This is the full Glory of the Hero guide, organized by dungeon: Part I: Ahn'kahet Part II: Azjol-Nerub and Culling of Stratholme Part III: Drak'Tharon Keep Part IV: Gun'drak Part V: Halls of Lightning Part VI: Halls of Stone Part VII: The Nexus Part VIII: The Oculus Part IX: Utgarde Keep and Utgarde Pinnacle And today's guide, Part X: Violet Hold

Two Bosses Enter ... but only One Boss Leaves, in WoW.com's series of fantasy death matches. Welcome to Round Two of the five-man Wrath of the Lich King season. Grab a seat, and let's get ready to rumble! Gortok Palehoof and his menagerie of stuffed death came alive on Lavanthor in this week's Two Bosses Enter Thunderdome. The puppy barked up just 29% of the reader vote under Palehoof and Company's onslaught. Rai calls it for the winning team:Rai: Both Gortok and Lavanthor are essentially fighting for their freedom, as that's the situation they are faced with when you fight them in their respective instances. This might be an important point. As long as Lavanthor is stronger than each individual minion of Gortok, he should have no problem killing them in any order, until Gortok himself enters the fray. By this point, Lavanthor will be injured. Lavanthor would create some more distance between the pair, and the battle would become a fire-spittin', spear-throwin' ranged showdown.Assuming the spears aren't fireproof, with some careful aim (who am I kidding? lava spat all over the place), a lot of them might not even reach Lavanthor. However, Gortok would have been using Withering Roar this entire time, so Lavanthor's health is getting lower and lower ...A stray spear works around the lava and hits Lavanthor between the eyes. The puppy is down, but it's very close. If Gortok is lucky, he won't die from his burn injuries.

Two Bosses Enter ... but only One Boss Leaves, in WoW.com's series of fantasy death matches. Welcome to Round Two of the five-man Wrath of the Lich King season. Grab a seat, and let's get ready to rumble! This week's Two Bosses Thunderdome is a fantastical menagerie: Gortok Palehoof and his Utgarde Pinnacle menagerie against Lavanthor of the Violet Hold. Palehoof and Company sailed through the gamut of Old Stratholme in their first-round matchup against the Infinite Corruptor (the Culling of Stratholme), while Lavanthor chewed up Moragg like a discarded chew toy in his own first-round match. Will this week's matchup offer a more challenging battle for each? The ground rules: Assume that the opponents along with their collected minions share similar levels, health pools and comparative overall damage output. This deathmatch takes place in neutral territory, which shall not hinder either boss from using his usual encounter abilities. All the usual minions will be available to each boss. Don't get caught up in gameplay mechanics and what actual players might do in each encounter. Don't neglect style, story and scale. As Dr. Dealgood would say -- ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls ... Dyin' time's here.

Two Bosses Enter ... but only One Boss Leaves, in WoW Insider's series of fantasy death matches. This season's bosses come from the five-man instances of Wrath of the Lich King. In a match-up that readers dubbed The Puppy vs. The Squeak Toy, Lavanthor chewed up Moragg for an easy victory. Dimmak posed an alternative scenario for the losing side: "Moragg has a small advantage in his powers and flying ability. Initially, Lavanthor has the advantage from his fire attacks, but Moragg will be chipping away his armor. The loss of healing won't have much effect, but Lavanthor's big failing is that he spits his fire on the ground."We have to assume Moragg and all his eyes will see the fire underneath him and will move out of it. This will reduce the damage of Lavanthor, who will be too stupid to realize his best attack isn't working. Moragg will win, but he is going to be real hurt." Looks like putting the "draw" alternative at the top of the poll did change the results a bit. We'll try it again in the next matchup of this season's Two Bosses Enter ... One Boss Leaves, coming up this afternoon.

Two Bosses Enter ... but only One Boss Leaves, in WoW Insider's series of fantasy death matches. This season's duelists hail from the five-man instances of Wrath of the Lich King. This week's boss matchup pulls two prisoners from The Violet Hold: Moragg vs. Lavanthor. Let's take a look at the eye-popping action to find out whose bark is worse than his bite. The usual rules apply: assume that the opponents share similar levels, health pools and damage output, and that they are fighting right there in the prison. Let's keep the debate on the three S's: Style, Story and Scale. Don't get caught up in game mechanics and what players might do in each encounter. Consider the flavor each villainous gladiator brings to bear, then cast your vote for who you think would come out on top.
