Retailer-specific costume packs will be awarded for pre-orders of Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate in Europe, Tecmo Koei has announced. GAME has "a colorful pack" of costumes for Kokoro, Lei Fang, Hitomi and Mila, while Amazon will hook it up with costumes for female ninjas Kasumi and Ayane. Other retailers will offer a six-outfit collaboration to cover Christie, Helena, Tina, Lisa and new combatants Momiji and Rachel. Tecmo Koei did not share any images of the garb in question alongside the press release, which we've tucked past the break. We've also inquired about North America details and will update this post when we hear back. Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate launches on September 3 for the Xbox 360 and PS3; a free-to-play version called Core Fighters is "planned" for simultaneous launch on PSN. Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate includes additional fighters, a variety of costume DLC from the original Dead or Alive 5 as well as content found in the PS Vita port, Dead or Alive 5 Plus.

Once more, with feeling! Guacamelee's first DLC pack is available in North America again following its initial problematic launch earlier this month. Europe and the rest of the world can go clothes shopping tomorrow. The Guacamelee Costume Pack, which costs $1.99 (€1.59/£1.25), includes three different costumes: the Pollo Luchador, a chicken suit that restores health over time; the Skeleton suit, an undead garment bestowing infinite stamina; and the Identity Swap outfit, which increases strike damage at the cost of throw damage. These outfits also accompany a series of new DLC-related Trophies.%Gallery-192400%

Raiden's cybernetic digs from Metal Gear Solid 4 will be available as a day-one dose of downloadable nostalgic costume content for both Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Konami has announced. The suit, originally revealed as a Japanese promotional/pre-order bonus early last month, will cost $1.99 when the game launches this Tuesday, February 19.Costumes based on the Metal Gear mythos are becoming somewhat of a theme, as a Grey Fox/Cyborg Ninja costume is also available to those who pre-order Rising at GameStop. Personally, we think the game could benefit from the addition of Raiden's Metal Gear Solid 2 suits, both "Sneaking" and "Birthday."

Dante's new look is about to get even newer, and by "newer" we mean "old again." Capcom has revealed DmC's first batch of costume DLC over on its official Japanese website, with Dante's DMC3 coat and hair arrangement featured front and center. The costume pack, which hits Japanese PS3s and Xboxen on January 30 for ¥400/320 MS Points respectively, also includes a fancy blue coat and an outfit not tremendously unlike the one worn by Derelicte fashionista Derek Zoolander. When asked when the pack would be available in North America, a Capcom representative had no more information to offer. Until then, we recommend dressing yourself up in whichever outfit from Dante's past you most prefer.

The latest slew of DLC costume packs for Dead or Alive 5 includes one awesome thing (above), some normal-lookin' street clothes and then a whole bunch of stuff we'd be embarrassed to describe in public."Kitty Pack," as you might suspect, includes cat ears and corset-ish catsuits for Christie, Helena, Tina and Lisa. The "What a Character" pack adds two maid outfits for Hitomi and Mila that are more of the "Octoberfest Bar maid" variety than the "French House maid" type you might expect, a slinky gown and mask for Lisa, and "bartender britches" for Rig.Lastly, the "Special Set" gives Kasumi and Leifang access to their traditional overalls and panda-bear outfits, respectively, in addition to "fiend" Hayabusa and an even slinkier evening gown for Lisa. Each pack is available now for $4.99/400 MSP, and all three can be purchased together via the "Round 2 Costumes - Full Set" pack, which at the moment is only available on the 360 for 1040 MSP. PlayStation 3 owners looking for a sweet costume discount will have to wait until next week, when the Full Set becomes available for $12.99.%Gallery-168484%

  • Most LittleBigPlanet costume DLC to become cross-platform, only require one purchase

Most costumes purchased for use in LittleBigPlanet and LittleBigPlanet 2 will not only be compatible with LittleBigPlanet Vita and LittleBigPlanet Karting, but users will be able to transfer the DLC for freezies, in both directions. This means that purchasing a costume once will grant the use of those threads in all four games. Not all costumes will be available cross-platform at launch, and neither Assassin's Creed costumes nor the April Fools Fragrance costume will be available on Karting, but the rest of the DLC will eventually come to all four games.Since dressing Sackboy up as a Disney princess or indie darling is very nearly as much fun as actually playing a LittleBigPlanet game, we'd imagine this news would be music to the ears of anyone whose nights are filled with costume changes, accessorizing and Ben & Jerry's. Not that we would have any personal, first-hand knowledge of that sort of thing. Nope.
