Up for auction on eBay at a starting price of just $275, is a custom made, expertly detailed and almost deadly replica of a Halo 3 Brute Spiker. It's being made available just in case someone has to exterminate Covenant forces on the home turf. The quality of the Spiker looks to be on par with the props WETA creates, seeing that it's cast in urethane plastic, uses real leather, boasts shiny LED lights, features a worn paint job and has shaped aluminum blades that are "pointy but not sharp." Even though we prefer sharp objects and think Halo's "can opener" (aka the Brute Mauler) would be more fun to wield, the Spiker can dish out pain and is almost worth the requested cha-ching.[Via halo.bungie.org]

For those who have a few thousand dollars scattered around the house or lying in a shoebox behind the nightstand, you should totally check out the Halo 3 Brute Spiker prop that's up on eBay. The Spiker, as seen in the "Two Soldiers Reminisce" BELIEVE commercial, comes with a certificate of authenticity, is absolutely lovely and with a starting bid of $3,500 ... it better be. So, if you have the cash or are expecting to receive inheritance money soon, make a bid, help UNICEF and get some kind of tax write-off in the process. Never have we felt so much love for molded fiberglass, resin and styrene plastic ... yummy Spiker![Thanks, Adam]

Not only do we love our driftwood, but we like it all the more when it comes in the shape of items from the Halo universe. If your memory serves you well you'll know that this past January we told you about a piece of driftwood that looked eerily similar to that of a Brute Shot. Today we bring you more driftwood, but in the shape of the new Halo 3 Spiker! We aren't going to speculate on how such a masterpiece was produced by nature, because it just isn't necessary. We all know that the ancient Forerunners buried this masterpiece on Earth so someone would find it just in time for a Halo 3 release this Fall. Though, we're still waiting on the energy sword driftwood to float down the river ... maybe this spring.[Via HBO]
