It's time for the second batch of Final Fantasy XI classes to be examined under a set of criteria that have absolutely nothing to do with their actual power level. (Those change too often, and frankly I've never been a fan.) The first time around, we took a look at the three physical classes, who generally scored... all right, but not great. Each one had a clear area of expertise and some serious weaknesses in other areas -- which makes sense, being as they're starter classes. The casters, on the other hand, are a different story. Sure, Warriors wind up later being an ur-type that gets distilled into several other roles, but most of the casters retain their uniqueness far later in the game. So let's take a look at your other three options when starting a new character in Final Fantasy XI, all of which have the same last name.

You see, when you attack in FFXI, it locks you into a slow walking animation. Grouping in FFXI takes so very long, that often times when you get a group together one or more of the members have to leave for some reason or another.

StephaniePrice, the Craftster who created the beautiful Mario mushroom quilt, is at it again. Or, more precisely, she was at it twice simultaneously and has just now gotten around to posting the second quilt. This time, it's a Final Fantasy-themed creation featuring the iconic Black Mage. We love gamer quilts for the obvious reasons: we like games, and sometimes we get cold. Big pixels translate perfectly to squares of fabric, as well. We would be happy to pack something like this to keep us warm on some kind of major quest we were undertaking, although about the most epic quest we ever have is navigating the bedroom in the dark without busting our feet.[Thanks, Mary!]
