The defining use for the Wii Opera browser, is, of course, watching all the insanity of YouTube on your fancy-big TV. The site, however, is not quite conducive to the low-resolution viewing conditions found on the Wii, and is thus rather inconvenient to browse effectively.Enter: SofaTube. A website dedicated to the perusing of not only YouTube but also the Revver library of videos, using a convenient drag-and-drop interface and large text for easy reading. So sit back, relax, and enjoy that Opie and Anthony video one more time ... it's that easy.(That link involves some NSFW and rather gross comedy, though we can't seem to take our eyes off it. Click at your own risk.)[via Joystiq]

The Wii's low-resolution display can make navigating messy sites like YouTube a real pain, but a site called SofaTube (screenshot shown here) might have a solution for you. The site taps into YouTube's sizable video archive and reskins the experience with simplified navigation, oversized fonts, and low pageweight. The redesign should make for a more pleasurable lean-back experience. For those of you who've given it a shot, what did you think of it? Xbox 360 users can forget about tossing back Elsinore brew and jelly donuts while enjoying underage camho dance videos from the comfort of the sofa: you've got no browser! Take off, hosers. If Verizon's walled garden of limited YouTube content isn't enough to get you to shell out 15 bones for the requisite V CAST service, how's about they sweeten the pot with some Revver? A Verizon-exclusive deal with the revenue-sharing video site will see V CAST subscribers getting a selection (yeah, a selection -- as in, not all) of Revver's content, refreshed twice a week and "optimized" for the mobile viewing experience. A new "V CAST Collection" area of Revver's site will give users a sneak peek of what they're going to have access to once they're out and about, to boot. Look for Revver content to go live this month, about the same time as the YouTube goodies.[Via TG Daily]
