TG Sambo debuts LLUON Kidscom desktop PC
Laptops may be the form factor of choice for kid-friendly computers these days, but there's still some room out there for good 'ol desktops, and TG Sambo looks to have produced a pretty nifty one with its new LLUON Kidscom PC. While there's not much in the way of specific details, the system appears to based on the company's more adult-minded LLUON A1 all-in-one PC, with it adding a touchscreen to the mix, along with the company's own "TG Kids Browser" interface that promises to allow access to a range of educational materials. TG Sambo also looks to have a slightly different model that opts for an even more all-in-one design (pictured after the break), although details on that one are, of course, equally non-existent.[Via The Red Ferret Journal]
Ghostcrawler: Okay with Titan's Grip not being an optional talent
One of the founding points in WoW's talent system, or any game's talent system, is to allow players to customize their characters based on their personal preferences. Want to play a healer with your Priest? Great, here's a few dozen holy talents. Your Paladin needs to crit some face off? Retribution is your key.Within each of these talent trees are many, many choices. And while cookie cutter specs eventually develop, the option is still there to allow for whatever spec or combinations of specs you decide works best for you. The rest of the world be damned, it's your choice.However there are some exceptions to this. These occur in talents that we all need to play, more or less. Or in more specific terms there are talents that the rest of the tree is designed around. One such talent is Titan's Grip, and according to Ghostcrawler Blizzard is okay with that (for now).
Warrior changes in patch 3.0.3
With 3.0.3 going to the live servers today, we have a nice batch of Warrior changes to look at. First and foremost on everyone's mind are the changes to Titan's Grip.Prior to patch 3.0.3 Titan's Grip had a 15% miss penalty. That penalty has been reduced to an astounding 5%. What does this mean? It means that you're pretty much going to hit 10% more then what you used to when you have Titan's Grip talented.10% more means 10% more crits and 10% more yellow damage. Of course, these numbers end up being a bit different in practice than in theory crafting (and some will even correctly say that 10% more chances for damage is an oversimplification - and they would be right, and that's another article), but they're still a good base to look at when talking theoretically about the class.The simple jist of it is Titan's Grip just became a whole lot sexier.Continue reading on after the break for more changes to the Warrior class in 3.0.3.
TG Sambo rolls out web-browsing, T-DMB-packing PMP for Korea
Korean manufacturer TG Sambo has seen a few of its products released 'round these parts, but it looks like that won't be the case with its latest PMP, at least as long as it packs some of that mythical T-DMB mobile TV we keep hearing about. If that doesn't preclude you, however, the unit certainly looks to be decent enough, with it boasting a 4.8-inch WVGA touchscreen, built-in WiFi for some supposedly full-fledged web browsing, 16MB of flash memory, and Windows CE 5.0 for an OS. No word on a price, unfortunately, but you can at least get a good look at its 15mm-thick form factor by hitting up the read link below.[Via Slash Gear]
TG's 22-inch Lluon all-in-one PC heads to Best Buy
TG just announced that this unnamed all-in-one PC is heading for a Stateside retail launch courtesy of Best Buy. There's not a lot to go on here besides a few pics. Nevertheless, a DVD drive, 2x USB and what appears to be a slot for memory cards, mic and audio jacks, and dedicated multi-media buttons adorning the right-side edge. Around back we find Ethernet, a composite video input, and a few more unidentified jacks which might be Firewire and USB. The big mystery here is the price and availability. Then we'll know whether this pup can take the legs out from under Dell, Apple, and even Gateway in the US, all-in-one desktop game. Backside-front pictured after the break.
TG's Favicon PMP / navigator gets priced, even sexier
Remember that elegant looking conglomerate we peeked in December of last year? Turns out, said device finally has an appropriate name and price, but sadly, it still isn't apt to head stateside. Nevertheless, the TG Favicon reportedly features a 532MHz Freescale CPU, TPEG navigation, dual DMB / PIP functionality, 4GB of internal storage space, an SD expansion slot and a 7-inch WVGA display. So, just how much coinage will you be asked to fork over to snag this beauty next time you're in Seoul? Around 422 US dollars, that's all.
TG's LLUON Crystal reminds us that mini PCs can be sexy, too
Sure, manufacturers are stuffing all sorts of great components into inconceivably small cases these days, but all that cramming has still left plenty of room for ugly of late. TG has been honing its skinny desktop form factor for a few years now, and seems to have it down to a science with the latest TG LLUON Crystal. Specs are only so-so, running up to a Core 2 Duo T7200 processor at 2GHz, 2GB of RAM, a 500GB HDD, DVD burner, GeForce 8400 GS graphics and a bit of 802.11g, and the 1,399,000 won pricetag (about $1,490 US) is hardly a steal for this amount of power, but we're just glad that ugly spell is over -- and unsurprised it took a South Korean company to do the trick.[Via Akihabara]
Trigem's El breaks into GPS with style
We're not going to pretend to fully understand the machine translated text we've been given. However, we know this, that's one sexy SatNav and in-car entertainment device for S.Korea up there. In what looks to be TG's first GPS device, the "El" (the "the"?) features dual-channel terrestrial DMB broadcast television, real-time TPEG traffic broadcasting, dual-SD cards for maps and media, an internal battery, and a biggie OLED display for taking it all in. We'll update you with more details as they trickle in.
Averatec's 15.4-inch 8300 gets Santa Rosa'd
Korea's TriGem just made their first trip to Santa Rosa this morning with the launch of their Averatec 8300 laptop. We're talkin' a 15.4-inch widescreen display, 160GB disk, DVD super multi-drive, a 1.3 megapixel webcam integrated into the bezel, and "the latest graphics card." Unfortunately, there's still no official word on the TG website, so let's just assume an HD 2900 XT and be done with it. What?
Touch! Generations brand extending to Wii

Generations brochure. Guess Nintendo is extending their brand to the Wii, which makes sense. The brand has been responsible for getting many non-gamers into the DS, so why wouldn't it work on the Wii? The nature of how we play on that system has been very appealing to non-gamers, so is this brand even needed?Oh, and the only two games they list as being part of the brand are Wii Sports and Wii Play.
