Since it's a fanless machine designed to <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/12/25/msi-teases-wind-top-ap1920-wind-box-de220-and-dc500/">live on the rear of your LCD</a>, you won't be ordering one with a Core i7, but the included Core 2 Duo chip is certainly a step above what's been offered in the past. It's designed primarily to be used as an ultra-low power solution for folks needing to handle the simplest of simple tasks, though the integrated graphics are purportedly capable of HD playback (on a good day). It's packing DVI, VGA and HDMI outputs, six USB 2.0 sockets, a pair of mini-PCIe slots, inbuilt 802.11b/g/n WiFi and a Bluetooth module, but your guess is as good as ours when it comes to price or availability.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/02/msi-windbox-iii-gets-a-bit-more-oomph-still-lives-on-your-lcd/">MSI WindBox III gets a bit more oomph, still lives on your LCD</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 02 Sep 2010 17:02:00 EST. Fortunately, <em>Liliputing</em> didn't; the site's just now putting up impressions and along with it some specs of the novel-sized nettop. It's packing Pinetrail for starters, in the form of a single-core Atom D410 or dual-core D510. Also included are an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330, up to 1TB HDD / 4GB memory, 802.11b/g/n, and Windows 7 home premium. Mum's the word on price or release date, but from what we've seen, you can at least start decorating around its known color options: blue, red, and black.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/01/msi-wind-box-de220-displayed-and-detailed/">MSI Wind Box DE220 displayed and detailed</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Mon, 01 Feb 2010 20:57:00 EST. Over on the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/WindTop/">Wind Top</a> side, it'll be introducing the all-new AP1920 all-in-one PC, which will measure in at 35mm thick and sport an 18.5-inch display, Atom D510 or D410 CPU and a power-sipping attitude. The nettop lovers will be thrilled to know that a new duo of mini PCs will also get unwrapped, as the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/WindBox/">Wind Box</a> DC500 and DE220 step in with Intel's newest <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/12/22/intels-netbook-and-nettop-pine-trail-atom-platforms-explored-b/">Pine Trail</a> processors and a whole slew of companion components that we're still waiting to hear more on. Well, what do you know? Last we saw MSI's Wind Box DE200, it was sittin' pretty at <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/04/msi-showcases-new-blu-ray-equipped-wind-box-de200-we-go-hands-o/">a booth at CeBIT</a>. Evidently it has seen quite the makeover since that debut, with the latest imagery showing it (alongside the DC200) with far edgier enclosures. We have to say we dig the new digs, but we're most excited about the US pricing and pre-order pages. Both units are still (under)powered by a 1.6GHz Atom CPU, and predictably, both feature 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive and Windows XP Home running the show. No firm release date has been nailed down for the US market, but Amazon has 'em both up for pre-order right now at $249.99 (DC200) / $299.99 (DE200).<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.itechnews.net/2009/10/16/msi-wind-box-de200-and-dc200-nettops/">iTechNews</a>]<br /><br /><a href="http://www.msi.com/index.php?news_no=876&amp;func=newsdesc">Read</a> - MSI press release<br /><a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002R5ARV8">Read</a> - Wind Box DC200 pre-order page<br /><a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002R5ARUY">Read</a> - Wind Box DE200 pre-order page<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/desktops/" rel="tag">Desktops</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/10/17/msi-retools-wind-box-de200-and-dc200-puts-em-up-for-pre-order/">MSI retools Wind Box DE200 and DC200, puts 'em up for pre-order</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Sat, 17 Oct 2009 18:03:00 EST. Despite the fact that MSI's Atom-powered <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/01/26/atom-powered-msi-windbox-nearly-ready-to-ride-your-lcd/">WindBOX</a> is <em>meant</em> to ride your monitor while providing all the computing power it can handle, the employees at the company's CeBIT booth felt it more proper in public to simply leave it laying out front. Though we were a touch dismayed, this choice did give us a better opportunity to shoot it from all angles, and we must say, this sucker is pretty thin. We're still hearing that <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/MSI/">MSI</a> is aiming this more at enterprise customers rather than mainstream consumers, but there's nothing you can't buy if you know the right channels. Peep the gallery for more of this awkward, dismounted nettop.