Zynga buys social games developer Challenge Games
Zynga makes FarmVille, which, in turn, makes it a lot of money. Today the company announced that it has used some of said moolah to purchase Challenge Games, a social games developer in Austin, TX. The exact amount of simoleons it cost Zynga to do so wasn't disclosed. Challenge Games, which created and operates two Facebook games, Warstorm and the disturbingly titled Ponzi, will henceforth be known as Zynga Austin, joining the company's studios in Baltimore, Bangalore, Beijing, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Zynga will continue to run both Challenge Games ... games, and probably wants you to stop reading this and get back to playing FarmVille right about now.
