It's crazy enough that AT&T offers Samsung's a737 slider in four wild colors -- red, lime, orange, and blue -- but apparently, that's not nearly enough. Who knew? We've heard that the phone is about to get done up in hot pink, electric blue, white, and purple, so just sit tight if you like the phone but didn't like (inexplicably, may we add) any of the current color choices.[Thanks, Kal]

With a candybar and flip already in its Ultra-esque 3G AT&T lineup, it seemed like it was just a matter of time before Samsung pulled the trigger on a slider, too -- and sho' nuff, here it is. The a737 offers stereo Bluetooth, microSD expansion up to 4GB, HSDPA with quadband EDGE, and a 1.3 megapixel camera complete with Video Share support. At some 15-odd millimeters thick, it packs a little more junk than its a717 and a727 compadres, but at an on-contract asking price of $49.99, we're willing to forgive and forget. Get it starting today in your choice of lime, orange, or blue, all with black accents.%Gallery-9381%

  • Updated AT&T availability dates!

Like pretty much everything else in life, carriers' launch dates tend to slip, sometimes to the extreme (oh, come on, you can't tell us you've never procrastinated to the point where you couldn't make a due date!). To that end, we've gotten an updated look at AT&T's expected drop dates, and it seems like the wait has gotten a little longer for a few of the more anticipated handsets in the pipe. Some devices like the red version of the Nokia 6555 have slipped a couple weeks, while others -- the lowly Samsung A127 comes to mind -- have actually moved up. The Pantech Duo has also been pushed out from October 9 to the 30th, possibly to give the just-launched Tilt a little breathing room in the spotlight. Click on for the full list![Thanks, Kal-El]Update: A second source is telling us that the Duo is still tracking for shipment "on or about" the 9th. Of course, the proof is in the pudding -- but either way, at least we'll be getting our Duo on before the month's out.

  • Samsung's A737 slider for AT&T gets peeped

If there's one manufacturer you can't fault for failing to bring 3G devices to AT&T in full force, it's gotta be Samsung. These guys go all the way back to the very beginning (remember the ZX10?) and have managed to keep a pretty steady stream of handsets in the pipe through to the present day, most recently offering up the attractive (and mighty slim, may we add) A717 and A727. That ain't all for the A7x7 series, though: as we'd mentioned before, there's an A737 in the pipe; since the series already has a flip and a candybar, this one's unsurprisingly a slider. phoneArena's scored an alleged shot of the phone, and although it appears to be a touch thicker than its siblings, that little indiscretion is made good for with an unapologetic red / black color scheme, a QVGA display (so we're told), and very likely HSDPA. No word on an exact release date for this sucker just yet.

  • Some upcoming AT&T launches?

We've received some information detailing phones that AT&T apparently plans to launch in the not-too-distant future; we don't even have dates or prices just yet, but a few of these are juicy enough so that we thought we'd pass it along anyhow. Samsung looks to be launching the A117 "Jayhawk" and A127 "Mbenz" (both on prepaid), the A517 "Lion," and the A737 "Peridot" in metal, orange, and lime. Nokia contributes the attractive 6555 "Inferno" and a refreshed N75 with stereo Bluetooth and a new UI. From LG we get the CU515 "Chiwoo" and CU720 "Saturn," while Pantech brings us that crazy dual slide Windows Mobile 6 device as the C810b. Good times![Thanks, Tasty Thirds]

  • AT&T's busy launch roster (and no, we don't mean the iPhone)

A trusted source has slipped us some 411 that should be music to the ears of anyone on AT&T that isn't getting an iPhone. Believe it or not, AT&T hasn't forsaken you -- in fact, the network's upcoming launches are looking very promising indeed. From Samsung we'll see the A537 "Lion" and A737 "Peridot," and while we don't have any intel on what these might be, the A537 should reveal itself no later than August and the A737 may be an ultra-thin 3G slider to accompany the A717 and A727 flip and candybar. From Motorola, the RAZR 2 V9 is apparently in AT&T's sights -- if you hear AT&T employees discussing "Wildcat," this is the phone they're referring to -- while the V3xx gets yet another color: bubblegum pink. Finally, LG chimes in with the CU575 (a phone we saw way back at Spring CTIA) and the CE110. Stay tuned for details as we get 'em![Thanks, anonymous tipster]
