MSI's traditional <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/ae1900/">Wind Top AE1900</a> -- you know, the one with the white and clear frame -- started shipping here in the US <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/04/20/msis-touch-friendly-wind-top-ae1900-all-in-one-pc-comes-to-us-a/">just over a month ago</a>, but now two new family members are joining in. The AE1900 Black and Dual Core models have just landed down in a handful of respected e-tailers for right around $600, so if you've managed to hold off this long and prefer darker shades of most anything -- well, what are you waiting for? Full release is post-break.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-now-shipping-wind-top-ae1900-black-dual-core/">MSI now shipping Wind Top AE1900 Black / Dual Core</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-now-shipping-wind-top-ae1900-black-dual-core/#2056857"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/06/ae1900_black_msi-big_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-now-shipping-wind-top-ae1900-black-dual-core/#2056856"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/06/msi-ae1900-black-specs1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-now-shipping-wind-top-ae1900-black-dual-core/#2056855"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/06/msi-ae1900-black-specs2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/06/03/msi-now-shipping-wind-top-ae1900-black-dual-core/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>MSI now shipping Wind Top AE1900 Black / Dual Core </em></a></p><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/desktops/" rel="tag">Desktops</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/06/03/msi-now-shipping-wind-top-ae1900-black-dual-core/">MSI now shipping Wind Top AE1900 Black / Dual Core </a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Wed, 03 Jun 2009 18:03:00 EST. <div align="left">Those crazy kids over at <em>Computer Shopper</em> have got their hot hands on <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/AE1900">MSI's all-in-one Wind Top AE1900</a>, and have been cool enough to share their thoughts with us. Sure, the thing is pretty snazzy (if not at all cutting edge, design-wise), and the 1.6GHz Atom CPU means that it's easy on the power use, but the reviewer feels that the $599 price tag is a bit much -- especially since it's outclassed by the similar <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/05/19/dell-studio-one-19-reviewed-deemed-totally-sufficient-but-not-a/">Dell Studio One 19</a> (which'll only run you around $150 more). Other not-so-awesome factors include some seriously weak speakers, the fact that it ships with Windows Vista Basic (sans Media Center), and the Wind Touch software is apparently pretty awkward and counter-intuitive. But who knows? Maybe this bad boy will be right up your alley. Stranger things have happened. Hit that read link and decide for yourself.<br /></div>

<div align="left">MSI's new all-in-one <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/04/20/msis-touch-friendly-wind-top-ae1900-all-in-one-pc-comes-to-us-a/">Wind Top AE1900</a> may look all neat and tidy on the outside, but it's an expectedly different story on the inside, as the folks at <em>Blogeee.net</em> found out when they unceremoniously ripped one apart. Of course, there aren't exactly a ton of surprises to be found, but it does look like anyone hoping to upgrade the RAM may be out of luck, as the standard 2GB of RAM is simply soldered on with no slot provided for expansion -- although there seems to be a bit of confusion as to whether that'll be the case in the actual retail version, or just this early version sent out for review. Hit up the read link below for a closer look.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.eee-pc.de/2009/04/29/schauen-wir-uns-den-msi-windtop-ae1900-von-innen-an/">Eee-PC.de</a>]</div>

MSI's eco-friendly Wind Top AE1900 has already been <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/31/msi-officially-launches-the-touchscreen-wind-top-ae1900/">formally introduced</a> and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/05/msi-wind-neton-ap1900-wind-top-ae-line-eyes-on/">spotted over in Hanover</a> earlier this year, but the outfit notorious for withholding price and availability information until the last possible moment has finally let loose those very details. The 18.5-inch all-in-one PC is available with an Atom 230 or 330 CPU, a 1,366 x 768 resolution touchscreen, integrated GMA950 graphics, 2GB of DDR2-533 RAM, a 160GB or 250GB hard drive, 4-in-1 multicard reader, dual-layer DVD writer, WiFi, gigabit Ethernet, a 1.3 megapixel webcam and audio in / out sockets to boot. Two configurations are available (both are shown after the break), with the lesser of the two going for $529.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msis-wind-top-ae1900-all-in-one-pc/">MSI's Wind Top AE1900 all-in-one PC</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msis-wind-top-ae1900-all-in-one-pc/#1504813"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/04/msi-wind-top-ae1900_05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msis-wind-top-ae1900-all-in-one-pc/#1504814"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/04/msi-wind-top-ae1900_07_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msis-wind-top-ae1900-all-in-one-pc/#1504819"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/04/msi-wind-top-ae1900_3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/04/20/msis-touch-friendly-wind-top-ae1900-all-in-one-pc-comes-to-us-a/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>MSI's Wind Top AE1900 all-in-one PC comes to US at $529</em></a></p><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/desktops/" rel="tag">Desktops</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/04/20/msis-touch-friendly-wind-top-ae1900-all-in-one-pc-comes-to-us-a/">MSI's Wind Top AE1900 all-in-one PC comes to US at $529</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Mon, 20 Apr 2009 13:00:00 EST. <div align="left">We caught sight of <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/05/msi-wind-neton-ap1900-wind-top-ae-line-eyes-on/">MSI's Wind Top AE1900</a> back at <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Cebit/">Cebit</a>, and now it's been officially launched. The nettop boasts a 19-inch 16:9 LCD, an Intel Atom 230 CPU, up to 2GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive. It's also got a DVD burner, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, WiFi, four USB ports, and a 4-in-1 card reader. MSI claims that the AE1900 uses only about "45 watts of power while in full operation," which, if true, would indeed make it one of the more energy efficient PCs on the market. We'll just have to wait and see on that though, as there's no word yet on availability or pricing. <br /></div>

