[We've got our winner! Congrats to DWells55 and thanks for entering, everyone!]Just like you, we get all sorts of gifts around the holidays here at Joystiq HQ. Probably unlike you, we don't keep any of them (even the good ones!). With that in mind, we've got five days of regift giveaways planned, where you get some free stuff (and we get some of our HQ real estate back). Today's installment: Microsoft's casual grab You're in the Movies, camera and all. Too boring, you say? Fine, we'll throw in this Waring Pro WPM25 Popcorn Maker that Activision and Red Octane sent us to promote their Guitar Hero franchise. Yeah ... we don't get it either. And we figured rather than some random popcorn maker giveaway, we'd thematically pair it with a video game. Relevancy, voila! Here's how you win: Leave a comment suggesting an even more random item Activision could have sent us to promote Guitar Hero ... and the game we'd have to pair it with to give it away. You must be 18 years or older and a resident of the US or Canada (excluding Quebec) Limit 1 entry per person This entry period ends at 8:30 pm ET on Tuesday, December 30th. We'll randomly select 1 winner at that time to receive You're in the Movies (ARV: $60.00) and a Waring Pro WPM25 Professional Popcorn Maker (ARV: $100). Please check your e-mail! You've read the headline and you're probably thinking, "Oh, great. Just what we need. Another article effusing praise for Left 4 Dead. Thanks. Thank you so much." In truth, yes, we're excited that Left 4 Dead is coming out this week, but the reality of the headline is best understood by glancing at the list below. There are twelve, twelve new games being released this week. If that's not enough to metamorphose every respectable gamer into a gibbering, cash-starved zombie, we're not sure what is. Now, if you'll excuse us, we have suddenly developed an irresistible craving for braaains gaaames. As an antithesis to the apathy and snarkasm us bloggers are wont to project, Microsoft has employed Mr. Burt Reynolds to act as a promoter for its upcoming camera-based casuals trap, You're in the Movies. Reynolds will front a series of TV and magazine spots for the game, using "his long and illustrious career as a part of the tinsel town A-list" to explain how jumping into "a magical world of cinema and hilarious improvisations" could possibly be a good idea. "It's great to be able to share some of my experience with everyone about what it takes to be a movie star," says Reynolds out of his own volition and completely detached from any marketing prompts. "You're in the Movies on Xbox 360 allows everyone to have a piece of the action and have a fun time with their friends and family, starring in their own features, from the comfort of their own homes." Expect him to say similar things in the first commercial, which will premiere on VH1 on November 17, 2008.You're in the Movies will be available in a $70 Vision Camera bundle this holiday.

Release details were lacking when, during their E3 conference, Microsoft announced their Vision enabled B movie creation game You're in the Movies. But now, thanks to some Joystiq detective work, we know that the game will in fact be bundled with the Xbox 360's Vision camera peripheral for a B movie price of $60. That said, MS hasn't revealed any details for obtaining the game outside the Vision bundle or whether or not the $40 stand-alone Vision camera will still be available this Fall. Patience as we figure out this You're in the Movies distribution confusion

If you're curious just how much it costs to make a B-movie nowadays you could always risk a fat lip and call up Uwe Boll ... or just talk to the folks from Codemasters and Microsoft, who are releasing You're in the Movies this fall. According to a Microsoft representative, the game is being bundled with the Xbox Live Vision Cam for the not unreasonable price of $60 (remember, the camera is $40 alone). We've asked for information on the standalone SKU and we'll let you know when we hear back.

Scene It: Box Office Smash and You're In The Movies has just been announced exclusively for the Xbox 360. Scene It: Box Offlice Smash continues the movie trivia experience and takes it online. With more questions and mini-games the online experience should be a great addition to the fun party title.Utilizing the Xbox Live Vision camera, players can create short 'B' movies with their families by participating in mini-games that are later combined into a short movie trailer. While it might sound strange, Xbox executives demoed the game live during the conference and it was quite entertaining (as seen above). Both are expected to ship this holiday. As an added bonus, You're In The Movies also includes the required Xbox Live Vision camera when it ships.

You're in the Movies was announced by Shane Kim and Don Mattrick at the Microsoft press conference today. The game will come with an Xbox Live Vision camera, and will place animations and backgrounds around actual video recorded from the camera.Sounds silly to us, but you never know -- maybe some aspiring filmmaker out there will find their medium with a game that can make it look like you're fleeing Godzilla.
