More and more people are joining the action-packed DC Universe Online beta all the time, as Sony Online Entertainment continues to ramp up testing (and stress testing) before the game's launch. For those of you who haven't had the chance to play the game as yet, not only do we have this great screenshot showing off a hero and her inspiration, but Larry and I will be livestreaming DC Universe Online today on the Massively TV channel as well! Today's One Shots from DC Universe Online comes to us from Arborhawk, who says only: "Here's my character with her hero and inspiration. Got to love a girl with a mace!" If you've captured a heroic or villainous image of your character, we'd love to see it! Just email it in to us here at oneshots@massively.com along with your name, the name of the game, and a description of what we're seeing. Please make sure your image is at least 1024px wide and has as few visible UI elements as possible. You never know -- yours could be the next one we post here on Massively! %Gallery-85937%

With the NDA down on DC Universe Online, lots of people are starting to talk about their experiences in the beta. Case in point -- Larry's great overview of the game that we published yesterday! I've also been playing through DC Universe Online for quite some time, and being a total DC Comics freak, I couldn't resist sharing one of my own screenshots from the game on today's One Shots. This image features my fire/dual-pistols character who has been patrolling the dangerous streets of Gotham at the request of Batman. Personally, I love getting to spend time with characters that I've read so much about over the years. It's especially cool when you can look up and see the bat-signal over the city! Are you taking part in the DC Universe Online beta? Would you like to show off a screenshot of one of your favorite areas or standing next to one of your favorite characters? We're on the lookout for lots of heroic images. Send yours in to us here at oneshots@massively.com along with your name, and a description of what we're seeing. (If you're sending in a screenshot from another game, please be sure to tell us what game it is!) We'll post it out here and give you the credit for sending it in. %Gallery-85937%

The DC Universe hype machine is in full swing, what with this week's partial NDA drop and the steady stream of information flowing out of Sony Online Entertainment pertaining to the superhero title. To that end, game director Chris Cao narrates the latest DCUO video, which focuses on physics and physics-based combat. Note that when Cao says physics, he's talking more comic book and less Stephen Hawking, and the two-minute short does a good job of demonstrating the possibilities generated by what SOE is calling the MMO genre's first fully integrated physics system. Whether you're looking to encase your enemies in blocks of ice and toss them out of the fight, or use them as a frozen weapon to bludgeon any nearby baddies, it's all doable according the video. Check it out on the official DCUO Facebook page.

SOE has taken the wraps off another iconic villain in DC Universe Online via a new screenshot gallery. This time around the subject is one of the original internet tough guys: Johnathan Crane, also known as the Scarecrow. Crane suffered through an awkward childhood as a result of his uncanny resemblance to Ichabod Crane, eventually parleying his academic brilliance into a position of some notoriety at Gotham University. After a series of unethical experiments involving his students and the nature of fear, Crane was dismissed by the university board of regents. His fall from grace lead to prolonged episodes of psychosis and gave birth to the Scarecrow, a straw and sackcloth-wearing villain who preys on the fears of his enemies using a variety of psychological and chemical weapons. Check out all the new screens in our gallery below. %Gallery-106037%
