Since we caught wind of the VX8800 and VX10000 superphones coming down Verizon's pike, pretty much anything that starts with "VX" has been getting our hearts racing -- but relax, there's really not much to the VX8350 that would warrant such a reaction. Not to say it's a slouch, either: EV-DO, stereo Bluetooth, microSD expansion, dual color displays with external music controls, and a 1.3 megapixel cam all collaborate to make this sucker a worthy successor to the VX8300 it replaces. Grab it now for a shade under $80 on contract after rebates.

The heir apparent to the VX8300 is coming into full focus now, thanks in no small part to an interactive manual popping up over on Verizon's Testman site. The aptly named VX8350 dispenses of its predecessor's unsightly aerial antenna, replaces the external OLED with a traditional color LCD, and ups the max expansion to a full 4GB via microSD; the external music controls, stereo Bluetooth, 1.3 megapixel cam, and 220 x 176 (blech!) primary display all carry over. phoneArena reports that this one will start to phase in as VX8300 stock depletes, running $79 on a two year contract after $50 rebate.[Via phoneArena]

phoneArena scored a wealth -- nay, a veritable cornucopia of information detailing Verizon's releases for the rest of 2007, and we can say with some confidence that there's something in here for everyone. Starting with smartphones, SMT5800, XV6800, Samsung i760, and Motorola Q9m should hit in October, October, September, and August (yay, this month!) respectively. A second, business oriented variant of the Q9, dubbed the Q9c, will follow on in the fourth quarter. If Windows Mobile ain't your cup of tea, have a gander at the Palm Treo 755p and RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8130 (pictured), both coming in November. There isn't much to say about the 755p that hasn't already been said, but the 8130 is indeed a Pearl of the "new" variety, upping the cam to 2 megapixels while adding A2DP and a 3.5mm jack. Turning to dumbphones, Verizon's got the full spread from low to high end. The Samsung U410, self-branded CDM-8630 and LG VX8350 all appear to be pretty simple flips coming some time this half of the year. The Motorola Z6c looks to be a MediaFLO-less version of the Z6tv slider; the former drops in November while the latter is nebulously scheduled for the second half. Finally, the fancy U700 and U900 flips from Samsung offer 2 and 3 megapixel cams, respectively, and will both be available before the year's out. Whew!

We don't know much about this phone, but we're sure of one thing: we really don't want it to drop in salmon pink. Seriously, this is just about the ugliest FCC ID label document in recent memory. Anyhow, this one will hit with EV-DO and Bluetooth, but we don't know much else; the back of the phone doesn't do much in the way of revealing a form factor -- it could realistically be a slider, flip or a rather wide candybar. Any way you look at it, though, we're going to guess that this one isn't going to bear the same level of chic as its VX8500, 8600, and 8700 cousins.