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-windbox-dismounts-lcd-acts-all-proper-at-cebit/">MSI WindBOX dismounts LCD, acts all proper at CeBIT</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-windbox-dismounts-lcd-acts-all-proper-at-cebit/#1406686"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/msi-thin-box-pc-cebit-1918_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-windbox-dismounts-lcd-acts-all-proper-at-cebit/#1406687"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/msi-thin-box-pc-cebit-1919_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-windbox-dismounts-lcd-acts-all-proper-at-cebit/#1406688"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/msi-thin-box-pc-cebit-1920_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-windbox-dismounts-lcd-acts-all-proper-at-cebit/#1406689"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/msi-thin-box-pc-cebit-1922_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-windbox-dismounts-lcd-acts-all-proper-at-cebit/#1406695"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/msi-thin-box-pc-cebit-1923_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/desktops/" rel="tag">Desktops</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/05/msi-windbox-dismounts-lcd-acts-all-proper-at-cebit/">MSI WindBOX dismounts LCD, acts all proper at CeBIT</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 05 Mar 2009 07:58:00 EST. Ready for more <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/MSI/">MSI</a>? Good. Just in case the flurry of <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/msi,cebit">other new gear</a> from the company has yet to tickle your fancy, how's about a smattering of all-in-one PCs? The <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/06/msi-wind-neton-ap1900-gets-official-photography-treatment/">Wind NetOn AP1900</a> was on hand in Germany, as was the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/23/msi-showcases-wind-top-ae1900-ae2010-ae2200-touchscreen-all-in/">Wind Top AE1900, AE2010, AE2200</a>. Straight up, we weren't particularly fond of any of 'em, with the enclosures looking downright shoddy from a few feet away. Maybe the design team has been too wrapped up in the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/X+Slim/">X-Slim</a> family to care about these guys, huh? On the plus side, the touchscreen on the Wind Top AE1900 was super responsive, but we know you'll only use it for the first ten or so seconds of ownership before reverting back to the tried-and-true mouse / keyboard tandem. The whole lot is shoved down there in the gallery!<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-wind-neton-ap1900-wind-top-ae-line-eyes-on/">MSI Wind NetOn AP1900, Wind Top AE line eyes-on</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-wind-neton-ap1900-wind-top-ae-line-eyes-on/#1407303"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/msi_nettops_cebit_2172_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-wind-neton-ap1900-wind-top-ae-line-eyes-on/#1407326"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/msi_nettops_cebit_2173_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-wind-neton-ap1900-wind-top-ae-line-eyes-on/#1407332"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/msi_nettops_cebit_2174_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-wind-neton-ap1900-wind-top-ae-line-eyes-on/#1407318"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/msi_nettops_cebit_2175_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-wind-neton-ap1900-wind-top-ae-line-eyes-on/#1407319"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/msi_nettops_cebit_2176_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/desktops/" rel="tag">Desktops</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/05/msi-wind-neton-ap1900-wind-top-ae-line-eyes-on/">MSI Wind NetOn AP1900, Wind Top AE line eyes-on</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 05 Mar 2009 02:56:00 EST. MSI hasn't made a big fuss about it, but the Wind Box DE200 is new for <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/CeBIT/">CeBIT</a> 2009. The unit seems to be the bigger brother of its <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/24/msi-wind-box-dc100-hands-on/">Wind Box DC100</a>, and while we're stoked about the optional Blu-ray player, we're seriously doubting that the listed Celeron M 550 (2GHz) is the only CPU available. The unit also comes loaded with NVIDIA's GeForce 9400M GPU, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, a 160GB hard drive, 802.11n WiFi, HDMI and DVI outputs, Windows Vista Home edition, a multicard reader, audio in / out, Ethernet, a few USB 2.0 ports and an overly glossy enclosure. We've no pricing or release information to share just yet, but you can peek a few more angles down in the gallery below.