Dauntless caught the attention of many gamers in May, when it hit early access on PS4 and Xbox One (a Switch release is planned for later this year). It's one of the first titles to offer cross-platform play across those consoles and PC, and the servers were overwhelmed with people trying to check out the free-to-play RPG. Just a few months later, Phoenix Labs is bringing Dauntless out of early access with the biggest update to the game so far.

The launch of Phoenix Labs' co-op hunting RPG Dauntless was such a huge success, the developer has announced that the game attracted 4 million players in just a couple of days. In fact, the game drummed up so much interest that Phoenix Labs had a hard time keep up with demand. According to Destructoid, some players had to wait for up to three hours to get in, though the developer has already started working on a solution to reduce those lengthy queue times.

Detroit: Become Human, Beyond: Two Souls and Heavy Rain are all making their way to PC for the first time in 2019 through the Epic Games Store. To date, the games have only been available on PlayStation 3 and/or PS4. The Quantic Dream titles are a bit of a coup for Epic as it takes aim at the likes of Steam, though Epic had plenty of other news about its store at GDC, including a Humble Bundle partnership and deals for upcoming games.

Star Trek Online fans are eagerly -- and anxiously -- awaiting information about the new Tier 6 starships coming with next month's Delta Rising. Cryptic is beginning to roll out ship details and specs by listing four of the Delta starships in a dev diary today. The Federation will get the new Guardian cruiser, a very durable and flexible ship that can convert enemy fire into a weapons boost, and the Dauntless experimental science vessel, which can project fake copies of the ship to fool enemies. Over on the other side, the Klingons will enjoy the Mat'Ha Raptor, a vessel with an insane amount of firepower. Finally, Romulan characters can snag the Aelahl Warbird Battlecruiser, which can throw out a collapsing singularity for fun and horrible consequences. These starships will be sold on the C-store and accessible by players level 50 and above.

Ahoy Captains, an overhaul of high levels ships will take place in the next Pirates of the Burning Sea (1.6) patch build. Also, you may see some never before seen ships on the waterways as eleven new ships will deployl. The ships setting sail are: Archelon, Cyclone, Dauntless, Mastercraft Couronne, Mastercraft van Hoorn, Monarch, Treason, Cruizer, El Dragon, Minerva and Trinidad. In the latest developer log on the official PotBS website an explanation is given for these changes and the new ship additions. It's stated that a huge power gap between a level 50 in the right equipment versus other high level ships. To bridge this gap without nerfing the best ships in the game the stats on other high level ships will be boosted. This rebalancing act also presented the opportunity to add new ships. Captains should be wary. Your ship is always at risk from being hit with a stealth nerf when balancing occurs at a large scale. The ships and ammo change list is available after the cut, and there is a discussion taking place on the PotBS forums.
