<a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Toshiba/">Toshiba</a> has announced that its Satellite A350 and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/NB100/">NB100</a> would soon be finding their way into Europe, Middle East, and African (EMEA) markets with an added bonus: HSPA technology. We've got precisely <em>nada</em> on the price tag for these iterations, however, which normally retail for around $800 and $500 without 3G. If you're on the lookout for a laptop with some extra portability, both models are expected to hit retail channels first quarter of this year.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://notebookitalia.it/toshiba-nb100-3g-italia-4677.html">Notebook Italia</a>]<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/laptops/" rel="tag">Laptops</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/10/toshiba-packs-nb100-a350-with-3g-and-ships-them-off-to-emea/">Toshiba packs NB100, A350 with 3G and ships them off to EMEA</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 10 Feb 2009 07:51:00 EST. What's up with <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Australia/">Australia</a> and its promotions? Last year, the big deal was Toshiba giving away <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/12/21/toshiba-giving-away-hd-dvd-players-with-lcd-tv-purchase-in-au/">free HD DVD players</a> with an LCD HDTV purchase and Sony <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/12/26/buy-a-1080p-bravia-and-sony-australia-will-toss-in-a-ps3-for-fre/">tossing in a PS3</a> with select 1080p BRAVIAs. This year, we've got Panasonic throwing in a Wii with an HDTV and Toshiba handing out netbooks. You heard right -- for Aussies who plunk down for an <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/08/28/toshiba-expands-the-regza-family-with-rv-xv-series-1080p-lcds/">XV500</a> series HDTV at 37-, 42- or 46-inches between now and January 15, 2009, they'll also receive an 8.9-inch <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/NB100/">NB100</a> (AU$799) netbook free of charge. Of course, that's "while supplies last," so we'd get on this pronto if you're even mildly interested. As for we Americans? We're taking home <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/11/22/denon-rewards-buyers-of-its-pricey-blu-ray-decks-with-free-batma/">free movies</a> with pricey Blu-ray decks. Oh sure, you've seen <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/10/15/toshiba-satellite-nb100-netbook-gets-spotted-critiqued/">a brief glimpse</a> of Toshiba's NB100 (a pre-production unit, at least) at the company's own Mobility Conference, but things just feel a little different when the spotting goes down in the wild. The <em>LXF Team</em> was lucky enough to get their camera on <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/09/18/toshibas-nb100-netbook-coming-to-the-uk/">Tosh's UK-bound rig</a>, and while nothing was tremendously shocking, it was called out for boasting a "boxy, but sturdy construction that looks like a shrunk-down 'serious' laptop." Check out a finalized unit beside an equally cute Aspire One in the read link below.<br /><br />[Thanks, Mike]<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/laptops/" rel="tag">Laptops</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/10/23/toshibas-nb100-netbook-photographed-in-the-wild/">Toshiba's NB100 netbook photographed in the wild</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 23 Oct 2008 23:49:00 EST. Late last month, we found that Toshiba's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/09/18/toshibas-nb100-netbook-coming-to-the-uk/">Satellite NB100 netbook</a> was making a beeline to the UK, and while a press shot is well, fine and good, there's just nothing like a little hands-on action to get you salivating. The crew over at <em>TrustedReviews</em> made it over to Zurich for Tosh's first ever Mobility Conference, and the star of the show wasn't one of <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/10/14/toshiba-gets-official-with-portege-r600-ultraportable/">those</a> new <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/10/14/toshiba-portege-m750-reminds-us-of-a-tablet-we-used-to-see-now-a/">Port&eacute;g&eacute; machines</a> or the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/10/14/toshiba-keeps-em-coming-with-tecra-r10-portege-a600/">Tecra R10</a>; rather, it was the 2.29-pound NB100. Of note, the unit shown was a pre-production rig that shouldn't change much before it's loosed on the public, and contrary to earlier reports, it will boast three USB sockets to bring it in line with most of its closest competitors. Unfortunately, early impressions were that the keyboard was lacking, and the glare-filled display wasn't exactly smiled upon. Check the read link for additional shots and a few more blurbs.<br /><br />[Thanks, Patrice]<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/laptops/" rel="tag">Laptops</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/10/15/toshiba-satellite-nb100-netbook-gets-spotted-critiqued/">Toshiba Satellite NB100 netbook gets spotted, critiqued</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Wed, 15 Oct 2008 11:21:00 EST. That Toshiba netbook we've seen in <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/09/15/toshibas-nb105-netbook-shows-up-on-video/">grainy video</a> and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/09/12/toshibas-nb105-netbook-less-interesting-than-wed-hoped/">semi-official</a> fashion has gone and gotten all really-official today -- at least in the UK. The minuscule laptop -- dubbed the NB100 -- will feature an 8.9-inch, 1024 x 600 display, a 1.6GHz Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 120GB hard drive, WiFi, and will be available in either Ubuntu or Windows XP flavors (you're surprised, right?). The NB100 will be offered in three colors, Cosmic Black, Champagne Gold, and Bright Silver, thus making its casing the only difference between this and every other middling, mediocre netbook on the market. Prices are set to start at &pound;260 (or about $472), and the laptops will be on shelves this October.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://es.engadget.com/2008/09/18/toshiba-confirma-el-lanzamiento-de-su-primer-ultraportatil-el-n/">Engadget Spanish</a>; Thanks, Joe]<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/laptops/" rel="tag">Laptops</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/09/18/toshibas-nb100-netbook-coming-to-the-uk/">Toshiba's NB100 netbook coming to the UK</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 18 Sep 2008 11:03:00 EST.
