WoW Moviewatch: The Ballad of the Noob
The Ballad of the Noob was suggested to us by Sarah Nichols. Because this is an old, old video, dating way back to 2006, it's fairly reasonable that many of our current readers have never seen it, which makes it an especially great recommendation. Sure, the video isn't a snazzy as a lot of current stuff. The vocal performance, however, is absolutely fantastic. The story is simple and easy to follow. A noob is cruising Elwynn when he encounters a high-level Horde player. The Horde player makes a deal; if the noob can win a duel, the Horde player will give up all his gear. This is the kind of high-quality storytelling we don't see enough of. Thanks to Sarah for the great reminder. Interested in the wide world of machinima?
