Alright, let's talk about dying lights, grim fandangos and how life is strange. No, not that recent rumor, silly-billy! We're totally referring to this week's new releases on the PlayStation Store, which include Techland's Dying Light ($60), the Grim Fandango remaster ($15) and the debut episode of teen drama Life is Strange ($5). All three of those are on PS4, while you'll also find Life is Strange on PS3 and Grim Fandango on Vita. By the by, Grim Fandango is cross-buy; if you buy it on PS4 you'll unlock it on Vita for free, and vice versa. Meanwhile, Life is Strange won't be available until Friday, January 30.

This week's headline new release on PSN is definitely Saints Row: Gat out of Hell, the $20 standalone follow-up to Saints Row 4. PS3 and PS4 owners can both get their Gat on, but the latter group can also get it in a $50 bundle with SR4: Re-elected. The visually enhanced, DLC-stuffed PS4 version of Saints Row 4 is also available on its own for $30. This week's other big deal is also a remaster, but of a much, much less recent game. The PS4 and PS3 edition of the first Resident Evil brings the S.T.A.R.S. into HD, and at an asking price of $20. Since it's a remaster of the GameCube game, itself a remake, we'll just have to reminisce about the original's memorably awful voice acting.

Today's PlayStation Store update focuses on the rollout of Sony's new games streaming service, PlayStation Now. For a per-game fee (or unlimited access with a pricey subscription) players can reach back into the PS3 catalog and stream previous-generation games directly to their PlayStation 4. According to the PlayStation Blog, the new PlayStation Now service includes "more than 100 PS3 games", including newer titles such as The Last of Us and "old" favorites like Tokyo Jungle. A 7-day free trial is available. Beyond PlayStation Now, new releases are light this week (and non-existent in the land of the PS4). Vita owners have three new games to look forward to: role-playing game Atelier Ayesha Plus ($39.99), the free-to-play mobile port puzzler Fat Princess: Piece of Cake and Joe Danger 2: The Movie ($10.99).

Some six years after it hit retail shelves, you can now download Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots from the PlayStation Store. As such, you can now sort of ruin one of the game's most memorable moments. We're of course talking about that tongue-in-cheek bit about the PS3's Blu-Ray capabilities, which arguably loses its edge when you're not playing from a disc. So, it's another Metal Gear Solid moment that only really works when playing the game in its original form. Not that that's a bad thing. If you don't fancy shelling out $20 on a 30GB-ish download, there is other, fresher stuff on the PS Store. Guilty Gear Xrd Sign is the major new release of the week, and you can grab the fighter for $60 on PS4 and $50 on PS3. Also new on PS4 this week are free-to-play shooter Loadout, Tetris Ultimate ($10), and Super Mega Baseball ($20, cross-buy with PS3)

That scene in The Simpsons? November's new release pile-up is like that, except the games industry isn't about to let up. A glance here should tell you there's still an absolute drove of games waiting to beat us all up before the year ticks over. Brace yourselves, people. This is a particularly games-stuffed edition of our weekly PSN Store updates; there are 13 games out on PS4 alone, including the small matters of Far Cry 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Grand Theft Auto 5 and LittleBigPlanet 3. Since it's so games-stuffed, we're going to take a leaf out of our eShop round-ups and condense all of this week's new releases into a nice, digestible list. You'll find that below the break, complete with links for further coverage as well as SEN store links.

We're knee-deep in silly season, so it was already a stuffed-enough PlayStation Store update. Factor in that we've just had the first Tuesday of November and therefore the PlayStation Plus slew of games, well, we've got a fair bit to get through here. First off, there are the retail releases that get their downloadable accompaniments. That's MotoGP 14 (PS4 $60, PS3 $40 and Vita $30), The Wolf Among Us ($25 on PS4 and Vita), the standalone Toy Box download for Disney Infinity 2.0 ($20 on PS4 and PS3 for a limited time, regular price $30), Rocksmith 2014 ($60 on PS4), and finally the small matter of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare ($60 on PS4 and PS3.) If you've got $100 to burn, you qualify to be a Digital Pro thanks to CoD: Advanced Warfare - Digital Pro Edition. Earning this prestigious title comes with the added benefits of the season pass, a bonus multiplayer map and other in-game goodies.

Though the PlayStation gets the bulk of new additions in today's PlayStation Network Store update, most of the biggest releases are available on multiple Sony devices. Koei Tecmo's musou brawler Samurai Warriors 4 and arcade flyer Race The Sun are now available on the PlayStation 4, PS3 and Vita. Battlefield 4 Premium Edition and Platinum Games' Legend of Korra game adaptation are now available on both PlayStation 4 and PS3. Just Dance 2015 likewise graces both the PlayStation 4 and PS3. Devolver's Shadow Warrior and Season Two of Telltale's The Walking Dead adventure game are now available on PS4 as well. It's a big week for the PlayStation 4, as Sony's newest console adds Alien: Isolation, Driveclub and NBA 2K15 to its complement of big-name game offerings available through the PlayStation Network. The system is likewise well-represented among smaller-scale games, including Dust: An Elysian Tail, Pix The Cat and Spelunky - all of which are available as free downloads to PlayStation Plus subscribers. The PlayStation 3 also picks up Alien: Isolation and NBA 2K15, but the console's most enticing additions are two PlayStation One-era classics: Capcom's 2D action platformer Strider 2 and bizarro cult rhythm hit Vib-Ribbon. Both games can be downloaded for $6. The Vita handheld has received the fewest number of notable additions in this week's PlayStation Network update, but it too now offers access to Vib-Ribbon, as well as Pix The Cat. If your tastes run toward anime-styled action adventures, Bandai Namco has launched One Piece Unlimited World Red - Prestige Edition, an enhanced, content-rich redux of the 3DS' One Piece Unlimited World Red. As with each weekly PlayStation Network update, you can find full details on each of these games, as well as information on how to purchase them, on Sony's official PlayStation.blog. [Image: Sega]

