Unwilling or unable to wait for the next major trade show (<a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/CTIA/">CTIA</a> in two weeks), LG showed off a king's ransom worth of new devices to a bunch of journos in the Netherlands this week; most of it appears to be pretty low-end fare, but there were a few notables in the lot. First up, the Cookie Music extends the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Cookie/">Cookie</a> brand with Dolby Mobile tech on board (something LG's been doing pretty frequently lately), a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a tweaked design that looks a little more futuristic than Cookies of old. <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Viewty/">Viewty</a> was starting to feel like a forgotten marque, but not so -- we've now got a GT400 Viewty Smile here featuring a 5 megapixel cam and scratch-resistant display. As QWERTY dumbphones go, we'd thought that the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/09/lgs-gt350-makes-the-ks360-look-like-a-punk/">GT350</a> was the <a href="http://www.engadgetmobile.com/tag/ks360">KS360's</a> true successor, but not so -- there's a new KS365 in the mix with revised styling but seemingly very little in the way of upgraded specs. The rest of the lot looks like pretty forgettable stuff -- and seeing how LG operates, they'll all be forgotten and replaced with revised models within a few months' time anyhow. You know, Circle of Life and all.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/10/lg-shows-off-cookie-music-viewty-smile-other-goodies-to-dutch/">LG shows off Cookie Music, Viewty Smile, other goodies to Dutch press</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Wed, 10 Mar 2010 17:19:00 EST. When we hear <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/viewty">"Viewty,"</a> we think expansive touchscreens and ample, high-capability cameras. LG might be a little over-excited to capitalize on the brand's name recognition, though, because that uninteresting <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/GW300/">GW300</a> we showed you a little a while back -- the low-end portrait QWERTY handset with a 2 megapixel cam, quadband EDGE, and a meek QVGA display -- has apparently been slapped with a Viewty badge and quietly released in France with nary a peep out of LG's press offices. As best as we can tell, the company figures customers will stroll into the store, see the phone, think to themselves "holy [expletive], I can get a Viewty for [some ridiculously small amount of euro]?" and plunk down the cash -- but given how the GW300 looks nothing like its brand siblings, we can't picture that happening.<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/handsets/" rel="tag">Handsets</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/lg/" rel="tag">LG</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gsm/" rel="tag">GSM</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/edge/" rel="tag">EDGE</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/08/30/lg-taking-viewty-name-way-downmarket-with-gw300/">LG taking Viewty name way downmarket with GW300?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Sun, 30 Aug 2009 11:37:00 EST. We've yet to see anything roll across LG's official wire, but oodles of legitimate UK sources are now reporting that LG's hotly anticipated <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/04/20/lg-gc900-viewty-smart-now-more-official-than-ever-before/">Viewty Smart</a> is making its way out to Orange shops. Strangely, it seems as if pricing details are still being held captive (really? at this point?), but we fully anticipate at least a small premium for 8 megapixels in a phone. Oh, and if you really needed any more affirmation that a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/20/lg-affirms-that-12-megapixel-cameraphone-is-in-the-works/">12 megapixel smartphone</a> was in the works from this company, LG also took the opportunity to nod its head and promise one for "later this year." After being officially <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/04/15/lgs-gc900-viewty-ii-gets-smart-gets-official/">unveiled</a> (<a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/04/20/lg-gc900-viewty-smart-now-more-official-than-ever-before/">twice</a>) for the European market last month, LG's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/GC900/">GC900</a> Viewty Smart has finally arrived into the loving hands of those at <em>GSMArena</em>. The unit you see above is actually a pre-production unit, but it was baked enough to warrant a full-scale preview until review units start to ship. One of the biggest reveals was this line: "It's not a smartphone or anything, no matter how much we would have liked that; instead, it's a regular full touch feature phone, but one with a really polished UI and top-notch imaging capabilities." Critics spent a good bit of time checking out the still-novel 8MP camera, and while they were generally pleased with image quality and color, they weren't so stoked about the phone's ability to capture video. Overall though, they couldn't help but gush about the "gorgeous display" and "best-of-class user interface," which definitely leaves us even hungrier to wrap our own digits around a finalized unit.