Future Netflix original shows rated TV-14 or lower and movies rated PG-13 or below will no longer include depictions of smoking or e-cigarette use, except in cases of historical or factual accuracy. The service will also avoid showing smoking or e-cigarette use in more adult-orientated projects "unless it's essential to the creative vision of the artist or because it's character-defining (historically or culturally important)," it told Variety.

The time has come to say goodbye to another Netflix series. This time, it's Orange is the New Black. The show announced in a tweet that the upcoming seventh season will be its last, and in a video, the cast members expressed what the show and its fans have meant to them as well as how much they're going to miss it.

Netflix has remained relatively tight-lipped about what the sixth season of Orange is the New Black would entail. It's opening up now that the new season's trailer has arrived, though... and it's evident that tension is the order of the day. The series has the women of Litchfield Penitentiary moving to a maximum security prison following the riot in season five, and they not only have to grapple with the realities of their new locale (including scary inmates and cruel guards), but each other. For instance, they're facing charges in the wake of the riot -- do they turn on each other out of self-preservation, or stick together?

Netflix announced today that Orange is the New Black will return for its sixth season on July 27th. In a teaser for the season, which you can watch below, we see Litchfield Penitentiary in a state of destruction -- a hole in the ceiling, a smoking tear gas canister on the floor, a chicken (the chicken?) in the window -- as a prison bus drives away and a voice over says, "This is a whole new world." It looks like we're saying goodbye to Litchfield.

The next season of Orange is the New Black isn't supposed to premiere until June 9th, but the first episode has already leaked. That's because a hacker or group of hackers going by the name 'TheDarkOverlord stole the content from a third party, and they're demanding Netflix pay a ransom in order to keep the rest of the season private. Late Friday night, TheDarkOverlord tweeted about content belonging to ABC, FOX, IFC and National Geographic, saying "We're not playing any games anymore."

House of Cards isn't the only show Netflix is soon bringing back for a new season. The streaming service revealed today that another one of its hit originals, Orange is the New Black, will be premiering its fifth season on June 9th. Last year, Netflix said the series created by Jenji Kohan would be around for quite a while, after announcing it had been renewed for three more seasons (five, six and seven).

Netflix just announced it is bringing back Orange is the New Black for a 5th, 6th and 7th season. The streaming service's original series, created by Jenji Kohan (Weeds) and produced by Lionsgate, has been a hit since it debuted in 2013. With many award nominations during its first three seasons, including for Golden Globes and Emmys, the decision from Netflix to continue renewing the show isn't a surprise.

Netflix is determined to start 2016 with a bang. As part of a broader premier announcement, the streaming service has revealed that Jessica Jones is getting a second season at some point in the near future. The move isn't exactly shocking given both Netflix's marketing blitz for the show, its critical praise and the need to flesh out the on-screen Marvel universe (there are plans for a Luke Cage series, for instance). Still, it's big news for fans -- the first season drew acclaim not just for its gritty take on a normally squeaky-clean world, but its ability to tackle serious issues (such as abusive relationships and sexual consent) with intelligence.

We were expecting season three of Orange is the New Black to become available for streaming at about 3AM ET tonight, but Netflix surprised everyone and released it at about 9PM. That was during its "OrangeCon" event in New York City for fans, but really raises an interesting question. What if Netflix bumps its all-at-once original series releases from those early morning hours to right in the middle of primetime? There's not much on tonight other than the NBA playoffs, but pulling such a stunt in the think of the fall TV season could be an interesting experiment -- if Netflix ever does it again.

Sure, Netflix's first Marvel superhero series Daredevil premieres in just a few hours, but it has more on the way. The blessing and the curse that is binge watching means each new series drop may only be satisfying for a couple of days (or just one long night), but the streaming service still has quite a packed lineup.

Once upon a time awards shows had sources from a predictable list of sources, but now internet video has crashed the party. When the Golden Globe Awards are presented January 11th, Netflix will be up for seven while Amazon has snagged two nominations for its new show Transparent. The two are even going head to head in the Best TV Series, Musical or Comedy, where Transparent and Orange is the New Black are joined by Silicon Valley, Jane the Virgin and Girls. Last year Netflix broke through with its first win as Robin Wright brought home a trophy for her performance in House of Cards, and now it's back for more. The company's focus on original content is showing (has anyone watched Marco Polo yet?) and Amazon is quickly catching up, while Hulu has... a GIF generator and some episodes of Deadliest Catch. (That was mean, actually we'd keep an eye out for season two of The Wrong Mans December 24th, plus new series from Amy Poehler, J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot Productions and Jason Reitman on the way. Maybe next year Hulu.)

We're still a month out from the next level crazy of Orange is the New Black's second season, but Netflix has already ordered a third. The show's writing team took to Twitter (later confirming with Variety), breaking the news with a picture of possible names for episodes and some are enough to make an Engadget editor blush. "Hot For Janitor," "KIDS: YUM!" and "Et Tu, Luschek" might seem a bit tame, sure, but trust us, there's a reason we didn't embed the picture itself after the break. Considering Netflix called the show its most watched original series ever, the renewal news isn't entirely surprising but it's welcome nonetheless. There aren't any spoilers on the pictured whiteboard (as far as we can tell), so if you click you should be safe for the June 6th premiere, Dandelion.

Should you fancy Piper Chapman's prison-based predicament more than Frank Underwood's political conniving, you're in luck. The second season of Orange is the New Black will hit Netflix on June 6th -- less than a year after the series debuted. As The Hollywood Reporter tells it, Laura Prepon won't return as a regular on the show, but Danielle Brooks (Taystee) and Taryn Manning (Pennsatucky) will. The latter of which should be a clue that Chapman showed at least some restraint during the first season's closing moments. Of course, if you've made it through House of Cards' second season, you're already privy to this info as there's a poster after the season finale. We've embedded a teaser trailer after the break if you're jonesin' for a peek at Crazy Eyes' ... well, crazy eyes.

Tomorrow is Halloween, which means from offices to classrooms, to banks and the streets of your hometown, people will be donning all sorts of costumes. Or maybe Microsoft's Panos Panay, complete with headset and Surface 2? Whatever route you choose, we'd like to see. We'll pick the best and over the next day will pop those onto our Instagram (yes, we have one of those now) and write up our favorites later in the week. The prize? Fame and notoriety as one of the most creative costume geniuses of our times.

After a long holiday weekend we have a few new things to look forward to including NCAA Football 14, season two of The Newsroom and the season premiere of Top Gear. Look below for the highlights this week, followed after the break by our weekly listing of what to look out for in TV, Blu-ray and videogames. The Bridge FX is debuting a new drama this week, as The Bridge follows cops from the US and Mexico on the trail of a serial killer. Similar to The Killing it's a remake of a foreign series, although that one featured Denmark and Sweden. Although AMC's show had its issues, after efforts like The Americans and Wilfred from FX we're willing to give this one a shot. Fans of Showtime's Weeds may be looking forward to it the most, since both comedy-dramas were created by Jenji Kohan. Set in a women's prison, OITNB follows a new inmate sentenced to fifteen months for her part in moving drug money a decade earlier. We'll find out in a few days if Netflix has another hit on its hands, after that the next original series up should be Ricky Gervais' Derek.
