San Diego Comic-Con International has begun to release its program of events for this year's convention. Blizzard Entertainment will once again have a presence at the convention as well as a panel with Chris Metzen himself. The panel, titled Blizzard Entertainment Showcase, takes place Thursday, July 24 from 2:15-3:15pm in Room 6BCF. Attendees looking for expansion information should take note that this is a panel about Blizzard merchandise and licensed products. While it may include some new information on upcoming projects, there likely won't be a lot of talking about game development -- but the panel does include a Q&A. However, attendees looking for other Blizzard information would do well to hit up Hall H on Saturday, July 26. Legendary Pictures will be presenting a panel featuring their upcoming slate of films in Hall H from 12:25-1:10pm. Last year, Director Duncan Jones made a brief appearance at the convention to show off what he called a "mood piece" for the upcoming Warcraft film. Filming for Warcraft officially wrapped in May of this year, which means that attendees at the panel may very well see more than just a brief glimpse of Warcraft. Fans looking for Blizzard on the main convention floor can head to booth 115 for Blizzard Entertainment. At the moment, there still isn't an official schedule for any signings that might take place at Comic-Con. Given last year's list of notable names, we should see an official announcement regarding potential signings and other pertinent Comic-Con info soon.

Blizzard is once again making an appearance at San Diego Comic Con, and this year, they have some fantastic goodies going with them. The Blizzard SDCC exclusive line includes a completely adorable Nether Faerie Dragon plush toy, a Whimsyshire Treasure Goblin plush toy, a Funko Pop! Vinyl Primal Kerrigan, and a Cute But Deadly Cloaking Zeratul. There will also be a number items that debut at SDCC, but will become available on the Blizzard gear store after the convention--including a minature zergling plush keychain, and a plush Hearthstone (yes, a Hearthstone) with light and sound effects. The bad news is that none of the exclusive stuff will be available outside of SDCC. The good news is that recolored versions will be available for sale to the general public on the website. I won't repeat the sound I made when I saw the plush Faerie Dragons, but it was somewhere in the range of a squeal. I may not be able to get my hands on the SDCC version, but whenever the regular colors show up online, that thing will be mine. For those of you headed to SDCC, I hope you have a good time, and good luck grabbing one of these limited edition Blizzard goodies!

After a couple of months on hiatus, the Blizzard online store has re-opened its doors as Blizzard Gear. Not to be confused with the digital-only Battle.net Shop, the Blizzard Gear store is where you'll find the usual assortment of shirts, posters, plushies, and other Blizzard memorabilia. There's also a new section titled Caverns of Time which sells leftover items from past BlizzCons. Perhaps most relevant to WoW players is the ability to get your hands on a physical authenticator once again, which is available in a few different flavors. According to their shipping page, they will ship most of their products to a number of countries outside of the United States. You can visit the Blizzard Gear store here.

Looking for the perfect WoW-themed hoodie, t-shirt, cap, or accessories? If you've recently given up on finding what you want, it might be time to give J!NX another look. They've got a selection of new, never-before-seen stock for Blizzard games that could well be worth a look. In addition, pre-orders are open for the upcoming Horde and Alliance themed track jackets, which I think look pretty slick. Lastly, there are also new t-shirts available featuring some of the classic art from Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo II. If you've always wanted something featuring the games of times gone by, now's your chance to pick one up, whether you remember playing them the days they came out or if you're newer to the charms of our digital predecessors. Happy shopping!

If you're headed to the San Diego Comic Con this year, make sure to take time for Blizzard! The official blog has just posted the schedule of events for SDCC 2013. Blizzard will be located at booth #115 this year, and will have plenty of books for sale right along with the merchandise we saw previewed last week. Along with the Blizzard booth, the Funko Booth (#5343) will have the Shadow Illidan figure for sale, Sideshow (#1929) will have a fully painted Diablo statue on display as well as a first look at Deathwing, and Insight Editions (#1134) will be holding a daily random drawing to give away a copy of The Art of Blizzard, as well as showing off spreads from the upcoming Diablo: Book of Tyrael. Of course SDCC is all about the panels -- there will be a Blizzard Licensing Panel from 2:15-3:15 pm in Hall 6BCF on Thursday, July 18. At the panel, Chris Metzen and a variety of guests will be talking about upcoming licensed products and plans for 2013/2014. This is your chance to get a sneak peek at what's on the horizon for Blizzard entertainment -- and there will be a Q&A during the panel as well. If you're planning on attending the panel, one word of advice: Arrive early. It fills up fast! In addition, there will be book signings galore all throughout the convention itself, including Mike Stackpole, Micky Neilson, Sean Galloway, Chris Metzen, Mike Costa, Wei Wang, Glenn Rane and more! For the full schedule of events and signings, check the official website -- all events should be in the official schedule for the convention itself as well.
