We've been looking forward to the first HD release of Disney's classic Bambi and its Second Screen app for some time, but after watching the Academy Awards presentation we've pushed something else to the top of our list. 127 Hours didn't actually win any awards on Sunday night, but it was nominated enough to make us take notice and add it to our queue -- not at the top though. Also of interest this week is two more 3D titles, but we have to admit we only find these two interesting because there aren't enough 3D titles for us to get picky. 127 Hours (Fox) Bambi (Disney) Burlesque (Sony) The Cable Guy (Sony) Daughters of Darkness (Blue Underground) Dinosaurs: Giants of Patagonia 3D (Image) Faster (Sony) Genius Within: The Inner Life of Glenn Gould (Lorber) Love & Other Drugs (Fox) A Marine Story (Wolfe) Michael Jordan to the Max (Lionsgate) Out of Sight (Universal) S.W.A.T.: Firefight (Sony) Scooby-Doo!: Curse of the Lake Monster (Warner) The Ultimate Wave Tahiti 3D (Image)

Disney's officially put a date on the Diamond Edition release of Bambi, which will arrive March 1, 2011 in Blu-ray/DVD combo pack edition HD download, or SD download -- DVD only packages arrive April 19th. There's plenty of exclusive Blu-ray features, including never before seen deleted scenes, 7.1 audio track, a deleted song, a peek inside Walt Disney's meetings where the concept of the film came to be, and an interactive game. The biggest addition is that this disc will debut Disney's new "Second Screen" feature on computer or iPad which promises to sync with the film and pull in even more interactive features. It sounds similar to Universal's BD Touch apps, but we'll have to wait and see exactly what it brings to this classic flick next year.

Just in case you didn't get a chance to see the trailer for The Lion King on Blu-ray last time it's now posted on Disney's official YouTube channel, along with another one touting the spring Diamond Edition release of Bambi. As usual, these flicks will only be out of the Disney Vault for a limited time so plan your preorders carefully, the trailers are embedded after the break.

Just as it does every Saturday, our weekly podcast went live over the weekend, and the recording of the show is now up on the WoW Radio website for listening. Michael Gray joined us for the first time on the show, and Turpster was aboard for the ride as usual. We chatted about a lot of the most popular stories from the last week in Warcraft, including: Answering lots of emails -- during the show, some kind folks started up a We Love Turpster group on Facebook (and WoW Insider is on there as well), and we also tried yet again to eradicate the legendary missing show, episode 23. Downranking also got a revisit, with a look at how healers use it specifically. We talked about the pre-Wrath content patch 3.0.2, and what surprises we saw in there that we thought would be in the expansion release. Michael spoke with us about Bambi showing up in Northrend, and why people were so fascinated by this critter's story. He also talked with us about his series of interviews with high-end Arena players, and the trends he's seeing among the high level Arena play. And finally we talked a little bit about the tech of the game, including the new phasing technology, and how/if we'll see graphical updates come to the game in the future. It was a pretty packed show -- if you listened to the live feed, you know we had a little streaming problem in the beginning, but don't worry, because the recording is complete, so anything you missed then you can hear now. Additionally, if you hear anything that inspire you to write to us, please do: the email is theshow@wow.com. Additionally, you can also look us up in iTunes -- if you haven't written a review of the show there yet, please do, as we're always hungry for feedback.Enjoy the show, and we'll see you next week.

Perhaps the vagaries of reality have finally taken hold and you've done it. You've canceled the WoW account. Now you're back together with the Mrs., you've re-memorized all your kids' names, and you've got something that approximates steady work. Life, it would seem, is perfect. Then you heard the siren call of Wrath of the Lich King and – what is this? – you shut it out. Fine ... be strong. But can you shut out the opportunity to drive your Sword of a Thousand Truths deep into the spotted fur of Bambi's mother? Sure, you cried during Bambi like everyone else did, but can you really resist transforming sweet, innocent Bambi(na) – spotted in Wrath's Northrend – into the crazy-eyed "Vengeful Bambina"? Blizzard's hoping you can't. But what if the kids see what you've done? You'll lose it all! Again! [Via WoW Insider]

var digg_url = 'http://digg.com/pc_games/Bambi_s_pwns_in_World_of_Warcraft_expansion'; This post contains spoilers about Wrath of the Lich King. Before the cut, the spoilers will be mild. After the cut, the spoilers will be complete, and more powerful than you could possibly imagine. (Well, more than you could imagine if you don't check out behind the cut.) One of Blizzard's hallmarks in the World of Warcraft has long been the subtle digs and nods to pop culture. These Easter Eggs can bring a lot of fun, though I know some folks feel the little references ruin their immersion. I kind of like them, and still giggle this day about the idea of purchasing Gigantique bags from Haris Pilton while avoiding her spectral friend. This new one, lurking mildly in Northrend, made me giggle a bit in delight, though. One might even say, I muttered a faint "Squee!" Go behind the cut and see the latest easter egg in Wrath ... if you dare!
