Garmin says the Forerunner 35 will last up to nine days in smartwatch/activity tracking mode, but battery life will vary widely based on how you use the device.
Best Buy's deal of the day discounts Gran Turismo 6, Saints Row 4
Best Buy is featuring discounts on two games as part of its sales for today only. Saints Row 4 is 40 percent off ($29.99) for both Xbox 360 and PS3, saving players $20 on the game's list price. Those that pick up the Xbox 360 version may want to act fast to get the game's season pass at a discount through Xbox Live, a separate deal that started yesterday. Additionally, Gran Turismo 6 is 33 percent off ($39.99) at Best Buy today. By comparison, Saints Row 4 is currently 33 percent off ($33.49) on Steam, a deal that lasts until January 2. The PC version of the game is not part of Best Buy's sale.

Nothing says happy holidays in PlanetSide 2 like a brand-new gun to blow the opposing factions to smithereens! PSA: Amazon video game Gold Box Event coming Tuesday
Like a stealthy jungle cat patiently waiting for its tired, limping prey to drop its guard, so too does Amazon's devious sales engine stalk the emaciated husk of our post-December wallet. Its latest attempt at snaring our monetary entrails, an all-games Gold Box Event, will begin at 3 a.m. Eastern time on the morning of Tuesday, February 19.We won't know exactly what said Gold Box Event's Lightning Deals or Deal of the Day will consist of until Tuesday. In the meantime, Amazon has also marked down a sizable number of games and accessories as part of its Winter Deals sale, which includes Halo 4 and a year of Xbox Live Gold for about $40 each.

Amazon's "Gold Box" of limited-time deals is offering exclusively video game related offers today, starting with an all-day discount on a 320GB PS3 system. It's currently $259.99, only $10 more than the version with a 160GB hard drive, making you a complete fool if you buy the 160GB one today.Other deals include Army Corps of Hell for $30 (going on right now), and offers on PS3/Xbox headsets, Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games, and UFC games. Amazon is once again filling its "Gold Box" with game-themed "Lightning Deals," two things that don't sound like they'd go together at all.In practice, however, it means you can get The Old Republic for $40 all day, and a series of other deals throughout the day, hints for which can be found after the break. Right now, through 11am EST (or until supply runs out), you can get Army Corps of Hell for $30. Outside of the Lightning Deals, you can also save on a large assortment of PC download games -- including the new Darkness II for $25.

Once again, Amazon is offering an all-video game Gold Box, which is a kind of treasure chest that makes you progressively poorer as you rifle through it. Today, as the Deal of the Day, Amazon is offering some of Mad Catz's well-regarded arcade sticks for both PS3 and Xbox 360, at the discounted price of just $59.99 each. In addition, the company's fighting game-centric pad controllers are also on sale for $29.99. There's just one small caveat: They have cartoon wrestlers all over them. The specific controllers offered are the "BrawlSticks" and "BrawlPads" produced for WWE All Stars, and thus bear the stylized likenesses of two massive and oiled WWE stars, The Rock and Triple H.