<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/handsets/" rel="tag">Handsets</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/lg/" rel="tag">LG</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gsm/" rel="tag">GSM</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/edge/" rel="tag">EDGE</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/hsdpa/" rel="tag">HSDPA</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/05/05/lg-gc900-viewty-smart-gets-coddled-previewed/">LG GC900 Viewty Smart gets coddled, previewed</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 05 May 2009 08:48:00 EST. Put away your <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/09/lgs-gc900-viewty-ii-subjected-to-smudgycam-treatment/">smudgycams</a> and break out your wallets, LG's Viewty II has been given the full studio photo treatment as part of an unveiling at LG's official blog. Dubbed the Smart, the GC900 is just 12.4 mm thick (under a half-inch), packing a 3-inch touchscreen on its face and of course that 8 megapixel camera on the back, confirmed to be able to capture video at 720 x 480 and geotag photos using the integrated A-GPS receiver. WLAN and HSDPA are also confirmed, but that's about all the info LG is setting in stone at the moment -- not that we didn't already know <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/03/lgs-viewty-ii-set-to-take-center-stage-at-cebit/">everything</a> about it. <br /><br /><strong>Update</strong>: Oops! Looks like LG's about to treat the world to an upgrade of its <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/14/lgs-ku990-viewty-reviewed-loved/">popular Viewty handset</a>. The Viewty II (aka, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/03/lgs-viewty-ii-about-to-take-center-stage-at-cebit/">GC900</a>) is rumored to be hitting Orange UK sometime in June. As a refresher, the VII (or juicy 900 if you must) is laden with impressive specs including LG's 3D <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/s-class">S-Class UI</a> riding a 3-inch WVGA touchscreen, accelerometer, and an 8 megapixel camera with xenon flash, manual and auto focus, image stabilization, ISO 1600 support (riiiight), A-GPS geotagging, slow motion video, and even DivX and Xvid playback. <div align="left">We caught wind of the supposed LG <a href="http://www.engadgetmobile.com/tag/Viewty/">Viewty</a> II last week at <a href="http://www.engadgetmobile.com/tag/CeBIT/">CeBIT</a>, though weren't graced with photos til today -- a couple pics actually surfaced in comments, but lacked the xenon flash mentioned in the specs. PhoneArena has thrown a couple pics up of this 8 megapixel set and we're liking what we see: large display, uncluttered layout, and what appears to be a xenon flash. We've already <a href="http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2009/03/03/lgs-viewty-ii-about-to-take-center-stage-at-cebit/">seen the specs</a> so now it's a waiting game as we get set for this to potentially waft our way -- provided it's loaded with bands we can use. <div align="left">We caught wind of the supposed LG <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Viewty/">Viewty</a> II last week at <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/CeBIT/">CeBIT</a>, though weren't graced with photos til today -- a couple pics actually surfaced in comments, but lacked the xenon flash mentioned in the specs. PhoneArena has thrown a couple pics up of this 8 megapixel set and we're liking what we see: large display, uncluttered layout, and what appears to be a xenon flash. We've already <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/03/lgs-viewty-ii-about-to-take-center-stage-at-cebit/">seen the specs</a> so now it's a waiting game as we get set for this to potentially waft our way -- provided it's loaded with bands we can use. Follow the read link for a shot of the other side of the device.</div>

<div align="left">Yeah, we've seen the PR, ogled the specs, but real honest-to-goodness pics are doing nothing but make our grins bigger. <a href="http://www.engadgetmobile.com/tag/KC910/">LG's KC910</a> packs everything under the sun into its newest and flashiest handset, from an 8 megapixel cannon to Dolby Mobile, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, this will be a tough review unit to return if we get our paws on one. Apparently still slated for an October release, we've no word on pricing, but you can expect it to sting dearly off-contract. We'll be following this set really closely, so do swing back and we'll be sure to tell ya what we find out. Follow the read link to get the pics.<br /></div>

LG's cover was blown late last month with the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/08/22/lgs-kc910-takes-over-where-viewty-left-off-packs-8mp-camera/">early unveiling of the KC910</a>, but it's hard to ignore that warm, fuzzy feeling one gets when any outfit doles out the official verbiage as confirmation. The self-proclaimed <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/viewty/">Viewty</a> successor (formally dubbed the LG-KC910) looks mighty fine on paper, with a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen, 8-megapixel camera (with Schneider-Kreuznach certified optics and a Xenon flash), geotagging support, Dolby Mobile, video recording, A-GPS, 7.2Mbps HSDPA and integrated WiFi. Regrettably, LG failed to pass along the most pressing morsel of news (read: the price), but at least we know it'll be available somewhere in the world this October.