The votes are in and our Game Night game has been chosen. We'll be meeting up in the same room as last week, at the same time. All of the details, including the results of the poll determining what game we'll be playing tonight, are after the break.

Another night of successful gaming action as we got our frag on with you all in Metroid Prime Hunters. On a whole, connections were a lot smoother and consistent than our previous weeks with Mario Kart DS, although after an hour of playing Metroid we felt our left hand had carpal tunnel syndrome. No pain, no gain though, eh? We played some Survival, Battle, Capture and Defender, having fun in all game modes. Once again, thank you all for showing up and we hope to see you next week where we'll play: What will we play during Game Night on 12/12/06? Mario Kart DS again, I need my fix! Metroid Prime Hunters was fun, frag me in! Clubhouse Games needs to be the game of choice! Animal Crossing = let's check out eachother's towns! Let's dogfight in some Star Fox Command! We wish to mingle blocks in Tetris DS! Free polls from Pollhost.com

Another night and another most fun time had by all! While Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connect service was acting up something fierce last night, we still managed to make the best of it and get a few games in and chat for awhile. All in all it was great fun, however most felt that Mario Kart would be best left on the bench this coming Tuesday for the next Game Night. So, you'll see it missing from the poll below. So what will it be next week? What will we play on 12/5/06? Animal Crossing: let's all hang out and fish! Star Fox Command: Arwing combat for me please! Clubhouse Games: anyone up for a game of cards or somesuch? Tetris DS: my falling blocks will CRUSH YOU! Metroid Prime Hunters: let's all frag the hell out of each other! Going into last night's Game Night, we really did not know what to expect. We were hoping that a few of you would be available to totally kick our ass play a game or two, but the support we received and the number of you in the chat told us a different tale. It was a tale of turmoil and self-discovery, one that led a few staffers of a minor blog to a promised land filled with dual-screen delight. Considering the whole thing went extremely well, we're going to make this a regular thing. So we ask that you all vote for next week's game and we hope to see you there again, same place and same time. What game should we play on 11/28/06? Mario Kart again! Messing you all up was SO MUCH FUN! Star Fox Command; let's fly some Arwings! Clubhouse Games; I want a nice, relaxing game. Tetris DS; falling blocks FTW! Metroid Prime Hunters; blast everything!

Tonight's the night! We introduced this feature last week and, as we had hoped, you guys (and gals) were totally on board with the idea. We're glad because spending Tuesday nights alone, chained to the radiator and whipped mercilessly as we blog our lives, and fingertips, away just isn't our ideal night. We need the hour-long break. We need the hope. So, read on ahead for all of the details you'll need to get your Mario Kart on with the DS Fanboy staff!

That's right boys and girls, DS Fanboy is introducing a weekly community event called Game Night. We're looking to get our Wi-Fi fix on and who better to play with then our readers? Nobody, that's who! Every Tuesday night at 8PM EST, starting next week because we need a week to prepare everything, we're going to play a Wi-Fi Connect compatible game with the readers. For the first couple of nights, we'll play for only an hour and, if the demand is there, we can play longer. Every week we'll run a poll to see what game you all want to play, but seeing as how next Tuesday will be the first Game Night, we thought we'd celebrate the debut with the first Wi-Fi Connect compatible game that debuted in Mario Kart DS. Next Tuesday we'll put up our friend codes and provide a link to the chat where we'll be hanging out, talking Nintendo and tossing shells. Thanks for reading and we hope to see you there!
