Straight from this week's Sony's Gamer's Day comes three beautiful looking shots of the PlayStation 3 version of Rainbow Six: Vegas. We've been waiting for this title for a while, can't wait for it personally. I just hope that they're able to keep the online play as good as the 360's play is. As usual, the screenshots look excellent. Look for this game on shelves on the 12th of June. %Gallery-3242%

Screenshot-tastic. Six new pics of your Home away from home. These include three of the basic apartment and three of the 'luxury' apartment. What exactly you have to do to get the latter is not yet known. Though it seems that Sony are trying to give the impression that a bigger place means more friends. Look how lonely the bloke looks in his basic apartment (also, notice that he's invested in one of those Hover-Bum implants. Lucky sod). Whilst in the luxury apartment there's a veritable party atmosphere. Look how envious Linda Davis is of the host's giant house. Could this be a bit of subliminal commentary on the state of modern culture? Probably not, they're just screenshots. With the details regarding how we obtain more furniture or a bigger place unknown, there's still a danger that there'll be some form of micromanaging going on. The question is, will it use Real Money (TM) or some sort of Home currency? I can't see people shelling out to redecorate their virtual house. Well, not most people. These Home images don't do it for you? We've got more coming later. Keep an eye out! %Gallery-3234%

From SGD '07 we got four new shots of the video game based on Mike Mignola's fantastic comic series, Hellboy. Hellboy himself is looking pretty lean and young in the shots, much younger than in the comic books or the movie. Is it possible that the videogame is a sequel to the movie series perhaps? %Gallery-3229%

New screenies! Pretty ones, at that. I loved this game on the Xbox and I have a feeling I'm going to love it again on the PS3 when it's released on July 3rd. In the meantime, be sure to check out these screenshots for your Ninja Gaiden fix. Including one which shows some Rachel gameplay. Those blood and fire effects look great. I could go on, but I'll let you look at them for yourselves. Enjoy. %Gallery-3230%

Not a lot new here. With the game due for release next month, we've seen a lot of what's to come already. These screenshots show that it's still looking beautiful, as well as showing a good reason not to let a Darkling near you with a chainsaw. But I guess that's common sense. Where are those videos we were promised, hmm? Will you be grabbing this game when it releases?%Gallery-3226%

  • SGD '07: Sony releases latest sales statistics

Sony has just unveiled its latest metrics data for PlayStation hardware and software sales worldwide. Of particular note to avid observers of the handheld console wars is NPD's data on "portable hardware dollars market share" for the calendar year 2006. According to the data (seen above), Sony's PSP system actually beats Nintendo DS by a fraction of a percentage. This makes sense, considering PSP's significantly higher asking price. Although DS clearly has far more units in households, this kind of data proves that Sony isn't out of the game.See even more statistics, after the cut.