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.mobileburn.com/news.jsp?Id=5214">MobileBurn</a>]<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/handsets/" rel="tag">Handsets</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/lg/" rel="tag">LG</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gsm/" rel="tag">GSM</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/edge/" rel="tag">EDGE</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/hsdpa/" rel="tag">HSDPA</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/09/04/lgs-kc910-one-ups-the-viewty-ships-in-october/">LG's KC910 one-ups the Viewty, ships in October</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 04 Sep 2008 00:52:00 EST. Nah, it ain't the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/08/20/is-this-lgs-qwerty-packin-prada-ii/">Prada II</a> or anything, but who's to argue with an 8-megapixel camera? You heard right -- LG's followup to the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/viewty/">Viewty</a> is the <a href="http://cn.engadget.com/2008/07/03/lg-8mp-camphone-kc910/">KC910</a>, a touchscreen-based handset that checks in at 14-millimeters thick and supports quad-band GSM / 7.2Mbps HSDPA. Furthermore, you'll find Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi, a 3-inch 400 x 240 resolution display, a microSD expansion slot, Xenon flash (alongside a Schneider-Kreuznach lens), video recording, TV output, a multimedia player (with DivX and XviD support, we're told) and built-in GPS. This feature-packed device is bruited to be on track for an October launch, though we've no idea how costly it'll be (nor what regions it will invade).<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/handsets/" rel="tag">Handsets</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/lg/" rel="tag">LG</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gsm/" rel="tag">GSM</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/edge/" rel="tag">EDGE</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/hsdpa/" rel="tag">HSDPA</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/08/22/lgs-kc910-takes-over-where-viewty-left-off-packs-8mp-camera/">LG's KC910 takes over where Viewty left off, packs 8MP camera</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 22 Aug 2008 08:04:00 EST. That comes after LG moved an impressive 27.7 million handsets in the past quarter, a full third of which were sold in North America. LG is also particularly quick to boast about sales of its pricier touchscreen phones, which totaled some seven million. Among those, the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/viewty">Viewty</a> was the top seller, moving more than two million units, followed by the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/venus">Venus</a> with 1.6 million, and the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/voyager">Voyager</a> with 1.3 million. It's apparently not all rosy for the company, however, with it also warning that the slowing economy could cause its average selling price to fall by 26 percent.<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/handsets/" rel="tag">Handsets</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/07/21/lg-becomes-3rd-biggest-handset-maker-after-moving-27-7-million-u/">LG becomes 3rd biggest handset maker after moving 27.7 million units</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Mon, 21 Jul 2008 16:17:00 EST. If the first thought on your mind when you saw the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/03/13/lg-viewty-now-in-pink-if-youre-in-south-korea-anyway/">pink Viewty</a> was, "man, I wish that came in a darker shade of pink," have a gander at this puppy. LG's 5 megapixel touchscreen masterpiece has reemerged in yet another color -- a straight-up red this time around, where it'll see introduction in Ukraine later this month. That's great, LG, but let's not milk this one too much longer, pretty please? The way we see it, you've got <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/04/24/lgs-5-megapixel-kf750-with-divx-rebranded-secret-shhh/">more important phones</a> to recolor these days.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/LG-Viewty-now-in-Hot-Red-article-a_2852.html">phoneArena</a>]<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/handsets/" rel="tag">Handsets</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/lg/" rel="tag">LG</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gsm/" rel="tag">GSM</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/edge/" rel="tag">EDGE</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/hsdpa/" rel="tag">HSDPA</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/umts/" rel="tag">UMTS</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/03/lg-viewty-now-in-red/">LG Viewty, now in red</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 03 Jun 2008 22:18:00 EST. We liked its Prada forebear <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/14/lgs-silver-prada-gets-a-new-on-screen-qwerty/">in silver</a>. Heck, we even liked <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/03/13/lg-viewty-now-in-pink-if-youre-in-south-korea-anyway/">in pink</a>. But a shocking shade of purple? That might be pushing the limits of decency, even among the most loudly-accessorized mobile maniacs. Alas, Orange is trumpeting the arrival of its "exclusive" purple Viewty, featuring the same 5 megapixel camera, xenon flash, HSDPA, and full touchscreen that made the original a winner. It <em>can</em> be had for as little as zilch on the right contract, so we've gotta throw the question out there: any takers?