BlizzCon store updated with new merchandise
For all you BlizzCon attendees and Virtual Ticket holders who may have been dallying over whether or not to buy any con merch, there are now a load of new items to tempt your wallet, and a few popular existing items have been restocked. The new options include several Diablo-themed skateboard decks, a truly precious Zergling T-shirt, and the Blizzard 2013 Key Art T-shirt. The Key Art is particularly interesting, for a few reasons. First of all, it's been released prior to the convention itself. In previous years the Key Art has been withheld because it was totally spoiler-riffic -- think BlizzCon 2011, where it featured a panda, and thus wasn't released until after the announcement of Mists of Pandaria. This year's art, however, features front-and-center one very angry-looking Garrosh Hellscream (or what we assume is Garrosh Hellscream). Considering the Diablo and Starcraft art portions both reference known upcoming releases: Diablo: Reaper of Souls, and Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void, I think it's safe to say that the Key Art confirms that WoW's next chapter will feature as BlizzCon's main attraction. But beyond that, we don't really know. It honestly raises more questions than it answers, and makes me even more intrigued to find out what Blizzard has next in store for World of Warcraft.
Post-BlizzCon 2011 Store sale starts Nov. 11
BlizzCon 2011 ... remember that? It was that time when Fogs of Black and White Bears was announced, or something like that. There was also this meetup where a bunch of people got together and drank and hung out while talking about WoW at the Anabella. That was cool. What is also cool (in the way of cold, hard retail steel shelves)? The BlizzCon 2011 Store! And now, you'll get an opportunity to order from it again starting at 10 a.m. PST on Friday, Nov. 11, ending at 10 a.m. PST on Friday, Nov. 18. To order from the BlizzCon Store, you must have purchased a DirecTV ticket, been subscribed to the live stream, or be the purchasing Battle.net account for actual BlizzCon tickets. Beginning Friday, November 11 (rescheduled from the originally announced date of November 4), we're making select items from the BlizzCon 2011 store available once more to those who joined us for the show in person or via the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket. Beginning November 11 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time through November 18 at 10 a.m. PT, BlizzCon 2011 ticket holders*, Virtual Ticket buyers, and DIRECTV viewers who ordered the BlizzCon 2011 Pay Per View event will be able to purchase select BlizzCon 2011 store merchandise online (while supplies last). To participate, simply log in to the online Blizzard Store using the Battle.net account associated with your BlizzCon ticket or Virtual Ticket during the sale times listed above. BlizzCon 48-hour presale now active
Blizzard is offering those who bought BlizzCon 2010 tickets, even DirecTV virtual tickets, the opportunity to buy exclusive BlizzCon merchandise online for 48 hours this weekend. This sale was delayed until Sunday, Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. PST. As of now, we can confirm that this sale is now active. You can buy the items by going to the Blizzard Store and selecting More Products. Good luck getting your items! Edit: Only Battle.net accounts that were used to purchase tickets are able to see the sale. Virtual ticket sales are on Wednesday.
BlizzCon store's 48-hour online pre-sale
If you've ever been to a convention and seen all of that wonderful swag, you've also seen the lines to procure that wonderful swag. It's annoying to wait in a line for an hour just to buy a T-shirt that you can only get at that venue. Blizzard is bypassing this issue by allowing anyone who has purchased a BlizzCon ticket to grab those unique merchandise items ahead of time and online. No fighting over the last murloc head can cozy or Raynor onesie for your child, just simple online transactions with the goods being shipped directly to your home. This is only for people who have actual tickets to the event. Anyone with a virtual ticket will have to wait until the 13th to get in on their own 48-hour sale. If you don't fall into either of those groups and still want to get in on the swag, then you need to go buy your virtual ticket before 11:50 p.m. Pacific on Oct. 10 to qualify for the sale or you're out of luck. To participate, log in to the online Blizzard Store during the sale hours using the Battle.net account provided when you purchased your BlizzCon 2010 ticket (viewable in the buyer's Order History), and head to the More Products section. BlizzCon online store now open
This year's BlizzCon 2009 is just a tad over two weeks away, running August 21st and 22nd. We're expecting lots of big announcements this year, and the WoW.com staff is preparing to cover the event from top to bottom. One nice thing about this year is that we won't be waiting in line for any of our merchandise, at least anything that has to do with the current games.Everything is available for the next 48 hours to be purchased through the Blizzard Store. If you have a ticket, the original ticket buyer with the Battle.net account must go into the store and order the items. If you don't have a ticket or are not the holder of the Battle.net account which purchased the ticket, you're probably going to have a hard time seeing them, so we've made a gallery of the item listing for your enjoyment.While there's a few things that are unique to BlizzCon in the store, there's nothing really amazing, in my opinion. What I really want is a poster or shirt of the next expansion, and I'm not surprised it isn't in there. BlizzCon pre-sale starts Wednesday
If you were lucky enough to go to last year's BlizzCon, you'll know that the lines for the shop were insanely long. People stood for hours in them waiting to get their merchandise. That meant a lot of time away from all the rest of the exhibits, and a lot of frustration if you just gave up waiting in line for three hours.This year things are being done a bit differently, in that you'll be able to preorder all the stuff you want and have it shipped right to your home. There are a lot of special BlizzCon only items, so it's worth taking a lookThe pre-order online sale will begin this Wednesday at 10:01 a.m. PDT / 1:01 p.m. EDT. It will last for 48 hours, which means it ends on Friday at 10:01 a.m. PDT / 1:01 p.m. EDT. If you know what you want to buy before you get to BlizzCon, take advantage of this and do it now. Blizzard unveils the BlizzCon store
The 2008 BlizzCon is coming rapidly, and with it, of course, comes exclusive BlizzCon swag. In addition to the goody bag, the BlizzCon store will also be open for business, and Blizzard's previewing the loot you can buy. Among the highlights: You may remember that the goody bags will come with either an inflatable Frostmourne or an Inflatable Paladin-in-a-Bubble. Luckily, if you don't get the one you want, you can buy it at the store. Alliance and Horde T-shirts A talking Pandaren bottle opener. The hardcover version of the WoW comic. Arthas' Helm. A WoTLK cinematic book. There will be lots of Diablo 3 and Starcraft II loot as well, including posters, stress balls, and t-shirts.
