OK, this is kind of a goofy hypothetical, but let's just go with it for a minute. What if, instead of being limited to playing one MMO for the rest of your life (the desert island scenario), you could only play one studio's MMOs for the rest of your life. In this scenario, you would have at your disposal all of the games that this one particular studio makes and will make, but no others. And publishers don't count (unless the studio also publishes). There are a few things to consider here, such as the studio's current line-up, how long you think the studio will last, and the depth and breadth of the studio's MMO library. SOE would probably be my pick here just because I don't think that studio is going anywhere, it has a wide selection, and there are a couple of big titles on the horizon. What about you? If you could only play one studio's MMOs forever, which one would it be and why? • The Daily Grind: What MMO would you bring to the proverbial desert island?

So let's pretend you're stuck on a desert island. You're stocked up on snacks and sunblock. You've got a gaming rig and internet but no conceivable way of contacting anyone to come save you (work with me here). And let's pretend you managed to bring just one single MMO with you to this magical island that lets you play MMOs but not communicate the fact that you're stuck on, you know, a desert island. Would you hedge your bets and go for a sandbox with a boundless amount of content? Would you pick something you've never played to minimize the been-there-done-that factor? Would you pick a classic themepark and set yourself to grinding up a thousand alts? You only get one, so choose carefully: What single MMO would you want handy if you were stranded on a desert island? A few days ago, 1up was asking readers about their "desert island game". You know the scenario, you've probably done this with friends before. It's usually books or CD's or movies, but 1up's article got me to thinking. Let's say you're stuck in a desert island, you have a gaming laptop powerful enough to play WoW well, and have rigged up solar power and wireless internet. Unfortunately, for the sake of our conversation, your internet and power only work to get your laptop playing WoW, no other outside communication, and you inexplicably forget to ask your guildies to send a rescue plane to your island. Oh, and your account is free. Hmm, come to think of it, why would anyone WANT to leave this situation?? Great weather, we'll pretend there's ample food, and all the WoW you can handle! It's like a little gamer's paradise there, just hanging out, getting tanned, swimming with little Nemos in the nearby offshore coral reef, finding new and interesting ways to cook fish in coconut milk. Wait, where was I? Oh yeah, so you're on this island, with your WoW laptop and all that goodness, but you can only bring 1 addon/mod with you (no compilations). What would your addon/mod be, and why?