<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/handsets/" rel="tag">Handsets</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/lg/" rel="tag">LG</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/orange/" rel="tag">Orange</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gsm/" rel="tag">GSM</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/edge/" rel="tag">EDGE</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/hsdpa/" rel="tag">HSDPA</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/umts/" rel="tag">UMTS</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/04/18/lgs-viewty-is-viewtiful-or-something-in-purple/">LG's Viewty is viewtiful, or something, in purple</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 18 Apr 2008 14:42:00 EST. <div align="left">Remember the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/21/lgs-ku990-touchscreen-viewty-is-a-5-megapixel-hsdpa-beauty/">KU990 Viewty</a>? Of course you do, well, meet its twin -- but decidedly duller -- sibling, the KE990 -- notice that E? That means EDGE. This handset apparently brings most or all of the same goods to the table as the KU990 did but lacks HSDPA and dumps tri-band for dual. So yeah, rather than stuffing this thing with another HSDPA band -- ah-frickin'-hem -- LG has chosen to head in another, less interesting direction by stripping it of some of what made it glorious in the first place. Of course, if rumors of it going to China prove true, we get that removing the 3G radio will improve battery life and shrink the price a bit for that market -- as not all markets want that 3G speed -- but this still hurts as we're way cooler with more, better, faster around here. Hopefully we'll hear a little something announced at <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/CTIA">CTIA</a> but until then, we'll simply pretend none of this ever happened.</div>

As nice of a phone as the LG Viewty may be, it gets a little boring in <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/21/lgs-ku990-touchscreen-viewty-is-a-5-megapixel-hsdpa-beauty/">black</a> after a while. Then, another little while after that, it gets boring in <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/14/lgs-silver-prada-gets-a-new-on-screen-qwerty/">silver</a>. It's cool, though, because LG's just released a pink version for its domestic market -- and it can keep doing this all day, if you catch our drift. The company is throwing around the term "Pink Beauty" for this particular version (which seems both appropriate and a little disturbing at the same time) and is targeting it squarely at the fairer sex. A little presumptuous, perhaps? Look for it to start selling tomorrow for 730,000 won (about $752).<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/handsets/" rel="tag">Handsets</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/lg/" rel="tag">LG</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/03/13/lg-viewty-now-in-pink-if-youre-in-south-korea-anyway/">LG Viewty, now in pink -- if you're in South Korea, anyway</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 13 Mar 2008 12:02:00 EST. <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/29/hands-on-with-the-us-nokia-n95/">One</a> 5 megapixel cameraphone not good enough for you? How about <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/10/30/hands-on-with-the-sony-ericsson-k850i/">two</a>? <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/12/10/hands-on-with-the-samsung-g800/">Three</a>? Still not satisfied? Good, because if there's one thing in this crazy world that we can say for certain, it's that there's no such thing as "too many 5 megapixel phones." You've waited oh-so-patiently for LG's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Viewty/">Viewty</a> to land, and you've even tried to subdue your anxiety by combing over a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/14/lgs-ku990-viewty-reviewed-loved/">glowing review</a>, so feel free to cut loose now that the KU990 is finally available. Yep, starting today users can snatch up the mobile in "major European countries" for a still unannounced price, but we're willing to bet you'll pony up for all the joy that touchscreen, five-megapixel camera, DivX support, TV out and HSDPA will bring. Unfortunately, LG fails to mention any specific carriers in its release, but we'd <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/06/lgs-ku990-viewty-gets-a-date-for-uk-release-name-still-awkwa/">assume Vodafone</a> (and potentially Orange in the not-too-distant future) will be picking it up in their respective regions.<br /><br /><strong>UPDATE</strong>: A couple of folks in comments have mentioned that the Viewty is a go on O2.