It's time to kick some sheep! FIFA 15 and Team 17's bloody sheep-herding puzzle game, Flockers, are both out on PS4 today, alongside Defense Grid 2 and Castlestorm: Definitive Edition. FIFA 15 is also on PS3 and Vita. PS3 gets the bulk of today's game dump, with Slender: The Arrival, Ar nosurge: Ode To An Unborn Star, Arcana Heart 3: Lovemax, Resonance of Fate and Wall-E, a PS2 Classic game. Joining FIFA 15 on Vita is Arcana Heart 3: Lovemax and Frozen Synapse Prime. Pre-orders for the PS4 version of Sleeping Dogs are live now as well. There's a lineup of Assassin's Creed and Borderlands content on sale via PSN this week, including Black Flag for $32.50 on PS4 and Borderlands 2 for $5 on PS3. This week's PlayStation Store update brings a handful of games to PS4 that began life elsewhere. The future-set strategy game Anomaly 2 arrives ($14.99) after first emerging on PC and mobile platforms, alongside a "special edition" of the originally PS3/Vita exclusive rhythm game, KickBeat ($9.99). Fibbage ($6.99), a local co-op party game that first launched on Xbox One, is also now available for PlayStation platforms. The marquee game of this week's release list is Murasaki Baby ($14.99), a Vita-only platforming title that Sony put in the spotlight during its Gamescom 2013 presentation. A Joystiq review for the game is forthcoming. For more PlayStation Store updates, including details on a number of discounted items across all platforms, check the official PlayStation Blog. Happy Destiny day! You can celebrate by playing Destiny on PS4 and PS3, or by playing NHL 15 on either of those systems. The choice is all yours. Destiny comes in two forms on Sony systems: a $60 option for either PS3 or PS4, and a $90 Digital Guardian Edition that gives you the game across both platforms. NHL 15 is $60 on both PS3 and PS4. Also on PS3 is Mega Man X5 for $6 and Alawar Farm Frenzy Bundle for $6. Pre-orders for The Evil Within on PS3 and PS4 are now live. Plus members can snag that pre-order for $54, rather than the full $60, and there's a Grand Theft Auto series sale happening right now. We're playing a bunch of Destiny this week live on our Twitch channel – catch all of the action here or there. NHL 15 is missing a few fan-favorite modes, and we also have some things to say about that.

Vita gets Don't Starve: Giant Edition for $15, Joe Danger for $11 (free for Plus members), Danganronpa 2 for $40 and Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate for $40. Sure, the PlayStation Network has been updated with a whole host of new games like the neon fest Infamous: First Light, the Necessary Roughness adaptation Madden NFL 15, and a prettier version of what Moscow would like look after the apocalypse in Metro Redux, but clearly the big hit is a demo for NHL 15. Full disclosure, I am in fact a Canadian so my opinion on this matter may be colored, but it's worth giving NHL 15 a shot to check out the franchise's new presentation – even if you have concerns about the final game. Also joining the PSN data center family is both OlliOlli and The Golf Club on PS4, Hyperdimension Neptunia Rebirth1 on Vita and more. For the cross section of Call of Duty and bargain fans, a variety of games and add-ons in the series are on sale. Video games! They've been hibernating through the summer, but this week's PlayStation Store update brings plenty of the blighters onto PS4, PS3 and Vita. Let's start with the biggie, Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition, which brings Reaper of Souls to the action-RPG on PS3 ($40) and debuts the game itself on PS4 ($60). It's also out on Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The two other cross-platform releases are Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, which'll eat up 40 of your greenbacks on PS4 and 30 on PS3, and the stealthy CounterSpy, a $15 cross-buy purchase that unlocks the game ons PS4, PS3 and Vita. PS4 players also have a choice between the hyperviolent $10 Hotline Miami - also cross-buy - the somewhat less violent The Last Tinker: City of Colors ($20) and the retro Arcade Archives Rygar ($8).

This week's PlayStation Network update delivers pre-orders on Assassin's Creed: Unity, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and LittleBigPlanet 3, while also serving as the standalone debut for both Killzone: Shadow Fall Intercept and Ultra Street Fighter 4. Both PS4 and PS3 also get Facepalm Games' clever puzzle game, The Swapper. As we reported last week, the update also brings with it a new round of PlayStation Plus games. PlayStation 4 owners earn access to cross-buy platformer Fez and Road Not Taken, PlayStation 3 owners are granted Crysis 3 and Proteus, and those with a Vita handheld will be granted Dragon's Crown and Metrico. This update also kicks off a sale that reduces the price of the PlayStation 3's Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster from $40 to $20, while discounting the PSP's Persona 3 Portable from $20 to $5.
