If Rambo: The Video Game's past trailers have you unable to look away, its rampage is set to start in Europe on February 21 for the 360, PS3 and PC, with its North American unhinging following sometime in Q1 of 2014. In addition to assuring yourself a copy of the game on launch day, pre-ordering Rambo will reward you with one of the 3-inch figurines shown above if you go through participating retailers (sorry, United States). No, you cannot just buy the figurines separately. The press release notes that while the game itself is complete, developer Teyon has begun work on "the game's first DLC expansion pack." It sounds like Rambo won't run out of targets anytime soon. [Source: Reef Entertainment]

Gamescom attendees will be the first to sample Rambo: The Video Game, but in the meanwhile we all have some new screens showing off locales from each of the original trilogy, and a new teaser trailer, to check out. Rambo: The Video Game is an FPS that "matches the pace and action set-piece diversity of the films."%Gallery-161723%

Teyon is looking for the best of the best of the people who bought its WiiWare shooting game Heavy Fire: Special Operations. If your Wiimote marksmanship is outstanding enough -- or even if it isn't -- you can sign up for the most special operation of all: the one that gets you 2,000 Wii Points. The three highest-scoring players, and one randomly-selected contestant, will each be awarded 2,000 Wii Points. In order to submit your score, you have to visit the website and input the secret code the game spits out. You have until September 1! For reference, the current high score is 16,570 points.%Gallery-90068%

  • On-rails WiiWare shooter Heavy Fire: Special Operations in (brief) action

Teyon's upcoming on-rails modern shooter Heavy Fire: Special Operations is set to hit WiiWare "soon," but while we wait we can check out the game in action with this brand new trailer. Don't expect a lot of footage, though. While the 43-second long trailer shows off some of the environments, only one bullet is fired throughout the entire video. Not exactly our idea of exhilarating gameplay but we're willing to give Teyon the benefit of the doubt. It did develop Hubert the Teddy Bear: Winter Games after all. %Gallery-90068%

  • 101 MiniGolf World fills a hole in DSiWare lineup

Proving that there really are (really) games being made for DSiWare without "Sudoku" in their title, Teyon has announced 101 MiniGolf World for Nintendo's DSi download service. The game, which gets it name from the fact that it features six 18-hole courses, has yet to be dated -- but at least we can get a look at it. We became excited briefly when the announcement mentioned support for eight players ... until we parsed the next few words and realized Teyon means by passing your DS around. Still, the developer is promising "mind-blowing obstacles, loops, pipes, ramps" and so forth. It would be nice to have a new DSiWare title blow our minds rather than our DSi Points.

This week, we get our first taste of Nintendo's new WiiWare demos. Surprisingly, it didn't take Nintendo that long to flip the switch for North America, considering the company revealed the long-overdue feature -- and day-one annoyance -- only earlier this month. And on top of the free trial versions of select WiiWare titles (five total this week!), there are also two new Virtual Console titles to enjoy, as well as three new DSiWare games. Hit the break for the full list.
