Patch 3.1 achievements round up
Everybody loves achievements, right? ...no, I guess not. Some people like achievements, right? Yes! Patch 3.1 brings a lot of cool stuff for you guys to do as well, so here's all of it in a nice little package for you to pick through. Have fun! There's already a few people ready to pick up the Insane title, but we'd like to assume most of you are slightly less insane. Only slightly. For you guys, we have a get to completing Insane in the Membrane. As of today, the Black and Plagued Proto-Drakes are gone for good. A batch of brand new achievements have been added to the Noblegarden event, which has been extended to a week and will begin on April 26th. Note that you will need these for What a Long, Strange Trip Its Been. We've posted an early version of Ulduar's achievements, too! Chef de Cuisine is getting a bit easier for Alliance players. They can get their hands on Dig Rat Stew on their own now! In exchange, Lil' Game Hunter is becoming easier for the Horde. Enjoy your Sprite Darters and Westfall Chickens! The Argent Tournament has a load of its own achievements as well. If you enjoyed this stuff, keep an eye on our achievements column, The Overachiever. We'll probably be going over a lot of this, especially the Noblegarden and Argent Tournament achievements, in the coming weeks. Patch 3.1 is live and it takes us into Ulduar, delivers us dual specs, and brings significant changes to all the classes! New Cooking recipes coming in patch 3.1
I was excited to hear the other day that leveling cooking will be a little easier, as more recipes are likely to go grey a little later, but Bornakk has more good news for cooks after patch 3.1. He confirms that new recipes are going in as well, and he can think of two off of the top of his head (so hopefully we'll see even more than that).That will, as he says, make the Chef de Cuisine achievement that much easier as well -- it'll probably still be a pain, but at least there'll be a few more options to pick up new recipes. And I'm curious to see what the new food does, too: I like cooking the usual stat food as much as the next culinary expert, but I'm almost more interested in the fun stuff like Last Week's Mammoth (what a bummer) and the good old Delicious Chocolate Cake. Those cosmetic items make cooking much more fun than just the usual stat buffs that most food give.So we'll keep an eye out for new recipes. Completists will have at least two more to grab with the new patch.
Well Fed Buff: Delicious Chocolate Cake
Well Fed Buff serves up tasty dishes to boost your HP, stats and appetite – with that special WoW twist, of course. Are you happy? Are you so happy that you're Very Happy? You would be, if you had some Delicious Chocolate Cake. This cake is so fabulous that it's even listed by The Chocolate Cake Church. And now, this delectable delight is your ticket to some very tasty achievements, in game with the Echoes of Doom (patch 3.0.2). Make this cake out of game, while you make this cake in game – you can have your cake and eat it, too. When Delicious Chocolate Cake was introduced a year ago, nobody could figure out what the one-hour Very Happy buff was all about. For a while, it rumored to increase xp gain. Players eventually determined the effect was simply a vanity buff, including a few happy-fun fireworks, a smoke rocket and the infamous one-hour Very Happy buff. But the cake is not a lie. User Snuggly over on wowhead.com points out that Delicious Chocolate Cake, which can now be purchased from Misensi in Dalaran for three Dalaran Cooking Awards, is a necessary ingredient for quite a few achievements.