Ready for more <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/MSI/">MSI</a>? Good. Just in case the flurry of <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/msi,cebit">other new gear</a> from the company has yet to tickle your fancy, how's about a smattering of all-in-one PCs? The <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/06/msi-wind-neton-ap1900-gets-official-photography-treatment/">Wind NetOn AP1900</a> was on hand in Germany, as was the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/23/msi-showcases-wind-top-ae1900-ae2010-ae2200-touchscreen-all-in/">Wind Top AE1900, AE2010, AE2200</a>. Straight up, we weren't particularly fond of any of 'em, with the enclosures looking downright shoddy from a few feet away. Maybe the design team has been too wrapped up in the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/X+Slim/">X-Slim</a> family to care about these guys, huh? On the plus side, the touchscreen on the Wind Top AE1900 was super responsive, but we know you'll only use it for the first ten or so seconds of ownership before reverting back to the tried-and-true mouse / keyboard tandem. The whole lot is shoved down there in the gallery!<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-wind-neton-ap1900-wind-top-ae-line-eyes-on/">MSI Wind NetOn AP1900, Wind Top AE line eyes-on</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-wind-neton-ap1900-wind-top-ae-line-eyes-on/#1407303"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/msi_nettops_cebit_2172_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-wind-neton-ap1900-wind-top-ae-line-eyes-on/#1407326"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/msi_nettops_cebit_2173_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-wind-neton-ap1900-wind-top-ae-line-eyes-on/#1407332"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/msi_nettops_cebit_2174_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-wind-neton-ap1900-wind-top-ae-line-eyes-on/#1407318"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/msi_nettops_cebit_2175_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/msi-wind-neton-ap1900-wind-top-ae-line-eyes-on/#1407319"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/msi_nettops_cebit_2176_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/desktops/" rel="tag">Desktops</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/05/msi-wind-neton-ap1900-wind-top-ae-line-eyes-on/">MSI Wind NetOn AP1900, Wind Top AE line eyes-on</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 05 Mar 2009 02:56:00 EST. Those sexy <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/23/msi-x-slim-x340-hands-on/">X-Slim X340s</a> weren't the only computers <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/MSI/">MSI</a> was showing off ahead of <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/CeBIT/">CeBIT</a>. The company also had on display three new Wind Top all-in-one desktop computers: the 19-inch AE1900, 20-inch AE2010, and 22-inch AE2200, each with touchscreen display. As for specs, here's what we know: the AE2010's running on an AMD 780G chipset with Athlon 1.5GHz, 2GB DDR2 RAM, DVD burner, and 1600 x 1900 resolution. We also spotted an Intel logo on the AE1900's placard and Windows XP on its screen, but other than that, we're pretty much in the dark here. With the Hannover conference just around the corner, here's hoping that shroud of mystery is promptly lifted. Check out a pic of the AE1900 after the break.<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/23/msi-showcases-wind-top-ae1900-ae2010-ae2200-touchscreen-all-in/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>MSI showcases Wind Top AE1900, AE2010, AE2200 touchscreen all-in-ones</em></a></p><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/desktops/" rel="tag">Desktops</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/23/msi-showcases-wind-top-ae1900-ae2010-ae2200-touchscreen-all-in/">MSI showcases Wind Top AE1900, AE2010, AE2200 touchscreen all-in-ones</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Mon, 23 Feb 2009 23:41:00 EST.
