Don't fret, shooter fans. You won't be squinting at small screens or fumbling with poor controls as you try to play Firefall on your phone. No, when we say mobile, we mean a rolling LAN party designed by West Coast Customs. Red 5's Mobile Gaming Unit is a 48-foot-long gaming center on wheels, featuring "an aesthetic design pulled straight out of Firefall's sci-fi world." The MGU is slated to tour America later in 2012, bringing with it top-level e-ports play, and of course, Firefall brand awareness. Anime Expo 2012 will be the site of the MGU's official reveal. If you'll be in the Los Angeles area between June 29th and July 1st, stop by and have a look. [Source: Red 5 press release]

David Hayter spoke rather candidly about playing the role of Snake in the Metal Gear series this weekend at Anime Expo. Hayter has made it clear that he'd want to write the Metal Gear movie script, and he's expressed some of his criticisms of the series' storyline. Thankfully, Zac from Kotaku has captured a majority of the panel through shaky-cam. The first series of videos can be seen above -- the rest at Kotaku. For any Metal Gear fan, hearing the famed voice actor speak so bluntly and freely will come as a refreshing treat.

Want to get your hands on Bangai-O Spirits before its August release? Then head on over to California and go to this year's Anime Expo. Not only will you get to play this gem of a game, but the entire DS Fanboy staff will envy you for your hands-on Bangai-O experience. Another DS game that will be playable is, of course, Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2. Would you really expect the orange-clad Ninja not to make an appearance? So, if you plan to stop by the Expo, make sure to check out D3 Publisher's booth (901) for some fun times on the DS. Gallery: Bangai-O Spirits Gallery: Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2

We don't know exactly what part Atlus played in the development of the Turbografx-16 mascot game, but their name is totally on the title screen, so we're totally making the suggestion to you! Should you happen to attend this year's Anime Expo event in Long Beach, California, you can take part in an Atlus costume contest! As Bonk, obviously! The company will hand out mysterious prizes to the person with the best costume based on an Atlus character. The convention runs from June 29th to July 2nd, so you'd better start sewing that singlet! All of the Bonks, and other attendees, will also get a chance to see upcoming games at a panel discussion on Sunday, July 1st. You could go as the doctor guy from Trauma Center, or even, we guess, a character from a game that's not on the Wii, but trust us on this one. Giant-headed caveman trumps anime doctor every time.[Via GayGamer]