<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/handsets/" rel="tag">Handsets</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/lg/" rel="tag">LG</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gsm/" rel="tag">GSM</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/edge/" rel="tag">EDGE</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/hsdpa/" rel="tag">HSDPA</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/10/24/lgs-ku990-viewty-now-available-in-europe/">LG's KU990 "Viewty" now available in Europe</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Wed, 24 Oct 2007 14:17:00 EST. <div align="left">CNET UK's Andrew Lim had a bit of one on one time with <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/06/lgs-ku990-viewty-gets-a-date-for-uk-release-name-still-awkwa/">LG's sexiest</a> -- yeah, you <em>know</em> we're talking about the KU990 -- and rolled those thoughts into a fairly positive 4-page writeup. The 5 megapixel camera gets top marks -- compares well with <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/29/hands-on-with-the-us-nokia-n95/">Nokia N95</a>, for example -- with a bevy of adjustable settings such as ISO, white balance, image quality, and so on. The high speed video recording can capture at 120 framer per second allows for fun slow motion effects and upload and download of said vids directly from Youtube. The Viewty (we're really having a tough time warming up to that name) also packs other goodies such as a slideshow viewer that shows the "flickable" images scattered on your screen and a web browser that supports full web page viewing <em>a-la</em> Microsoft <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/03/29/microsoft-releases-deepfish-browser-for-windows-mobile/">DeepFish</a>. Seems LG deserves a big sparkly unicorn sticker for this one, as long as the touch screen's quality overhauls its older sibling, the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/18/lgs-ke850-prada-official-iphone-says-wha/">Prada</a>, we're about sold.<br /><br />[Thanks, Leonardo G]<br /></div>

We wanted to get down and dirty with LG's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/03/15/hands-on-with-the-lg-prada/"><em>other</em></a> touchscreen phone -- the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/21/lgs-ku990-touchscreen-viewty-is-a-5-megapixel-hsdpa-beauty/">KU990</a> (AKA the Viewty) -- a 5.1-megapixel cameraphone that also does Flash, but the company's staff would barely even let us get close. It's true: the German showgirls and Japanese press handlers were less than forthcoming with the goods, but after a round of strong drinks and some serious sweet talking, we got to demo some of the phone's functions -- though there appeared to be a lot more lurking beneath the surface. Check the gallery for some "hands-on" action, and feel free to write letters suggesting LG's people to lighten up.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hands-on-with-the-lg-ku990/">Hands-on with the LG KU990</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hands-on-with-the-lg-ku990/#375536"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2007/08/ku01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hands-on-with-the-lg-ku990/#375543"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2007/08/ku02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hands-on-with-the-lg-ku990/#375537"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2007/08/ku03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hands-on-with-the-lg-ku990/#375542"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2007/08/ku04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hands-on-with-the-lg-ku990/#375538"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2007/08/ku05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/handsets/" rel="tag">Handsets</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/lg/" rel="tag">LG</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/t-mobile/" rel="tag">T-Mobile</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/31/hands-on-with-the-lg-ku990/">Hands-on with the LG KU990</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 31 Aug 2007 08:59:00 EST. It's out. LG's newest heartthrob -- the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/ku990">KU990</a> -- is official and on the way to the UK (likely <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/16/more-details-shots-of-lgs-lovely-ku990/">with Vodafone</a>) this fall. The German IFA show at the end of the month will mark its coming out party seeing the KU990 dressed up in a 5.1 megapixel shooter with <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2006/11/09/lg-and-schneider-kreuznach-for-better-cameraphones/">Schneider-Kreuznach</a> lens, image stabilization (likely digital), auto focus, 120fps video, and ISO 800 sensitivity. Sure, the camera is nice and all, but this pup is packing a 3-inch, 240 x 400 touchscreen riding on 3G HSDPA data. Hoozah! With a European launch imminent (Sorry, no Stateside details), the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/search/?q=iphone%20europe">wait for the iPhone</a> is suddenly less of a burden, eh? <br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.akihabaranews.com/en/news-14602-LG+iPhone-clone+Set+for+Fall+Release.html">Akihabara News</a>]<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/handsets/" rel="tag">Handsets</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/lg/" rel="tag">LG</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/vodafone/" rel="tag">Vodafone</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gsm/" rel="tag">GSM</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gprs/" rel="tag">GPRS</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/hsdpa/" rel="tag">HSDPA</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/cdma/" rel="tag">CDMA</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/21/lgs-ku990-touchscreen-viewty-is-a-5-megapixel-hsdpa-beauty/">LG's KU990 touchscreen "Viewty" is a 5 megapixel, HSDPA beauty</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 21 Aug 2007 01:45:00 EST.
