the decency to consult the TUAW TV Live schedule, they released Mountain Lion the day after last week's show so this we'll be talking about that and any other news and hardware or demos that Kelly and Doc come up with before the show starts. Below, you'll find a Ustream livestream viewer and a chat tool. The chat tool allows you to participate by asking questions or making comments. If you're driving somewhere and would like to watch TUAW TV Live while you're stuck in traffic, please don't -- keep your eyes on the road! Welcome back to another exciting episode of TUAW TV Live. It's hard to believe that this show has almost been on the air for two years; time flies when you're having fun with a great group of people! And speaking of time flying, our "Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?" proprietress of the House of Crackpot Theories™ is one year older today. Kelly Guimont is my guest co-host on TUAW TV Live today, which means that there should be some craziness, yummy birthday cake (courtesy of Ms. Guimont), and a lot of other fun goings-on. One short but controversial topic will be the Amazon Kindle Fire, which is a little short for a stormtrooper, too. I'll also have the usual introductions to a number of items that will be reviewed on TUAW in the near future. Below, you'll find a Ustream livestream viewer and a chat tool. The chat tool allows you to participate by asking questions or making comments. If you're driving somewhere and would like to watch TUAW TV Live while you're stuck in traffic, please don't -- keep your eyes on the road! We're going to have some fun this afternoon on TUAW TV Live. My very special guest will be TUAW Talkcast regular and proprietress of the House of Crackpot Theories™, Kelly Guimont (that's her on the left in the photo above, in case you were confused). Today just so happens to be Kelly's birthday, so all of you are invited to the virtual party on TUAW TV Live. I'll also have a handful of new goodies that have show up in the TUAW Labs lately, as well as a non-Apple tablet -- the Amazon Kindle Fire. Those of you who follow me on Twitter already know my opinion about this device (it's definitely not an iPad-killer), but it does have some redeeming features that are kind of interesting and the integration with Amazon's content farms is incredible.
