While I've had many great first days in MMOs (and only a couple of nasty ones, surprisingly enough), the one that always sticks out as a seminal moment in my gaming life was my first day in World of Warcraft. I picked a Dwarf and so ended up logging into Coldridge Valley. It was hard to believe that after a lengthy development process that I was actually in the game. I remember spending almost 20 minutes just absorbing the look of everything and fiddling around with the UI. The remainder of my first day was spent enchanted with the ease of combat, the cool details like my Dwarf's breath puffing out in the wold, and the general atmosphere of the game. I think I knew right then that MMOs were going to be the way of my gaming future. Whether it was WoW for you or something else, what was the best first day you've ever had in an MMO? And keep in mind that it doesn't necessarily have to be the first day of a game's operation, just the first day you tried it. Every morning, the Massively bloggers probe the minds of their readers with deep, thought-provoking questions about that most serious of topics: massively online gaming. We crave your opinions, so grab your caffeinated beverage of choice and chime in on today's Daily Grind!

This article has been brought to you by Seed, the Aol guest writer program that brings your words to WoW Insider's pages. Editor's Note: This post contains spoilers for the upcoming Cataclysm expansion. Read at your own risk! The upheaval in the snowy lands of Dun Morogh has been more political than geological, but there's quite a fair amount of new material for those rolling a brand new dwarf or gnome in Cataclysm. Starting Zones Coldridge Valley and New Tinkertown The dwarven starting zone hasn't changed much physically, but the troggs are more aggressive now, so there's no time for placid mail delivery quests. But there's always time for beer! Eventually, you kill a troublemaking fire elemental that seems to quell the threat here, but an untimely cave-in forces you to forego the tunnel and take an airlift to Kharanos instead. (Alas, this detour bodes ill for the popularity of the famous Dwarven Demolition Team.)

Pure Pwnage and ROFLMAO Productions released a special video to let their viewers know it's Christmas Time in Dun Morogh. They're reminded of the early days of leveling in scenic Coldridge Valley, where there's always snow. As they reminisce about quests, they introduce you to some old friends. Along the way, they find romance and kill bunnies.Forgive me for being sappy, but the music was great. If you were as distracted by the sweeping shots as I was, Pure Pwnage has kindly posted the lyrics to the song. Combined with the visuals, it made for a humorous, yet romantic take on Christmas in WoW.[Thanks, Ash!]Previously on Moviewatch...
