Sure, while some people's real life Spring Breaks have since passed, that doesn't mean you can't celebrate elsewhere. At least, that's the stance Ndoors Interactive's WonderKing is taking, as the game is holding several in-game Spring Break events now through April 7th. If you're a WonderKing player, the big three events to check out are an Easter Day party, the chance to win fashion items and a big Spring Break-style party. Granted, we expect any of you going in will probably just party most of the time. At least, that's what we'd do... Check out the full, official list of events after the break.

"Spring break, baby! Wooo!" "Where are you going?" "I'm heading to the nearest computer to log into Sword of the New World! Wooo!" Or so GamersFirst hopes gamers will say when they hear of Sword of the New World's spring break promotion. Four special deals and events are livening the game up for the remainder of the month and into the first week of April. This includes a hunt for a special four-leaf clover, a new phase of Faction Wars, and -- of particular interest to anyone who plays the game -- a whopping 20% increase in drop rates off of any mobs. Even if you aren't a current player of the game, the combination of these promotions plus the title's free-to-play model make for an irresistible temptation. This comes on top of recent changes to the game and an expansion back in February. Hit the jump for specifics on Sword of the New World's spring break promotions!

Our good friends in Sleeper Cartel over on Perenolde are having yet another server party -- Spring Break 2009 is taking place not in Cabo, but Sholazar Basin! As with all of these player-run events, it certainly sounds like fun: they're planning to have free food and drinks, tournaments, and games and contests of all kinds (last time around, they had trivia contests and scavenger hunts). They're even setting up a "Gnomes Gone Wild" event -- level 1 gnomes are going to be trying to sneak into the party, and it'll be partygoers' responsibility to keep them out.The party starts this Saturday, March 21st, at 7pm server at the River's Heart in Sholazar Basin (you could probably make it there with a DK, or they'll have people summoning as necessary, as long as you send them an ingame mail first). As they say, Kel'Thuzad and Malygos will be there next week -- this Saturday, head over to Perenolde and celebrate Spring Break with the Sleepers.

  • Breakfast Topic: Spring Break!

Next week is spring break at my university. I'm looking forward to a little time off from school. I'll probably spend at least a little of it catching up on World of Warcraft. I'd love to visit someplace warm and lively for the week, but that's just not in the cards. It's amazing how Las Vegas loses its charm once you've lived there for a couple of years. It looks like once again I will be spending my spring break in Azeroth. We asked readers where they would live if they could pick any place in the World of Warcraft in a previous Breakfast Topic. Responses varied from a floating island in Nagrand to Downtown Stormwind City. They all sound like nice places to visit, but I'd hate to live there. I think I would head on down to Stranglethorn Vale for some sightseeing and sunshine. If you could take your spring break anywhere in the game world, where would it be?

We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate a drunken Spring break celebration than by rocking out to a few Rock Band sessions with some friends in Panama City, Florida. And wouldn't you know, we aren't alone. From March 1st through the 22nd, the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort in Panama City along with MTV have setup a Rock Band stage on the beach and in the hotel's Club LaVela's Rock Room inviting Spring break visitors to rock out. Anyone willing enough can take the stage, jam to their favorite tunes and earn Xbox 360 gear as well as hundreds of loyal fans. That is, if you can rock. Also, from March 8th through the 14th, mtvU will be setting up an Xbox 360 gaming lounge at the Boardwalk Beach Resort for Spring breakers to play Rock Band or challenge their friends to a few games of Halo 3. Musical group Bang Camaro will also be holding a concert at the hotel on March 14th. We think it's safe to say that Rock Band is the hardcore partyer's video game of choice. Now drink up and pass the Stratocaster!

Games.net has posted a short video compilation of footage featuring the 5 MUSTS of spring break for gamers. In the party-centric piece, you'll be treated to timely teases from such titles as Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, Outlaw Volleyball, and Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude.Heading to exotic tropical vacation spots for spring break is a rite of passage of sorts for many American college students, but we'd advise anyone considering the trip to avoid getting drunk and doing something you might regret (like appearing in an abysmal production like The Guy Game). Have fun, but just remember: don't do anything we wouldn't do![Thanks, DJ Parker]
