Keepin' it real fake, part XLIII - Samsung YP-K5 + LG Chocolate = CMtech K7

It wasn't long ago we asked what if LG's Chocolate was an audio player, but now we're back to ask what if LG's Chocolate had an ill-fated Romeo and Juliet-romance with arch-rival Samsung's YP-K5? You might wind up with a lovechild somewhat similar to CMtech's conveniently named K7, a 4GB player (with FM radio) that loses the K5's girthy speaker, and adds karaoke support with TV-out.

CMTECH's CA-C265, an inspiration to boring DAPs the world over

Most everybody else is trying to figure out how to ape the iPod or build practically useless wireless functionality into their audio players, but CMTECH doesn't seem to have gotten the memo. It's just plugging away at its line of moderately cute but ultimately boring DAPs, and the new CA-C265 is no exception. The unit features a 1.2-inch LCD, which can double as a minuscule text viewer, along with FM radio, voice recording and line-in. As for price or availability, we're just as in the dark as always, but capacities for the flash player hit at 512MB, 1GB and 2GB and we're not expecting anything astronomical for cost.
