    Archaeology has been subject to some considerable improvements in Mists of Pandaria. For starters, you now get six digs at any one dig site, meaning artifacts complete faster, and leveling the profession is therefore faster. I've also heard of various other improvements that have been applied to Archaeology in Pandaria, but, alas, I have no Archaeologist characters with a sufficient level to do any Archaeology in the new continent. A lot of players have messaged me asking about Archaeology addons, thanks for your emails as ever. Chief among the addon requests are the following: A way to track dig sites and suggest progress between them A way to track progress on artifacts by race A way to track each artifact's fragments A way to see if artifacts can be completed with keystones A way to see which artifacts are still out there, undiscovered or incomplete An addon to replace Biasha's Archaeology Helper I'm going to do my best to deal with all those queries in this week's column.

    If you use Google Drive and want a lightweight Mac client to view and manage your Drive files, then you should check out Archy. Archy sits in your menu bar or dock and gives you one-click access to all your documents stored in Google Drive. From the app, you can easily preview your files, organize them into folders and download them to your hard drive. Archy also lets you see the current sharing options for files and allows you to share documents with other people from within the app. If you want to edit a document, Archy will open it in Google Drive using your web browser by default. You can also choose an app to open a Google Doc file, which is useful for users who have the iWork apps or Microsoft Office installed. Archy's strength is its simple and elegant interface, which makes it easy for you to glance at a Google Drive file without logging into your Google account. [It's bound to look familiar to anyone who uses the Twitter app for the Mac, for instance. –Ed.] Its features are similar to Google's Drive app for the Mac, but Archy is less intrusive because it works off your online Drive directory and doesn't place a folder on your hard drive. Archy is currently in the beta phase and available for the public to download from the Archy website. Because it's a beta, there are a few areas that need some polishing, but the overall experience is particularly good. If you're a Google Drive user, you should give it a whirl. #next_pages_container { width: 5px; hight: 5px; position: absolute; top: -100px; left: -100px; z-index: 2147483647 !important; }

    Each week, WoW Insider brings you a fresh look at reader-submitted UIs as well as Addon Spotlight, which focuses on the backbone of the WoW gameplay experience: the user interface. Everything from bags to bars, buttons to DPS meters and beyond -- your addons folder will never be the same. This week, tol'vir rares never drop for Mathew, even though Mathew is a good boy who doesn't kill level 23 worgen while doing archaeology. Okay, I lied. Now that archaeology has been buffed to a certain degree with new tol'vir digsites and a lower cooldown on Survey, it's time to get a little addon-serious about the secondary profession. A few weeks back, I talked about one archaeology addon that took some of the interface away for me, because it was a three-click pain in the butt to get to the artifact counter. Now, with the recent changes, that isn't the case. In that time, however, loads of new tools have come to the forefront of the archaeology community. Read on for archaeology made easy.