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-showcases-new-wind-box-de200-we-go-hands-on/">MSI showcases new Wind Box DE200, we go hands-on</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-showcases-new-wind-box-de200-we-go-hands-on/#1407082"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/de200-cebit)2205_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-showcases-new-wind-box-de200-we-go-hands-on/#1407083"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/de200-cebit)2206_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-showcases-new-wind-box-de200-we-go-hands-on/#1407084"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/de200-cebit)2207_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-showcases-new-wind-box-de200-we-go-hands-on/#1407086"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/de200-cebit)2208_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-showcases-new-wind-box-de200-we-go-hands-on/#1407087"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/de200-cebit)2209_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/desktops/" rel="tag">Desktops</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/04/msi-showcases-new-blu-ray-equipped-wind-box-de200-we-go-hands-o/">MSI showcases new Blu-ray-equipped Wind Box DE200, we go hands-on</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Wed, 04 Mar 2009 16:08:00 EST. MSI was showing off its latest <a href="http://engadget.com/tag/windbox">Wind Box</a> at the same pre-CeBIT press event <em>Engadget Chinese</em> caught the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/23/msi-x-slim-x340-hands-on/">X-Slim X340</a> at, and man -- looks like someone at MSI was studying up on the ASUS <a href="http://engadget.com/tag/eeebox">Eee Box</a>. Nothing you don't know about the internals here: 1.6GHz Atom N270, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, same as the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/01/26/atom-powered-msi-windbox-nearly-ready-to-ride-your-lcd/">other Wind Box</a> -- but it's seriously tiny. No word on pricing or a US release date, but we'll keep an ear to the ground. One more shot after the break.<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/24/msi-wind-box-dc100-hands-on/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>MSI Wind Box DC100 hands-on</em></a></p><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/desktops/" rel="tag">Desktops</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/24/msi-wind-box-dc100-hands-on/">MSI Wind Box DC100 hands-on</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 24 Feb 2009 00:51:00 EST. Finally, a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/nettop/">nettop</a> we can really support. Rather than forcing consumers to deal with yet another underpowered box on their desk, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/MSI/">MSI</a> is enabling Earthlings to totally conceal said underpowered box so long as they have an LCD monitor with a VESA-compatible mount. The WindBOX, which actually <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/11/28/msi-unveils-a-slew-of-new-netbooks-and-one-lonely-nettop/">broke cover</a> back in November, is now completely official, and within the slim slab will be a 1.6GHz Atom CPU, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, Intel's GMA 950 graphics set, 802.11b/g WiFi, audio in / out, three USB 2.0 sockets, a VGA port and a 3-in-1 multicard reader for good measure. There's no mention of a price, but it should start filtering out later this quarter. Better tell your LCD to start working out, don't you think?<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/desktops/" rel="tag">Desktops</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/01/26/atom-powered-msi-windbox-nearly-ready-to-ride-your-lcd/">Atom-powered MSI WindBOX nearly ready to ride your LCD</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Mon, 26 Jan 2009 11:27:00 EST. <div align="left">It looks like MSI has been pretty busy lately. We got a good look at the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/11/19/msi-wind-u120-gets-spotted-examined-in-the-wild/">MSI Wind U120</a> about a week ago, and now the company's back with a slew of new machines and we have plenty of details for you to savor. Most notably, the U115 is a 10-inch netbook featuring the Intel Atom Z530 processor, 1-2GB memory, and a hybrid SSD / hard drive storage system. The solid state drive (being smaller and theoretically faster) is meant to contain the OS while the hard drive is to be used for data. The U110 is basically the same as the U115, except it only ships with 1GB memory and there is no SSD included. Also introduced were the U150 (sadly enough with no specs, besides the fact that it also ships with both HDD and SSD storage) and the WindBox, an Atom N270-based nettop designed to be VESA-mounted to the back of your monitor. The WindBox should be available Q1 2009 for around &euro;300. Keep reading after the break for a complete rundown of all the specs.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.pocket-lint.co.uk/news/news.phtml/19580/20604/msi-windbox-eee-box-rival-nettop.phtml">Read</a> - MSI WindBox Revealed<br /><a href="http://www.liliputing.com/2008/11/msi-unveils-new-netbooks-unusual-storage-system.html">Read</a> - MSI unveils new netbooks, unusual storage systems<br /></div>
